**What do you like best about Moss | Spend smarter?**

I use Moss as an employee in our company for expenses, reimbursements, and receipt management, and I am really pleasantly surprised.

What I particularly like is that I can quickly upload receipts and no longer have to deal with unnecessary paperwork or lengthy email approvals. This makes everything run much more structured and transparent.

A big advantage for me is the ease of use: approvals and reimbursements often go through faster than before. I also have a better overview of company cards and expense summaries and feel significantly less stress with billing.

Overall, I like that the tool saves me time in my workday and makes processes simpler that were previously rather tedious.

**What do you dislike about Moss | Spend smarter?**

Of course, there is a small disadvantage: At the beginning, the adjustment took some getting used to. However, this is probably quite normal with new software.

**What problems is Moss | Spend smarter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A central problem in my workday for a long time was the confusing and time-consuming handling of expenses, receipts, and approvals. Due to manual processes, follow-up questions, and lack of transparency, a lot of time was lost in the past. Often, I didn't have a quick overview of which costs had already been incurred or whether certain expenses had already been approved.

With Moss, this has noticeably improved. I can record expenses directly digitally, upload receipts immediately, and view the current status of my costs at any time. This relieves me of a lot of organizational effort because I have to follow up less often and no longer have to painstakingly gather documents.

In everyday life, this means more clarity for me, less stress with billing, and overall a significantly more efficient handling of business expenses.

**What do you like best about Moss | Spend smarter?**

Beyond being able to upload receipts instantly, which has already saved us a huge amount of time and hassle, the ability to easily categorise expenses and see spending in real time has made a big difference for us. It gives us a much clearer picture of where money is going across projects and teams, without needing to rely on spreadsheets or manual tracking.

Having that visibility day to day has really helped with decision making, and it also makes it much easier to stay on top of budgets and plan ahead with more confidence.

**What do you dislike about Moss | Spend smarter?**

Some of the auto fill features can feel a bit clunky at times, and it can be frustrating when errors come up in certain fields that you cannot fix without the right permissions. The lack of flexibility when you need to make changes can occasionally slow things down and create small bottlenecks in what is otherwise a smooth process.

**Recommendations to others considering Moss | Spend smarter:**

Its a great piece of software that has already improved with updates since we started using a while back - Its now ubiqutous in our company and allows us to focus on the work at hand. It also means we no longer require a full time accountant to manage spending and chase for receipts with a huge saving.

**What problems is Moss | Spend smarter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the most valuable features for us has been being able to log receipts straight away when a purchase is made. It completely removes the usual build up of admin at the end of the month. Instead of chasing paper receipts, following up with colleagues, or digging through emails and bank statements, everything is captured as you go.

That means far less gets missed, and month end becomes much quicker and easier to manage. It is a simple change in how you work, but it makes a noticeable difference in efficiency, accuracy, and overall peace of mind. Im pretty sure this extends across the entire team.

Moss is extremely intuitive and well-structured. Booking business trips and paying with the company credit card works seamlessly, and submitting personal expenses is quick and easy. The automatic receipt recognition works reliably and saves a lot of time. I also really appreciate the smooth integration between the web app and the iPhone app, as well as the ability to add the Moss card to Apple Wallet.

One small drawback is that mistakenly created reimbursements cannot be deleted — even if they haven’t been saved yet. It would be helpful to have an option to edit or remove them before finalizing.

Moss has significantly reduced the manual effort required to manage travel expenses and reimbursements. This not only saves time but also reduces errors and makes expense tracking far more transparent. The smooth process from booking to reimbursement gives me more time to focus on actual work instead of administrative tasks.

I like how Moss | Spend smarter automatically takes information from uploaded files without needing further input, populating all the right fields quickly and easily. It's so fast and efficient; I just upload, check, and submit, saving me 10-15 minutes per receipt. I also find managing company and personal cards with Moss easy, and the initial setup was very straightforward with Okta SSO login. Furthermore, unlike Pleo, which required more manual input and email follow-ups, Moss handles everything for us in one place.

It's not always easy to find the right area in my dashboard on what tasks need actioning. Sometimes it's obvious, sometimes I have to purposely log into Moss and check for something I know is recurring and probably needs my attention.

I really appreciate Moss | Spend smarter because it saves a lot of admin work and is very easy to use. The quick expense report feature is fantastic, and I've never had a payment issue. The interface is clear and intuitive, making it easy to upload receipts and enter information quickly. I like that it classifies expenses according to a system predefined by accounting. I find the availability of Apple Pay, a physical card, and easy online payment through the Moss app very useful. Plus, I can reveal credit card details in the app and even do my expense reports while traveling on my phone. The initial setup was very easy and overall, I very much like using Moss | Spend smarter.

**What do you like best about Moss | Spend smarter?**

I find Moss | Spend smarter to be an all-in-one expense management platform that's really useful for issuing corporate credit cards, processing supplier invoices, and handling employee reimbursements. The ability to track receipts, automatically block cards if receipts aren't submitted, and easily attach receipts to expenses is fantastic. I appreciate how the AI and OCR technology is very strong, automatically recognizing similar suppliers and default cost centers, GL codes, and VAT rates. I like the integration with Airwallex for paying supplier invoices and the scheduling feature for invoice payments. The integration features are strong, too, like with Charlie HR for quick employee onboarding/offboarding, and the two-way integration with Xero works really well. It's great that the platform is very receptive to feedback and is continuously looking for ways to improve. This makes life much easier for a finance team, speeding up bookkeeping and establishing important control measures through approval flows and receipt captures. I also like the prepayments feature that automatically pushes journals into Xero and the ability to lock periods which prevents pushing historical invoices. Setting up Moss was straightforward and it was fully integrated within a week or two. Overall, it's an easy-to-use tool that's well integrated with my financial tools.

Not much, we were one of the first users in the UK. The budget and the procurement tool aren't really fit for purpose for our type of inventory business

**What do you like best about Moss | Spend smarter?**

We keep finding more use cases for the virtual cards.
We are using them for most of our software subscriptions, as well as providing them to staff for travel costs, or for any ad hoc purchases they need to make (eg training courses, staff entertainment). The virtual cards have been a great way for us to allow staff to pay for things directly without us losing control of spend as we can control the spending limits on every card, and see the spending in real time. The system also makes it very easy to spot and chase missing receipts. It's a world away from getting a credit card statement once a month and trying to hunt down receipts.
Our staff also love the system and find it easy to use.

The reimbursements system works exactly as we hoped it would - although since we are now using the virtual cards we are using the reimbursements less and less (except for mileage claims)

Onboarding was very quick and straightforward.

Finally, the cashback on the card spend is a great bonus and offsets quite a chunk of the Moss fees.

**What do you dislike about Moss | Spend smarter?**

Not much to dislike, feedback from all the users in the business has been overwhelmingly positive. 
The AI support bot is impressive some of the time, and generally it's not too hard to get through to a human via email support if you really need it, although once the AI bot decided to close down my case without telling me.
A couple of users have reported issues with their cards not working but these have been temporary and got resolved.
The Xero integration is pretty good, but there are always a few transactions that don't go across automatically and it's hard to understand why.

We use Moss to manage employee expense reimbursements. We use the spending cards for employees to pay for their own travel, ad hoc costs, and pay for software subscriptions.

I like the easy-to-use interface and the very helpful support team, including the chat bot. The receipt reconciliation works incredibly well. I appreciate the ability to schedule payments, which helps manage cash flow. The invoice reader is reliable, and the card payment is secure. The initial setup was very simple.

**What do you dislike about Moss | Spend smarter?**

It rarely detects the VAT rate from receipts/invoices. I cannot see historic card activity when a card is transferred. I cannot restrict merchant use for Merchant cards, which should be obvious. It would be great to be able to submit reimbursement on behalf of someone else as an admin.

I use Moss | Spend smarter for issuing and managing company cards, tracking spend, managing A/P, and automating accounting rules. It has an easy interface, helpful support, great receipt reconciliation, payment scheduling, a reliable invoice reader, and secure card payments.

It has completely replaced cash registers and cash in our facilities. The educators can very easily manage and control their expenses.

The budget module is super flexible and easy to use. This way, many more employees can now directly keep track of their expenses.

Our accountant loves the option to book and pay all invoices through Moss. This way, everything is in one system and is reliably and standardized transferred to the accounting. Each invoice only needs to be handled once.

**What do you dislike about Moss | Spend smarter?**

Our teams almost always work with dual leadership - that is, two educators jointly lead a team. Unfortunately, Moss does not understand this concept and forces us to designate one of the two as the team lead. There are work-arounds, but they could still improve on that.

**What problems is Moss | Spend smarter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Barges are cumbersome to control and maintain in accounting. They can be completely replaced with Moss.

The issuance of cards to employees used to be a 6-week process with the bank. We can now issue a card in 10 minutes.

I really like that Moss | Spend smarter has an app and is very easy to use. Uploading expenses is quick and straightforward. What makes it really valuable is having everything in one place, and I can assign receipts to specific items or trips, which allows me to create a project or trip and then add receipts to it. I can also take photos of receipts on the go, and the app will analyze and upload them. It's brilliant.

I guess sometimes if you're struggling for internet signal, it can sort of hold you up or doesn't upload properly.

It’s definitely mobile-first, which works well on a phone, but it feels a bit limiting when I’m using it on a laptop.

Our expense reporting and management flows used to be quite complex. Before Moss, we relied on Excel templates to report expenses, and employees had to pay everything out of pocket and then request reimbursement, which often meant several rounds of back-and-forth with the accounting department. Now it’s all managed through the app in just a few clicks.

What I appreciate most is how straightforward Moss is to use. Being able to snap a photo/scan receipts (e.g., fuel receipts) and handle them right away saves time and avoids paperwork piling up. The overall workflow feels quick and uncomplicated.

**What do you dislike about Moss | Spend smarter?**

A small downside is what happens if a receipt gets lost. In that case, it seems difficult to close out the transaction with an explanation or alternative proof without attaching the original receipt, which can create extra follow-up and admin effort.

Moss makes it much easier to manage and track invoices and expenses in one place—whether that’s fuel, business purchases, or regular expense reports. Because the system is flexible and efficient, it reduces bureaucracy and streamlines the whole process for me as a user.

So simple to use, I can pay for something and immediately add my receipts using the app in about 3 clicks and it connects up to the right accountancy codes. Massively reduces admin and means I am not having to save and try to find lost receipts!

It has made our processes much for managing company cards and capturing the receipt information so easy, that there is no excuse for them to go missing. Adding limits to each user also keeps us within budget with no nasty surprises.

Nothing, it's great! I especially like that my team can each have their own card; I use the one on my apple wallet so it is seemless with the normal ways I pay.

Super user-friendly and easy to use. I'm not the most tech-savvy person, but Moss is a really convenient and easy to use system, and having the app means it's also incredibly user-friendly and easy to use 'on the go'. Tech support is also very responsive.

**What do you dislike about Moss | Spend smarter?**

When I've used the issue response before logging an issue, whilst someone did call me  from technical support and assist with my query, it was not an instant response and it would therefore be helpful to have an immediate live response to an issue from the support team. However, it could be that this already exists and it was user error on my part.

**What problems is Moss | Spend smarter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's far more convenient for me to log my expenses on the go on an app than with previous expense systems I've used at other firms. When I'm busy and 'out and about' the ease with which I can simply upload a receipt and log an expense is incredibly helpful for me.

I find the easy handling with Moss great, that all fuel receipts can be directly scanned/photographed and you have the matter dealt with immediately.

**What do you dislike about Moss | Spend smarter?**

As a minor drawback of Moss, I see that if you lose a fuel receipt, the open receipt will not be closed through appropriate argumentation and another proof without actually inserting the receipt. You then have to deal with the administration.

**What problems is Moss | Spend smarter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem where Moss really helps us a lot is the easy management of all invoices, whether it's fuel receipts, company purchases, or expense reports. The software is very intuitive, flexible, and super fast and unbureaucratic. For me as a user, it simplifies a lot of things.

The platform is very user-friendly. Budgets and card limits can be managed flexibly, which saves us a lot of time. Especially the real-time transparency provides security and overview. The integration was very easy to implement and the customer support has always been very helpful so far. Moss is used by us daily.

The reporting functions could be a bit more comprehensive. Occasionally, there are minor delays in synchronization with accounting, but they are quickly resolved.

Before Moss, managing company expenses was very labor-intensive: budgets had to be manually checked, receipts collected, and payments assigned retroactively. Budgets and card limits can now be managed directly in the system, payments are visible in real-time, and receipts are automatically recorded. This not only saves us a lot of time in the finance department but also provides a transparent overview of all expenses at any time.

I love the ease of adding a receipt to an expense in the Moss | Spend smarter app. It has solved my problem of losing paper copies of receipts, as now I can take a photo of the receipt immediately and attach it to the relevant expense record. The immediacy of transactions appearing is another feature that I find valuable, as the transactions show up in the app right after the payment, allowing me to attach receipts quickly and complete the expense process efficiently. This level of efficiency was missing with other programs, where transaction appearances were delayed. The initial setup was incredibly straightforward and quick. I was set up within minutes and could use the service, given how easy it was to activate my PIN. It’s a great tool overall, and I am pleased with its performance in managing my expenses.

How easy it is to use, providing a good user-friendly experience and interface so that users cross age ages can manipulate and track expenses. Easy to integrate the centralized system in a company for the implementation of expenses and receipts, so that it is monitored daily automatically between the administrator and all of the users to track business expenses.

**What do you dislike about Moss | Spend smarter?**

Sometimes it crashes, and the support is not direct. One needs to wait a bit, like 1 to 2 hours. Especially if it is a third-party involvement, then nothing to do except to wait. But in general, the support system isn't bad, and in case of an emergency, there is always the ability to block your virtual card yourself.

- Through the UI structure, I can immediately understand what a position belongs to and whether, for example, I need to upload a receipt.
- If there are any questions about an invoice, the finance department can directly get in touch. I often add a comment if, for example, the invoice is not yet available or if I want to add a note for myself.
- The application is easily accessible both on mobile and on the computer.
- It is very practical that all relevant information is automatically read and entered from the receipt. This eliminates unnecessary typing or copying.

We previously only had personal credit cards, where limits were quickly reached and were cumbersome to increase, especially if it was only meant to be temporary. Now with Moss, we have divided for the different departments/categories: e.g., advertising budget, material purchasing, software, beverages, work clothing, household goods, etc., as well as, of course, personal travel expense cards. For recurring bookings, the accounts and cost centers for the tax advisor are already stored accordingly. Through the individual cards, which are available both virtually (immediately usable) and as physical cards, one has a significantly better overview of the costs. The limits can be set monthly as well as annually. For example, when you pay at the supermarket, a push notification immediately appears on your phone, and you photograph the receipt. This no longer needs to be passed on to the tax advisor in paper form.

**What do you like best about Moss | Spend smarter?**

The ability to issue virtual and physical cards instantly, set individual spending limits, and track all transactions in real time has streamlined our processes significantly. Moss has reduced friction between departments and helped us enforce policy without micromanagement. The DATEV integration is also a major plus for our accounting setup in Germany.

**What do you dislike about Moss | Spend smarter?**

While Moss covers most of our needs very well, we’ve found that some features—like approval workflow customization and reporting filters—could offer more flexibility for complex organizational structures.

**What problems is Moss | Spend smarter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Moss has helped us solve several challenges around decentralized spending, manual expense tracking, and lack of real-time budget visibility.

Before using Moss, managing company cards and collecting receipts was a time-consuming process. Now, with automated tracking, real-time spend overviews, and easy card issuance, we’ve significantly reduced administrative workload and improved compliance across teams.

It also allows our department heads to manage their budgets more proactively, which supports more responsible and informed spending company-wide.
