The lockdown feature is essential for version control. It quickly populates dynamic charts that makes it easy to present to stakeholders Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Institutional investors have difficulty getting internal IT approvals to gain access to the software. The reporting packages could be easier to extract into excel to be shared with them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Mosaic supports fluid and interactive modeling. It can be as simple as you want it or can expand to complex modeling. It is not just a tool for Finance. It can support operations.
The integrations are exceptional and timely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't have any downsides. It is a tool that requires some understanding of your internal master data. This can be a good thing if your finance department needs to know their data better as it relates to the business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The fact that it consolidates some of the most important and useful data sources used by entrprises. Very user friendly intarface that allows easy calculations and metric visualization. Support tends to be very helpful and fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Most of its features are still not 100% where they should be, normally our reports/models tend to miss some kind of feature that would make it complete, such as reporting formats or the lack of depth in the modelling session, which makes modelling very superficial. Mosaic is the "mission control" for my company, pulling together critical data from our CRM, HRIS, ERP, and billing systems for a holistic view. We also use Mosaic's forecasting & scenario modeling features to develop budgets for the business. It's hard to imagine going through annual planning without Mosaic. As Mosaic releases new capabilities, I have to set them up myself. This can be time consuming, and I don't have bandwidth to utilize the system to its full potential. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Saves time when it comes to annual budgeting, vendor spend analysis, month end close review, building new financial modeling scenarios, reviewing historical trends, etc.
- New product updates are frequent and generally address the most important improvements
- Customer support is prompt
- Provides insights that we have not historically tracked on a regular basis because of how manual the process can be (particularly sales metrics) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Can be glitchy at times which sometimes reduces the speed at which I can conduct a quick analysis
- In certain respects it's not yet as flexible / dynamic as a tool like excel which makes it difficult for a company like ours with a complex revenue model
- It does not have a huge list of integrations, so our HRIS and CRM are both still manual Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Mosaic's quickly integrated our various data sources with immediate time to value using their out of the box dasboards and reporting. Their customer success team is top tier and the onboarding process was a walk in the park. The tool has helped us get singificantly more proactive vs. reacative across all aspects of our financial health, increasing our confidence and conviction in decision making. Cons:
It's only as good as your underlying datasets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Mosaic's analytics capabilities are excellent. Being able to login and see all of your important metrics at a glance is super helpful when running a business. Custom metrics make reporting on anything very easy Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
learning how to slice the data by different data objects can be confusing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My favorite thing about Parsel is how easy it is to maintain/update once the implementation is done. The customer service/account management is so responsive and helpful. They have wonderful documentation around common questions, how-tos etc, but they also are incredibly responsive to emails and personal questions to help you at any point. They also have a large numbers of predetermined metrics and forecasting methods that make it easy to use without needing to create everything from scratch, while also allowing ease of customization for your specific business. The direct connection with ERPs allow easy updating of actuals with rolling forecasts as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The implementation can be harder, or take longer, depending on your business structure and needs. Also, the fact that it is a different platform than excel can be hard to transition to/ use with as much ease as someone is used to with excel. There is also a little bit of a learning curve to become fully comfortable with the formula structures or nuances of different parts of the tool. However, there is a lot of documentation to reference in regards to this, so it's always an easy solve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the ability to build live dashboards that sync with our CRM and being able to personalize different KPIs I want to track Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike having to contact support when adding wanting to add new metrics to Mosaic from our CRM Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Mosaic is a really intuative product that is fairly easy to use once you get the hang of it. It is relatively easy to version control financial models and the reporting functionality is fairly simple to use with a good amount of out of the box reports that are available. Mosaic customer support is super responsive and eager to help with any issuer and/or questions. We have it integrated with most of our systems and those integrations run smoothly. As a daily user I am very happy with the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't find much that I really dislike but a few nice to havs would be an integration with Rippling for HRIS and the ability to modify pre existing metrics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
