Mylab is the most useless homework tool and the most unbelievably frustrating and time consuming program a student will ever have to use. The hints are useless, hints SHOULD NOT count against your score because most professors don't teach you how to solve the problems in class and you literally have to rely upon the poorly written and dense descriptions the "Help me solve this" tab provides. Feedback on why you got an answer wrong is literally useless, often along the lines of "check your use of technology", i.e., Microsoft Excel. The program also decides at random where in a calculation you should be rounding, so by the time you enter in your answer, it winds up being 0.1-0.10 decimals off from the "correct" answer.

I have spent entire days trying to attempt to complete 3 statistics questions and found myself unbelievably frustrated and in tears with a failing grade by the end of it, and it is not my fault. Fix your broken program and stop torturing students who are forced to pay to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The hints are very, very rarely helpful with the problem at hand. You get punished for not getting the answer correct the first time by lowering your score, sometimes even giving a zero for that question. If you get a question incorrect, most of the time it simply tell you its wrong. Nothing. This company has left my students hi and dry. My students have been locked out of the system for 4 days and we are getting no response from Pearson. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The platform has been down for 4 days, my students are unable to access the course materials and nothing has been done. Nobody from Pearson is getting back to us, and our local rep tells us that the support team is not responding to his emails either.

My lab has created major problems for the delivery of this course. An online project the students have been working on for 5 weeks and is worth 25% of the overall mark is inaccessible to them because that part of Pearson is down. Nobody is returning our calls or emails. This is an absolute disaster and we haven't heard a word from Pearson. Now, in the last week of this course we are having to scramble and have our students deliver what should have been a 6 week research project in 2 days. From scratch, since all the research they have already done resides within the online platform. We are now advising our students to put together a report that does not even come close to representing the learning outcomes of this course. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

easy to use and great for keeping us on track in the office day to day. its nice to have the easier and laid out formatting so we can naviagte easily and get what we need done in a timely manner and an easy way so that we can get our jobs done and provide the best serviced neccesary to the people we are serving and the people we are helping Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

was a little hard to figure out so a tutorial would have been nice. that or have the extra support online when we arent able to have time to call the phone or have a little pop up where questions could be answered by someone who is online and knowledgable in the site and whats the problem that we may be having Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Flexible options for creating assignments and easy to share with other instructors. Also they have recently reduced the price for students. This is a very big positive! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The automatic grading features are difficult to adapt and to adjust. If assignments are past due the zero is not factored in to the running average for the students even though the option to count unattempted and past due assignments has been checked. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The customizable nature of MyLab is great for my courses. Allowing me to stress course content in areas that I know my students struggle with, while also cutting out nonessential items. The ability to track student progress in real time is also an advantage, allowing for early intervention to help a student before it is too late. Students also find the platform to be very intuitive. The set-up for an instructor to customize the content takes a bit longer than I would like. And load times are sometimes also problematic. The largest disadvantage of the program is the cost, it is simply outrageous. We have discontinued the use of this product for this reason alone. I don't always like the wording of the questions, or the specificity in wording required by some of the answers. This becomes frustrating for both the instructor and the student. I like that this product is simple, but contains alot of options for the user. It is very easy to use and hardly freezes or causes delays Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only thing I dislike is that it is sometimes hard to navigate through the screens. Tabs and buttons are not descriptive and do not seem like they relate to the link. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
