Motus Pros and Cons

For our drivers - it's simple, straighforward, and requires very little of their time. It's a great way for the company to provide a tax-free maximized reimbursment.

Not sure this is really a Motus dislike as much as it is an issue with some of the decisions made during my company's onboarding and lack of guideance. We didn't fully understand the long-term maintenance impacts of some of the business decisions made during go-live. A better understanding of best practices would have made things smoother. I only use it for capturing and submitting mileage and it's straight forward. My only gripe would be with the auto capture feature and how it stops automatically if I make a pit stop for gas. I would like it to continue capturing until I intervene. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I wish there were improvement on the address to address mileage calculation. For some trips, the mileage isn't always accurate because it assumes you took a route the GPS did not take you. I work an odd schedule, so the automatic tracking feature makes it easy to track my business miles. It's easier to delete my non biz drives than remember where I went and create manual entries (although you can add manually if needed). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Manual entries default to the route that Motus decides you took. In a busy metro, your actual route may be different - and longer - than Motus's assumption. I haven't found a way to adjust for that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Most helpful part of using Motus is being able to set your work schedule up - and essentially set it and forget it. The application doest all the work of tracking your travel throughout the work week and the during the hours you designate. Making this the easiest and most efficent way to track your mileage. There are rare times that the app for whatever reason doesn't track your travel - could be that you have mulitple apps open at the same time - or something else. However, this is rare and a minor inconvenience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
