## Mural Reviews
  ### 1. Best Collaboration Platform Ever!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

It's super easy (and intuitive) to use and there is a lot of different features that make MURAL helpful for planning, brainstorming, team building, and more, especially for remote teams.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

I wish there were more templates and icons available - they library is great right now, but would love to have even more options!

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Difficulty of collaborating with teams and clients across different locations - it makes it so much easier to collaborate and share ideas. Difficulty tracking projects and displaying ideas - MURAL allows my team and me to track projects, timelines, deliverables, etc. in a very visual way that is customizable and easy to understand.

  ### 2. Mural is a key tool for my work

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

I love the ease of use and many of the different features which make it an ideal collaborative tool for remote work. I love the ability to add content such as icons and images without having to leave the Mural.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

Not much to say in terms of negative feedback. I would just encourage them to continue adding more features (especially for adding content through the app), but nothing comes to mind at the moment.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am part of a group that develops innovative solutions for our project teams, and Mural is our go-to resource for managing project tasks, brainstorming, and collaborating.

  ### 3. I genuinely enjoy collaborating in Mural.

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

Mural is user-friendly and easy to navigate. I appreciate the outline feature as it helps keep my team organized during facilitation. Additionally, the icons add an enjoyable touch to the experience.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

I find the toolbar that appears to be obstructive while I am viewing the content on the board.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I utilize Mural to facilitate training sessions, planning discussions, brainstorming activities, and process mapping.

  ### 4. Mural enabled me and my team to have more creativity and flexibility in our work.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Umar M. | Business Intelligence Performance Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Mural?**

The most helpful thing about Mural for me has been it's simplicity. It doesn't pressure you into using a certain template or using it in a certain way. You can simply have a vision, and make it a reality just by using basic features on the infinite canvas. That's enough to spark creativity and focus on solving problems, whilst bringing people together (in person or virtually).

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

It's hard for me to say since it's more of a want rather than a need, but I would like to see more integrations with other BI (business intelligence) tools such as Power BI. For example, you could have a Power BI report in a workspace, and then pin visuals from the report to the Mural canvas (somehow). The MURAL could be configured to refresh on a set interval so that it reflects the same data as in the Power BI report. Currently, Power BI is limited in terms of how creatively you can display visuals. You are limited by canvas size, shapes, style etc. However, leveraging Mural's environment, I could really see some beautiful reporting coming to life in a more engaging way, especially as users are able to annotate and engage with the data /visuals in a more meaningful way.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One particular problem which Mural helped me solve relates to the quality assurance process of the Power BI reports our team produces. We produce several reports a month across a team of 16 people. One step in that process is called the peer review, which is essentially a step where 3 members of the team get assigned to do a review of the report, and make sure it's up to standards. This may include the functionality of the report, but also visually as well. Up until I joined the team, and for almost 1 year after, the peer reviews were done in OneNote. This involved the auditors leveraging a poorly formatted table in which they had to take screenshots of their findings, and then add comments to explain what it is they are flagging. After the auditing period concluded, a meeting would be held to go over the feedback. However, due to the lack of a proper template, there was no consistency in how the report owner would indicate whether the findings were accepted (and then subsequently, implemented) or rejected.

I deicded this had to be changed, and leveraged Mural to solve the problem. I created a process by which the report owner simply takes a screenshot of each page of the report, and pastes them into an area I defined for visual aspects of the report. There is another area created to log any functionality related findings. Now the auditors just have to use annotations (stick notes or comments) on the existing images to indicate their findings. If needed, they can take a screenshot of something that isn't shown in the image, which is not often the case.

Now, the peer review meeting time has gone down from 1 hour to 30 minutes or less, which is a huge time saving for our team. Not to mention, the quality of our reports has increased significantly, and the process is much more engaging and user-friendly. It feels more human, which is important because design is another form of human language and expression.

  ### 5. A tool for experts and novices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luisa T. | Líder de innovación, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

It has great facilities to adapt to any context in which you need it. Create collaborative exercises, make plans, follow-up flows, design proposals, it is a great place to create ideas and organize them to your liking.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

Sometimes it is not so easy to connect users who have never used it before.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can clearly show and explain an idea
I can create useful designs in a few steps
I can do collaborative exercises

  ### 6. Mural is an incredible tool for free-form collaboration and workshops

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

I love the ability to work in a free-from manner and create my own structure rather than be constrained by formatting. I like that there are many different types of shapes and features, and I can still paste in images and links. I love the copy-paste feature from Excel that pastes each cell in as stickies. I appreciate how intuitive the tool is, making it easy for new users to engage quickly.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

I wish I could have variation in text formatting within sticky notes. Honestly, I have very few complaints. I love Mural, couldn't do my work without it, and I recommend it to anyone.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote collaboration across teams, making it easy to brainstorm and work through new thinking with folks across the country.
Ability to conduct workshops with remote clients.

  ### 7. My experience with Mural

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

The ability to duplicate boards. A lot of the boards I use are very similar, and I tend to use about 3 different 'templates' - the ease with which I can duplicate boards saves me countless hours setting up new boards from scratch

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

The desktop App for Mac has been down for sometime, and I much prefer it to the web version. The biggest issue I have with the web version is when I'm using my track pad to move around the board it often ends up triggering the 'back' in my browser and sending me to my previous URL.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm a user researcher, so Mural makes notetaking and affinity mapping incredibly easy. Notes and insights are easily traceable, and I don't have to spend hours converting physical post-its to digital ones

  ### 8. Good funcionalities, not so good look

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marek K. | Product Manager – Direct Appka, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

Set of functionalities is OK. Decent automation - automatic linking, templates, etc.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

I dislike the sticky notes layout picking and text sizes system. You cannot alternate among sticker layouts by simply dragging. Predefined text sizes are also not very good.
I also dislike the overall look, feels a bit cheap and archaic to me.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves my need for a digital whiteboard to do product management stuff.

  ### 9. Mural Board Use for Medical Students

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

The fact that it's collaborative in real-time, that it is powerful and has a lot of functionalities, and it's infinite on all sides.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

It can be rather slow at times (it takes time to buffer), and when we work on them, it can be hard to annotate and glitch a lot. The images we upload may not be very high quality too, so when quality is important, we can't use the Mural Board to look at them to make diagnoses about histology slides.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm a student, so it's primarily benefittting me in terms of my medical education. No business things

  ### 10. More learning curve, big impact

I've used many platforms, and the collaborative experience when engaging with multiple individuals can often be crazy. **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Mural?**

What I like best is how easy it is to drag, drop, and arrange thoughts—it feels natural, like a digital whiteboard.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

It can get a bit cluttered with too many people editing at once, and sometimes, the interface feels a little laggy.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mural helps solve the problem of messy, unorganized brainstorming by giving teams a clear, visual space to collaborate in real time. It makes remote teamwork easier, keeps ideas structured, and speeds up decision-making.

For me, it’s a big win because it keeps brainstorming sessions productive and prevents ideas from getting lost in endless emails or chats. Plus, it’s wayyy more engaging than a boring document.

  ### 36. Mural is the ultimate solution for collaboration and shared creativity

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clara S. | Senior Service Delivery Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Mural?**

Mural is core to all the work I do on a day-to-day basis. In this digital remote world, when working from home or with remote teams is way more frequent than being in person, a whiteboard collaboration tool is just essential for our every day work.
Mural brings the best out of it. Easy to use by most people. The look and feel is very slick, modern, effective. It is really reliable, I haven't had any glitches or lost any work out of it. Bringing guests and external collaborators is quite seamless, even with people not technology oriented.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

When murals are at a certain scale, there are some performance issues and my laptop seems to slow down. It is only when workspaces are created too big, so it is maybe more of an user misuse, but I think it could be somehow optimized.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote collaboration with remote teams based in the US and around the world. Otherwise, I don't really know how that collaboration could happen. There are other tools out there, but not by far as effective as Mural.

  ### 37. Everyone can and should use Mural

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edward C. | Training Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Mural?**

Ease of use for any level of tech user. Versatile to be a traditional whiteboard, slide deck, or tool for effective synchronous or asynchronous learning.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

Although efforts have been made to update the mobile app it is just not practical to use on a mobile device for interaction. I think this is due to more of the nature of the program not the app design.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A way to capture information in one place that many can access in addition it can be a communication hub for action items and questions after meetings or presentations.

  ### 38. Mural is the tool that allows you to interact with people from different cultures

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Valerio A. | Teacher of "La visualizzazione come strumento per la collaborazione" online course 💻, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Mural?**

Mural is the tool that allows you to express yourself and what you want to communicate, adapting to your needs and those of others. It is not just a tool, but an important means of synchronous and asynchronous interaction and communication. It can be used both for personal reasons (organising trips, activities, book reviews, study notes) and for professional reasons in teams and to support entire organisations.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

I really appreciate how user friendly it is and full of templates you can use and customize for any need. Also great is the customer care and IT support.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

Templates and good multi-user performance

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

No option to add more details on the sticky notes/shapes (details view)

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Roadmap planning, Ideation

  ### 40. Mural has been the perfect tool for group planning or facilitating an interactive online workshop.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Mural?**

Intuitive interface. Regular improvements.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

The only trouble I've had with Mural is when trying to have too many teams (10+) work in their own area at once.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Group planning is much easier with the Mural Board. It allows everyone to participate. Also good for presentations where a linear powerpoint is less interesting or effective.

  ### 41. Great for Process Mapping

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris A. | Principal Organizational Strategy Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Mural?**

I like using Mural for process mapping. It is super flexible and easy to manipulate on the fly live with clients.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

I wish that you could spellcheck all text in shapes in the document at once.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding current state business processes.

  ### 42. Wonderful tool for visual people to structure yor thinking and show it to others

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Artem S. | Senior Manager, Imaging, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Mural?**

Freedom and usability. No frames, boundaries, or technical restrictions and limitations. Go messy and tidy up later - helps to organize my brain and clear out the clutter. Also minimalistic, intuitive interface with only essential elements makes it much easier to learn and use.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

Most of the templates are too complicated as for my taste, overloaded with details and elements. But that is just a subjective thing. Also the grouping of sheets into workspaces and rooms, somehow is confusing to me, need to triple check the access and scratch my head every time I want to separate personal murals from the public/shared ones.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My role is centered around processes mapping, redesign, optimisation and analysis and I can't imaging a better told for that than Mural. I tried different solutions in the past, but none of them came close to it.

  ### 43. Best whiteboard and collaboration tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom C. | Senior Professional Educator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Mural?**

Mural simplifies the start, making it effortless for you and your team to dive in and create together. The templates are a powerful launchpad for your meetings, and the learning curve is so gentle that your entire team will be up and running in no time.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

I dislike nothing. This tool is by far the best in its class that I have used in years!

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mural eliminates groupthink on projects, resolves problems within the allotted time, and adds an element of fun to project work.

  ### 44. Great tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Mural?**

They have great templates to help guide your work and provide you with ideas of how to best leverage your time and effort.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

It takes some time to learn all the tools in it. When running virtual workshops, everyone needs to have a certain level of knowledge of how to use it in order to make the workshop productive.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping by providing useful tools that can be used to think through problems, test new tools, and prioritize our work.

  ### 45. A top class tool for remote collaboration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Mural?**

It is one of the best tools to use for remote collaboration purposes. It is user-friendly, intuitive, and feature rich.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

Nothing particualr. Ticks all my boxes for a collaborative tool.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for several purposes. For e.g.,:
1. Visualising my research planner
2. Ideating with stakeholders
3. A common space for stakeholders to write notes when observing moderated research

  ### 46. A dynamic, user-friendly platform for collaboration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neil F. | Process Lead, Content Creator - Social Content Studio | MACS Global, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Mural?**

If you want to make collaboration fun, especially via team calls, then I'd highly suggest Mural. It has a lovely sticky-notes visual aesthetic can can be dragged, dropped, and edited by the various collaborators. All inputs get recorded in real-time and you receive a keyword cloud at the end of responses in some cases too. This makes the platform quite easy to use and your team members would really enjoy these sessions as they involve dynamic participation.

I haven't faced issues with customer service and they are pretty timely with their responses.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

I don't think I can think of any negative points at the moment. Pretty happy with it. :)

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping making team calls more dynamic, fun, and interesting
Enabling us to very easily include a two-way participation that doesn't feel forced (due to the first point mentioned)
A novel way to brainstorm

  ### 47. Using Mural for the first time

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Russell K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Mural?**

Intuative, has lots of examples and resources.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

could use better user onboarding tools, difficult to navigate the first time

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Good resource for documenting projects and tools in preset formats

  ### 48. Diagramming? Facilitating conversations? Doing training? Mural has you covered

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg K. | Director of Information Systems, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Mural?**

Mural is the tool I use that makes my coworkers think I'm better at sensemaking than I really am. Fast, easy, expressive, Mural is great.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

Literally nothing? Mural has all the features I want and more. And the price is reasonable.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mural solves several problems for me:
1. I make a lot of diagrams (flowcharts, service journies, roadmaps, process flows) and Mural makes it easy to build all of these things with a consistent look.
2. I regularly facilitate retrospectives or user research sessions and Mural's intuitive tools for stickies and voting and timers all help make the process fun and easy.
3. I do trainings, workshops, and presentations and find that Mural's facilitator tools let me draw people to the same part of the page, have them work on things together, learn things, and build work products together.
4. When I'm doing "mesearch" or diagramming to help me research ideas for myself I often grab screenshots and organize them in a Mural.

It helps me do a better job of a lot of things I used to do without Mural and does it well with remote participants. That office sticky-on-the-wall exercise to gather ideas and do "dot voting" on them is now way faster and easier in a Mural. Whether I'm collaborating or working alone, Mural is super helpful!

  ### 49. Mural boards are great for collaboration..

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Mural?**

It's like a virtual board where teams can collaborate, share ideas and drive improvements, and the UI is very creative and fresh out of box taking the boring and monotonous interfaces out.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

Nothing to dislike, serves its purpose well.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cross teams collaboration..

  ### 50. Mural is outstanding

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chèree V. | Associate Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Mural?**

I have been using Mural for my teams brainstorming activities and it is a game changer, I hadn't been able to really do this well due to virtual team structure but Mural makes it easy. I also love the various templates, I haven't even had the chance to use them all but they are going to be a game changer.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

I don't have much to say that I dislike about Mural. I initially had some issues with bringing in people that were not part of my organization but have since resolved that.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am used to the old school brainstorming sessions with physical whiteboard and post it notes. Since my teams are now virutal, I had been struggling with different ways to accomplish a similar experience. Someone in our PMO showed me Mural and I was hooked. It is so close to being in the same room and has really helped me to have that same expierence I have been looking for.
