"Efficient process planning tool to reduce interfaces between MTM and SAP"

What do you like best about TiCon?

The transparency and traceability in SAP between the routing, changes, and time-data according to MTM. The integration in SAP is very useful to retrace changes that effect the method and therefore also the time.

Our data is now more useful: we can evaluate and continuously compare it, for example by showing the value added over selected data ranges.

The function of parallelism and net plan graphics make it easier for us to map more complex manufacturing structures.

We can create data cards from our own in-house process modules including the graphical design to be used in SAP without external or IT support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TiCon?

The performance of the software could be a little bit better and there is no way to undo certain steps during an analysis, like it is the case in the Windows software. The graphical user interface and evaluation options are restricted, but I assume this is due to SAP itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is TiCon solving and how is that benefiting you?

We were able to build our central time-management database composed of time studies and MTM-analysis directly in SAP. It combines all data und functions in our SAP, which we use as standard planning and management tool.

With TiCon for SAP we have a solution that allows us to bring all our data together and ensures that we always have the most recent and correct composition of the time-data in SAP.

What do you like best about TiCon?

Due to the direct integration of TiCon into our system, we were able to realize a quick introduction and a rapid rollout. With the help of TiCon, we achieve transparency in all steps of the production process and thus the necessary acceptance regarding our time data.

The MTM-Team is combining in depth software knowledge with well-founded industrial engineering knowledge to support us. What do you dislike about TiCon?

What problems is TiCon solving and how is that benefiting you?

In TiCon we not only create the standard times of our processes but also use the resulting data as a decision criterion for our visions in IE (e.g. with the help of TiCon balancing or NVA analysis). Furthermore, TiCon gives us in depth understanding about the impact of our variants to the assembly lines. By understanding the impact of certain variants we are able to level the lines much better, avoid bottlenecks and therefore improve our efficiency. The MTM calculations further support process analysis and optimizations.

What problems is TiCon solving and how is that benefiting you?

The MTM based manufacturing times calculated by TICON ensure harmonized processes and manufacturing times for all plants which builds the baseline for an efficient Line Balancing and MES output. The transparency in the time calculation leads to a higher acceptance of the calculated times.
