Need to know JAVA to be an expert in Mulesoft.
Since it is based on spring framework, sometimes to many directories to manage just for simple integration.
Lengthy process to develop api and deployment to the portal and configuring endpoint. Not easy to track the mistake.
As Anypoint Studio is very comprehensive tool, smaller integration projects may not be able to fully utilize the power of the tool.
One jar missing and you are dead.
Hard to understand the log for non Java user.
Documentation is good but can be better with more examples.

The API Led Connectivity Approach of System, Process and Experience Layer
The connector capability they have is vast such as connector for all AWS services like S3, SQS, Dynamo DB and so on, SAP connector, Kafka Connector, Salesforce and many more integration made easy using Mulesoft. Dataweave extremely loved a lot. We can play with dataweave with lots and lots of inbuilt functions Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Error Handling Capability can be improved and could be made more consistent and it will be great if the logs exclude the complete stack trace as it's not useful much and due to that unable to see actual cause of the error Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
MuleSoft is extremely user-friendly and easy to learn for all users, including non-technical resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are better options out there, if you have the budget for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use this platform very frequently. The AnyPoint Platform from MuleSoft has tons of connectors and tools for making integration super easy, whether on-site or in the cloud. Seriously, it is loaded with awesome features like reusable assets, solid API management, and monitoring built in-nice all rounded up into one big package for large integrations. That's cool, how easy it is to set up integration; it takes businesses in, gets them up and running fast without those crazy coding skills. Also, when customers encounter some issues, that will be pretty easy for them to reach Customer Support, which is superbly documented and in real quick response. MuleSoft can be overwhelming for those without integration experience due to the steep learning curve, even though it is feature-rich. A bit expensive, this makes it a lot less accessible to smaller companies. For advanced use cases, extra customization and tuning is required, which once more diminishes the Low-Code/No-Code value in complex use cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease of Use:
Anypoint platform is easy to setup and use. The documentation is very straightforward and easy to use: easy integration with SSO, Identity provider, role based access management.
End to end API Lifecycle:
Design center lets you create the API specification in format of choice. Then Exchange lets you publish the API spec and have documentation around it. API manager to manage the API access and policies and Runtime manager to run the actual API instance.
Cost:
Platform is quite expensive to use, although the new usage based pricing has come has a relief. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Expensive to setup, large upfront cost.
No devops capabilities for API implementation.
No API gateway present to manage non Mule application( there is Flex gateway, but that has to be managed and run by the customer) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how easy it is to integrate any system with the help of clicks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Haven't extensively worked on the platform to note significant disadvantages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One drawback of MuleSoft Anypoint Platform is its relatively high cost, especially for smaller organizations or projects with limited budgets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
