Motive helps us keep our fleet on track,and AI and safety features help our company to take care in what we need to focus.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

Sometimes the GPS is not accurate. or dash cam events don't record.

**What problems is Motive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motive always tries to fix the issues that we encounter; they sent our issue to the Department that handles each concern. Motive follows up right away, by calling to notify that the issue has been resolved or by email with the case number.

Motive is a great option if you’re looking for a straightforward way to track your assets.

If I had to come up with 1 thing I disliked about Motive, it would be the Mobile application; it is almost too simplified. It would be nice to have more options.

In my industry, tracking assets for customers is paramount; everything runs on a clock, and being able to inform customers with a more detailed time frame makes life a lot better

no far i have been using motive for 2 months and i have not been getting any issues

it picks up dangerous driving, send clip of it so i can be able  to speak to the driver to correct their action before anything serious happens, i can see locations of all units so i can know who is closer to assist other units

real time tracking and Geo fencing with alerts

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

Cant really think of any downsides but we use this in pickups and I think is may be geared a little more towards semi's the hard breaking is a little sensitive but I can review and dismiss the alert

Being able to see the location of our trucks whenever I need makes it easy for me to stop by jobsites while I’m out, simply by checking the trucks on my app.

**What do you like best about Motive?**

I like how easy the dashboard is to use and how much vehicle data it gives you. I like how much customization there is. There wasn't a big learning curve when switching over to Motive which made it more appealing. I like how I can adjust the safety settings to accommodate how I want my drivers' scores to be affected. It was very easy to set up, aside from some bugs that required manual entry.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

The customer service hasn't always been great. Also, there were some bugs in the import software that required me to enter info manually.

I use Motive to keep track of all my vehicles and monitor driver safety, creating driver accountability.

**What do you like best about Motive?**

I like that with Motive, we can immediately understand what was going on in the driver's cabin and outside of the vehicle when an incident happens. It relies less on 'he said, she said' and instead provides the cold hard facts.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

The installation process was a bit hard to get reliably uniform across the whole fleet. It was a little confusing setting up the hardware with the various different types of vehicles we have.

I use Motive to track technicians' travels, preventing distracted driving accidents. It helps understand incidents with facts, reducing disputes and ensuring safe vehicle usage.

I really enjoy the dashboard. It’s a one-stop shop for all my ELD needs and wants, and it makes everything easy to find in one place.

Honestly, there isn’t really anything to dislike. It’s by far the best ELD platform on the market.

I like how user friendly Motive is. The fact that coaching is built in is another great aspect. I can see if it's the user's first offense or if it's a continued issue. The setup was pretty easy for me, even though I had never used any vehicle tracking app before using Motive. I also appreciate how it helps us track assets, speed, and provides effective coaching.

I guess for me would be for the AI to recognize if it wasn't the drivers fault.

Driver behavior monitoring from a safety perspective is terrific. The cameras are sharp and the system metrics are flexible and meaningful.
The customer service is timely and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

There are problems with false alerts in the system and Motive has not been able to resolve it. This has been an ongoing problem since the beginning. There doesnt seem to be a fix for it or a sense of urgency in getting it resolved.

Monitoring driver behaviors. Instilling in our drivers that safe driving is important with live examples of areas for improvement. Drivers are accepting and even embracing the call-outs and monitoring their own safety scores for alert impact to their scores.

Motive is easy to use and navigate, and there is a wealth of information at your fingertips. We can easily check on our technicians' locations, ETAs, vehicle status, and more!

I dislike the number of emails they send out regarding products and functionality.

We have to schedule and dispatch technicians all over our corner of the state. Being able to check locations in real time helps me to keep our customers better informed.

I like the ease of installation with Motive. It's very simple, unlike my previous experience where I needed someone to do it, which was a process with a lot of downtime. I appreciate the ease of repair if something goes wrong and the overall support that we get.

I used to be able to watch in real time with our own system, where I could click on any vehicle and monitor during the day. Now, with Motive, I have to go back and just watch the recordings.

**What do you like best about Motive?**

It gives me real time access to where my driver is, where they have been. This it  great tool providing customer support when they are wondering about their delivery. 

It also helps keep us all safe by making sure that we are following safety and traffic rules.
I can use it every day to keep an eye on my fleet.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

- Making trips is Clunky, 
- The driver can't edit trips if the route changes
- I want the driver to be able to upload pictures by day and by stop, but that seems te impossible without creating a trip for them .

**What problems is Motive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main one is reminding us of errors that we make. For example, I just to come to rolling stops at stop signs. I do not do that anymore. Same with my main driver.

I like Motive's ability to review a video after an incident or near miss. I find the use of videos valuable for understanding who is at fault, correcting driver behavior, and recognizing drivers for doing well.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

I would like to be able to review videos even if a truck is damaged and can no longer power on. I would also like better reporting. It is a bit time consuming to replace hardware across the company.

I use Motive for fleet management, compliance, and safety. It helps me find where trucks are and how they can be utilized most efficiently. I appreciate the ability to review videos post-incident to understand faults and correct driver behavior.

I really like Motive's reliability and uptime. The system makes sure that trucks never seem to be offline, which means if I want to know where a crew is or when they arrived, there’s never a question. Also, the customer service was a big reason why we switched from Fleet Complete to Motive, which I appreciate.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

Time zones of our fleet in other areas make things confusing.

I use Motive for tracking vehicles, knowing where everyone is at any time. The system's reliability and uptime are great; trucks never seem to be offline. I can always see where a crew is or when they arrived, so there’s never a question.

**What do you like best about Motive?**

I think the best feature of Motive is the tracking link because it allows me to set it up with a timer to confirm that the load has been delivered. I also appreciate the recap hours, which help explain to drivers how much time they have available after their full cycle. The initial setup was really easy and it worked right away. I would definitely recommend the Motive app; it fills the role full-time for what we need.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

Sometimes there's a lot of miscommunication with the ELT and the actual Motive, leading to issues with drivers getting reconnected. I've heard that some drivers have problems with the app, though I don't face this because I use the website.

**What problems is Motive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motive solves our tracking problems, giving us exact driver hours and drive time to optimize loan pickups. The tracking link sets timers for load delivery and explains available driver time after a full cycle.

**What do you like best about Motive?**

I like Motive's intuitive dashboard and the useful reports it provides. The ability to have multiple groups is great for tracking different company assets in one place. The new AI dash cameras are easy to install, have a slim design, and they look much better than the older versions. I appreciate Motive's integration with Whip Around, which is our maintenance software. Their customer service is also helpful and responsive when I need assistance. The product delivers better vehicle data through the camera OBDII connection, which is valuable. The setup was smooth with support from the Motive team through weekly meetings.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

So far I feel that the features of the dash camera service provides the information I need. I did have to buy an additional camera cable and when directed to the Motive Shop website that specific cable wasn't listed, but their customer service helped me conclude the order.

**What problems is Motive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Motive for fleet dash cameras to protect drivers from false claims and track mileage and engine hours. The reports help reduce idling and save fuel. The intuitive dashboard, easy setup, AI cameras, and great customer service enhance our operations.

**What do you like best about Motive?**

I really like how easy Motive is to use, especially when it comes to looking up assets, vehicles, and drivers individually. I also find it valuable to be able to see where a vehicle or driver was at a specific time and use dashcam footage to verify if it is the correct driver in the correct vehicle. The initial setup was very easy; once the information is entered, the system does the rest. Overall, Motive does everything I could ask for.

**What do you like best about Motive?**

I like the fact I can request videos of the whole route with Motive, as it's beneficial when we suspect a driver is not staying on route. It's nice because if there's a safety event, we can investigate and see what really happened. It allows me to verify and ensure that drivers are following the requested route.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

Motive is very laggy and has slow servers. It's also hard to navigate. When updating logs or doing searches, the screens take forever to load, and searching back more than 4-6 months is hard.

I use Motive for tracking driver safety events, ensuring correct logs without paper, and verifying routes and safety events with camera footage.

I like Motive's ability to track our drivers' productivity, their safety, their driving, and also their hours of service. The ability to coach and correct any actions that need to be corrected is also valuable. I would rate it a 10 out of 10, as it's pretty easy and simple to use.

I guess the unidentified drivers sometimes with the AI component doesn't always act right. Sometimes the AI doesn't pick up the actual driver for any unidentified drivers when we're trying to assign it.

I use Motive to track our vehicles and manage our drivers. I like its ability to track drivers' productivity, safety, and hours, plus coaching them to correct actions.

**What do you like best about Motive?**

I like how user-friendly the Motive platform is. I also value the GPS of the vehicles I use to check the location of the fleets of my three companies. It helps me know the real-time location, give an estimated arrival time to my clients, and check my drivers and merchandise through cameras.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

I would like the installation service to improve, as well as the mobile application. I switched from Samsara to Motive just for the service promised by Motive, the installation was supposed to be completed in December, it's February 16th and they still haven't finished installing, I'm struggling a lot with the service.

I use Motive to know the real-time location of my fleets, provide estimated arrival times to my clients, and monitor my drivers and merchandise through cameras.

GoMotive is easy to use. The system is very user-friendly, and even drivers can learn it quickly. Everything is clearly laid out, and once it’s set up, it works smoothly without constant issues.  The ELD and tracking features work well, and the system feels reliable on a day-to-day basis. It helps keep logs organized and makes compliance much easier.

Honestly, there isn’t much to dislike. Sometimes setup can take a little time in the beginning, but once everything is set up, it works smoothly without issues

I use Motive for ELDs, cameras, and fuel cards. Motive has saved us money on the fuel side and helped with accidents that weren't our fault. I find it easy to use, and I appreciate the savings and safety features. The setup was very easy, everything was sent and it was easy to install. I particularly value the safety and fuel card features.

The cameras have been an issue; we've had multiple cameras go down and had to replace more in a year than we should have to.

I really like the accuracy that Motive provides for truck locations. This helps my techs verify repairs and ensure the vehicle is still on the lot when it's time for maintenance. Additionally, Motive offers better tracking and camera software for my company compared to the previous product. The initial setup process for Motive was easy, which I appreciated.

The mileage is wrong a lot of times when you first look up a truck. Also, it could be easier to use the maintenance tab.

Omnicams are tough regarding connectivity, we are constantly having to perform manual resets and it frustrates a very diverse operation. Despite great customer service, the IT help desk teams seem to read from a script and operating according to specific needs is a challenge

We are integrating telematics for the first time in our organization., Motive helps us to understand what to focus on and gain the ROI particularly on losses. I get all of the data I need at my fingertips to help me make better decisions in the safety realm

Ease of use, very user friendly from the dashboard to the driver app.  Problems are solved quickly with technical support and they see problems through to make sure the problem is solved.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

Maybe the fact that if the camera becomes disconnected in a crash, there is no sim card to get video.  The camera has to be sent off to recover the video.

Nothing - There service would not ever work correctly and I have been told I can return for full refund but 3 months later I still have equipment, no refund, and never can get a response other than we are working on it.

They call in support was awful. They were never able to help or answer my questions. I could not even get they system to work!

I use Motive for HOS tracking and I like that it provides real GPS time for all of our assets. This feature helps us provide more accurate ETA or locations whenever we have breakdowns. It also helps keep asset tracking efficient and automates our workflows by providing reports. Additionally, I found the initial setup to be great.

Response time whenever we present an issue to our agent.

I find Motive easy to use and it's a breeze to train drivers on it. Tracking IFTA is made simple too. The setup was straightforward, so much so that one of our drivers managed to complete the installation across all 30 of our units. This ease of use and setup has been a great advantage for us.

I dislike the connectivity issues with Motive, specifically the problem with the unit disconnecting while the driver is driving.

I like using Motive for its ease of use, both in setting up for drivers and for navigating in the office. It's helpful to have one system for fuel, ELD, camera, and document upload instead of juggling four different ones. I find the reporting feature particularly helpful and easy to use.

The mapping for current routes isn't great, and I would like to be able to track current trips in real-time instead of only after they are completed.

Its easy to dismiss video in the system that are incorrect and the user can adjust the speed limit in an area.

The system has too many false-positive events. It also disconnects when the driver walks away from the vehicle, and overall it isn’t very user-friendly.

The customer service is horrible. It takes forever to get any assistance, and when they finally reach out, they still aren’t able to help.

I love how yo can customize the inspection reports and how you can send drivers their videos to review. The interface works well for drivers who may not be great when it comes to their phones.

Getting answers without having to contact a human being can be a bit frustrating.  When I do have to speak with a person they are not always helpful as they sometimes do not understand what I need.

It helps me track my 45 day inspections. Lets me see who are performing the  daily inspection and who isn't. It tracks drivers habits and HOS. I use the HOS feature for audits.

I like Motive's quality video, as it allows us to see finer details of any event, which helps us achieve positive resolutions with our drivers. I also appreciate the responsive AI that provides a sense of accuracy in the reality of events. Moreover, I find the depth of information valuable because it offers many avenues to explore and investigate both individual events and the fleet as a whole. Additionally, setting up Motive was easy.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

The driver info associated with each piece of equipment only gets updated once at creation, and updates on demand are needed. I wish I could run commands to update equipment and driver info more freely.

I use Motive to track specialized events for safety compliance. The quality video helps with event resolution, responsive AI ensures event accuracy, and detailed information allows deep investigation into events.

Great product!  I piloted the AI dash cameras.  My results superseded the 84% reduction in unsafe driving habits that Chris Dunker pitched.  My company actually reduced by 94%.  Unfortunately, my Chairman has passed on the AI dash cameras this year.  We did move forward with the telematics and will re-pitch again next year.

How fast they are able to put things on the road map and get them into action.  Great customer service as well.

We are currently transitioning from Transflo to Motive as a telematic solution.

**What do you like best about Motive?**

I like the simple user interface of Motive, which helps me manage and track my fleet efficiently as a dispatcher for a recycling and environmental services company. It also facilitates communication of important information pertaining to the runs scheduled for drivers.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

Motive could be more customizable and modular, which would help tailor the application to our company's needs. The website is very laggy and sometimes doesn't display the entire group. Autoscroll on Motive works terribly. I haven't seen any sign of AI being used or helpful. The API and MCP for Motive aren't fully developed yet, making it hard to integrate with Agentic AI. I'd like to use Motive with Claude CoWork, but the integration doesn't seem possible yet.

I like that I can route a driver and it will show me the estimated time until each stop. This helps me time deliveries better and have a better idea of when my driver will be back to take the next delivery.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

I find the AI feature problematic because it doesn't always recognize drivers and can't tell the difference between making a free right turn and running a stop sign.

I use Motive to track drivers and route deliveries, which solves my routing problems. It shows me estimated times until each stop, helping me time deliveries better and manage my driver's schedule more efficiently.
