Muck Rack's power comes from its curated database of media professionals. Through a combination of AI data gathering and human updates, it is more responsive and more accurate than other options in this space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is difficult to see the full power of Muck Rack without purchasing several add-ons. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that MuckRack reduces the time I would spend having to manually look up contacts. I use it daily to track coverage, create reports, and more. It integrated easily with my workflow. If I ever have an issue, their customer support team is very accessible and respond quick. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Because of how common our company name is, often the filter system can do so much but I know their team is working hard to make our experience using it better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Compared to some of their competitors Muck Rack is both cost effective and easy to navigate. Their support has always been extremely responsive and overall the expereince and features have been top notch. When I was comparing this against our prior solution it was apparent that they had taken feedback from users and spent a lot of time to get the user expereince right. I asked our prior provider about some of these things on a call and they acted as if I was the first person who had asked for some of those features. Migrating to the platform has been relatively painless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So far there isn't much I don't like. The platform h as been intuitive and easy to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Their platform is very easy to use, and their large database of reporters comes in handy. I love the responsiveness of their team if I find a discrepancy in a reporter's profile - they're always quick to help me figure it out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish so badly that there was the capability to search by audience demographic! Like, "I want to be in publications read by high net worth attorneys" - I'd love to be able to search that in MuckRack and have it spit out a list of publications for me to target. I have been using Muckrack professionally for over 5 years. I've used several different platform, and it is definitely my favorite by a long mile. The database is always up-to-date and their team is quick to help for any missing contact information. We also use the platform as a media listening tool and I am able to track publicity hits across 500+ brands that fall under our coverage. I love being able to pitch directly within the platform, and to track follow ups and make notes on the contact profile. I highly recommend this platform to anyone who is interested! The price is definitely steep, and the platform might be better suited to medium-big size companies. That being said, you definitely get your moneys worth with Muckrack. It's a worthy investment for anyone looking for build their media relations and track publicity efforts across brands. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have considered myself a walking advertisement for a competitor of Muck Rack in the past. I had not even heard of Muck Rack until the last year when an intern said they used it. I was skeptical. When my organization decided to re-evaluate systems, Muck Rack became a clear favorite. It is so much easier to navigate, reporting is easier and the background on the journalists rock! Also, customer service has been amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Really, I haven't found much to dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No exaggeration, Muck Rack has completely transformed the way my PR colleagues and I work. Our team had been anchored to a subpar competing platform for years -- a woefully incomplete media database, clunky engagement capabilities, lots of manual labor required, etc. On the hunt for better tools, we demoed Muck Rack and were impressed by the features and functionality. Now that it's deployed, we are absolutely blown away! Some highlights:
* We love Muck Rack's seamless integration with Outlook and how it automates our pitching and provides robust visibility of media engagement across the team. It was effortless to configure.
* The coverage monitoring alerts are robust, surfacing clips that our other monitoring tools miss. The platform makes it easy to manually search for coverage, too.
* The media database is the most complete I've ever seen, and the fact that it's organized by journalist (instead of by media outlet like some other widely used platforms) delivers considerably deeper insight into your media targets' interests and sweet spots. You can easily see and even search reporters' articles across the media outlets for which they write.
We've been using Muck Rack just a few months, and I feel like we've only scratched the surface of what the platform offers. I'm in and out of it several times a day. Top to bottom, it is user-friendly and intuitive. In complement, Muck Rack has a comprehensive array of online tutorials built into the platform, which is great for users to explore and learn its features and functionality at their own pace.
Our onboarding team was excellent and the online support resources are quick and responsive. I'm not one to speak in superlatives, but Muck Rack has earned the rave review. Take the plunge! The only thing you'll regret is not doing it sooner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love how Muck Rack automates the logging of email communications that happen with journalists outside the platform, but I wish there was a way to categorize the relevant messages as pitches vs. email logs, so that they would show in the in-platform pitching interface.
I also wish the pitching interface offered more text formatting options. I particularly miss being able to indent text, as I do when pitching by email to make my pitches easier to skim.
But these limitations are minor frictions in comparison to what Muck Rack delivers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

capability to customize dashboards, create different searches and built reports with it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
doesn't auto-update, and the way to add search in the widget isn't easy as selection to distribute to all widgets, and once I change the saved search, it doesn't auto-populate the changes, needs to remove and re-set, so still involves a lot of manual work Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Muck rack has proven to be best platform for PR professionals due to the streamlined platform, pitch features and definitely the most comprehensive contact database. And budget friendly in comparison to other services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No 24/7 help line for when traveling abroad for work or late night release preparation Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how easy it is to make a coverage reports and love the set it and forget it search alerts. I use it almost every day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our market is very niche, so we've had to ask to have a lot of the online journals, blogs, etc. to be added to the system instead of them already being there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
