I was pretty overwhelmed by all the robust options; I'm not really a tech person and was pretty daunted by the API settings needed for my advanced transfer, but the customer service folks were top notch! Super accessible, clearly walked me through the setup, and instantly understood what I needed and was trying to accomplish. Now I run my transfers with just a few clicks and it works great! At first I was disappointed that it's so complex and robust in its options and features. It wasn't that intuitive for a non-tech person to get started. Fortunately that isn't a concern since there is really easy tech support to get me up and running and after I got walked through it, it's a breeze to run new batches now ! When transferring data from one platform to another, a multitude of things go through your mind;

how will I cope with shared data?

how will I be able to consolidate personal folders and company drives without creating a mountain of admin work setting up the move?

how will I check for errors?

how will I know if the transfer speeds will not cause me issues with client scheduling?

The list goes on. Movebot made these questions disappear in a few clicks. My first projects were challenging moves, I had attempted the moves on other tools and quite honestly, they were a disaster, when I moved them into Movebot it was set up and ready to roll in 30-40 minutes.

The project itself took 5 hours to complete fully with 800GB+ moved from dropbox to google workspace and 0 (yes ZERO) errors. This, in comparison with the previous tool, took 16 DAYS to complete with over 8500+ errors.

I can't score this tool highly enough.

The total data migrated determines the price. This is both a pro and a con. In more extensive migrations, there are times when the source data changes after a first pass, and we have needed to re-run passes to bring everything into the destination. This has not been a significant problem, but I could foresee an issue moving larger data sets a second time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We are a small non-profit with no IT department so ease of use and good support were crucial. We paid a VERY modest fee) for personalized support, and that along with a very easy-to-use product made the entire migration process smooth and easy on me (not a particularly technical person) and my organization. This was not a problem, as the team I worked with at movebot was very accommodating, and having the timezone offset actually worked out in my favor for overnight syncs, but an observation to note is that there are no Americas time zone rep, but the company is growing so they may expand their resources.
