Sometimes I think it can be difficult to get the full value. I am busy. Don't have time to learn a lot of bells and whistles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have been using Morningstar Advisor Workstation for over 3 years now, since Morningstar Office - the larger and more expensive software - could not meet our growing needs and had constant, recurring issues that never got resolved. The switch to Morningstar Workstation was long and tedius, as neither software connects to the other, so we had to manually relabel, import and enter every single client account. Besides the large price point for software that is frequently broken: Constant, recurring malfunctions. Reports that simply don't run and display blank error pages or pages with odd, unusable text. Reports that do run are spaced incorrectly and are unusable. This has been happening on a monthly basis since we started using the software. It has been 3 years and still it is not resolved. Benchmarks do not set or stay set when re-importing clients, for which Morningstar has no fix for, despite several service requests. When importing clients, there are frequent issues finding accounts and clients, even when searching by SSN. They issue constant updates that do not fix current issues, but introduce new ones, including unceremoniously adding more steps to workflow, such as the "advisory" and "brokerage" buttons needing to be selected every. single. time. that you run, update, or even go into an account, even after it was created as Brokerage. I do not appreciate that it takes so long to receive emails regarding issues. Issues occur for hours (sometimes days) and emails from Morningstar regarding the issues are nonexistant, or only come through after things have been fixed., there are no live updates besides messages displayed in software that you can't access.
