Nastran is the industry-standard software (in aerospace at least). It may not feel very 21st century (it was originally developed for the moon missions in the 1960s), but it does what you expect it to do (mostly). It's commercial software, so you will have to pay for the pleasure. Be aware that Nastran-95 has been released as open-source software without support and is available for download here: https://github.com/nasa/NASTRAN-95 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The manuals are all pdf based - you need to know where to look. The programmer interface through 'DMAPS' is painful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
