I find the platform easy to use, easy to set up, and offers many customizable options for reaching the right people with the best message. More, I can send batches of outreach as independent emails which increases open rates and responses. I also find upload my own list of "influencers" a great feature. The database is top-notch and, if a reporter is missing, the support team will add them in just a few minutes. I also love that I can customize pitches. I can send a release with a more general pitch at the top for most of the reporters, then change that to a custom pitch for a handful of reporters. It takes time, but it's so worth it! The one thing MuckRack doesn't have that would be extremely helpful is a way to keep track of where things are in a media inquiry lifecycle. For instance, I like to know how many inquiries we have had, be able to download the list, be able to tag them for the expert that was interviewed and the topic, know at a glance if the inquiry is still open (as in, I'm working on setting up an interview) or if the interview took place and I'm now waiting for the story to be published.

Muck Rack makes it incredibly easy to find the right people to connect to. I frequently use it when compiling media lists, and it's search feature makes it way less headache-inducing then other tools I've used.
