The Anypoint platform is a simple and easy to use IDE to build APIs and Integration on-premises and cloud based applications. MuleSoft provides excellent online training lasting for 8 weeks for beginners which enables any new comer to start build his/her own applications. MuleSoft support team is helpful and provides quick solutions or reference to links in case of roadblocks during development. The DataSense feature provided by the Mule platform is also a very unique feature and eases application integration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The IDE sometimes behaves in an unexpected manner but I can say that it is improving with the MuleSoft upgraded versions of Studio. It would be great if MuleSoft provides solutions to the common issues seen while developing flows or in dataweave on forums like stackexchange similar to what we see for other technologies. Also, more hands on videos will be of great help since its a growing technology. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ease of use, Simplistic design, cloud based Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not many things to dislike, but a hybrid set up (on-prem + cloud) could be intimidating to some where you need to know what is running where and some apps show up on cloudhub while others don't. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Anypoint Platform is a full integration and API suite; you have all the tools that you need, development, test, operation, monitoring and if you go for cloud also analysis tools. You also have an option for a PaaS with Cloudhub, including a free account so you can start testing right away.
Then there is the visual representation of integrations, which makes it possible to get a nice overview of the integrations.
It is often possible to get a minimal working prototype in a matter of hours, and not months so thumbs up.

Well, not everything is fluffy pink clouds, or in this case fluffy blue clouds.
In real life, integrations are not as simple as all the examples show.
The tools from Mulesoft are in rapid development, some of it is, of course, bug fixing. So you have to be careful not to do updates headlessly because some updates break functionality.
For Anypoint Studio, the consequence is that some functionality is not always working. I have especially seen this when working on Linux.
The Mule Runtime Engine is also hit by this sometimes, but Mulesoft is quite good to fix this in an acceptable timeframe.

The flexibility for either cloud based rapid deployment or the detailed, controllable on-premise installation options, with hybrid as an option for gradual migration from one to the other.
Standards based development is a great help (Java, JSON, XML, Apache commons and other open source).
The exchange system makes it easy to get pre-built components and patterns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A historic lack of published best practice. There is a lot of documentation designed to get one off the ground with the basics but anything beyond takes some effort. So from basic to intermediate there is quite a bit of coverage but from moderate to experiences a lot of it figure it out for yourself. This is being addressed though with the Mule Champions program and their output, Mule Summits and potentially the MuleSoft M2 best practice due soon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the way IDE is dynamic and easy to use for a developer. Overall a very developer friendly system which would ease and decrease developer timelines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
i dislike the fact that sometimes workspace gets corrupted, so its ideal to save the project from time to time. this happens very rarely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Anypoint Platform is a very cool integration product that make easier the developer's work and allow a better communication between business analyst, that design the APIs, and developers, that implement the APIs.
Also the DevOps integration is very very good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The cloud version doesn't support the clustering, that is very useful in some use cases and sometimes it's not very clear what's happening during a deploy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Need to know JAVA to be an expert in Mulesoft.
Since it is based on spring framework, sometimes to many directories to manage just for simple integration.
Lengthy process to develop api and deployment to the portal and configuring endpoint. Not easy to track the mistake.
As Anypoint Studio is very comprehensive tool, smaller integration projects may not be able to fully utilize the power of the tool.
One jar missing and you are dead.
Hard to understand the log for non Java user.
Documentation is good but can be better with more examples.

The Tool really is does a great job when it comes to API Design(RAML), Documentation - using the features for exposing the details to Consumer using API Portal. API Notebook is another cool feature where I am yet to explore many things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Design Time Governance is lacking. If the API Design Lifecycle is also available then the enforcement of Design Time Governance will be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
