## MOR Associates Reviews
 ### 1. MOR Turns Learning into Action with Accountability and Coaching

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley R. | Manager of Web & Mobile Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about MOR Associates?**

The framework and accountability that the program provides encourages you to actually put what you are learning into practice. Tracking weekly progress towards goals keeps you on task between workshops, and meetings with your coach help you to consider how you can expand your goals as you achieve them. While a lot of programs teach you the theory, MOR motivates you to put that theory into practice.

There are many resources and opportunities provided within the program including post-program opportunities to keep you engaged as an alum.

**What do you dislike about MOR Associates?**

I can’t say there is much I disliked about the MOR program, and the facilitators do a great job of requesting feedback and applying it to subsequent workshops. I do wish we had more time together, but two-day workshops that alternate between in-person and virtual does make the program more accessible.

**Recommendations to others considering MOR Associates:**

You’re likely busy, and it may feel like now isn’t a good time to commit to a program like this. This was something I weighed before applying and then also heard from others. While there is certainly work involved if you want to get the most out of it, I found that the program does a fantastic job of integrating into your daily and weekly work. The tools and concepts provided in the program may be exactly what you need to more efficiently approach your busy schedule and responsibilities.

With that said, do commit to the work. Prioritize it, and it will transform the way you approach both your job and personal life.

**What problems is MOR Associates solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A recurring theme in the program is “intentionality.” MOR compels you to take the concepts and tools provided in the program and intentionally apply them. As an example, I was previously aware of the benefits of project post-mortems / retrospectives, but this was not something I had intentionally done with my team. Reflecting is now a practice that is scheduled on my calendar on Fridays (along with planning on Mondays). It is also something I do with my team weekly, quarterly to track progress on goals, and after projects. Being intentional about reflecting on work has helped to learn from it. Learning happens when you take the time to reflect on the work you did and the plans you made.

 ### 2. Leadership Development and Team Building!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom D. | Vice President for Technology and Chief Information Officer (CIO) , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about MOR Associates?**

What I appreciate most about MOR Associates is their ability to meet leaders where they are. Their programs don't feel like generic leadership training, they feel personal. The facilitators take the time to understand the unique pressures facing higher education IT, and the cohort model means you're learning alongside peers who truly get it. The relationships built in those rooms often last well beyond the program itself, creating a network of trusted colleagues across the industry that you can lean on for years to come.

**What do you dislike about MOR Associates?**

Nothing, this is a top-notch organization.

**Recommendations to others considering MOR Associates:**

MOR Associates has been a cornerstone of leadership development in higher education IT for decades. MOR puts leaders through the intensive, cohort-based IT Leaders Program. It is an investment in time and money but well worth it.

**What problems is MOR Associates solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MOR Associates has long been a trusted partner in developing exceptional IT leaders across higher education. Through their specialized leadership programs, MOR works directly with CIOs, directors, and emerging IT professionals at colleges and universities, helping them sharpen the strategic, interpersonal, and organizational skills needed to lead in today's complex academic environments.

Their programs go beyond technical competency, focusing on self-awareness, communication, team dynamics, and change management, the human side of leadership that drives lasting institutional impact. Participants leave with practical frameworks they can apply immediately, whether they're navigating a major technology transformation, building high-performing teams, or aligning IT strategy with institutional mission.

For organizations, the benefits are tangible: stronger leadership pipelines, improved team cohesion, reduced turnover, and IT divisions that are better equipped to serve their campus communities. When IT leaders grow, their institutions grow with them.

 ### 3. Immersive, Real-World Leadership Development With Lasting Impact

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rajiv S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2026

**What do you like best about MOR Associates?**

What is unique about MOR Associates leadership development is the focus on learning through multiple collaborative workshops and the application of learning to real-life challenges. Rather than conventional in-class teaching, the focus is on immersive learning with cohorts across similar organizations. Learning occurs not only in workshops that build on previous ones, but also by engaging on real work opportunities with colleagues from my own firm and other firms. The instructors are accomplished practitioners with proven track records who credibly bring real-world perspectives to the learning experience.

**What do you dislike about MOR Associates?**

There is nothing that I dislike about working with MOR Associates.

**Recommendations to others considering MOR Associates:**

Recognize that you are making a genuine commitment of time and effort; many MOR Associates leadership engagements last many months with multiple workshops, engagement with a leadership coach, and a bidirectional commitment to learning and growth. The more you put in to the engagement, the more you get back.

**What problems is MOR Associates solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My MOR learnings reinforced concepts and practices that significantly expanded and enhanced my leadership capabilities. They provided a toolkit of practical leadership skills that I have successfully added to my leadership capabilities and contextually apply to my everyday work. My leadership coach worked closely with me and continually challenged me throughout this journey to expand my leadership goals and abilities.

Just as importantly, I have formed strong, sustained relationships with a community of leaders who speak and practice the same leadership vocabulary. MOR helps with continual learning through engagement with an active and thriving alumni network.

 ### 4. You will be enriched by this leadership program - promise!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jay C. | Associate Director, Administrative Applications, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about MOR Associates?**

The frameworks and tools they teach are obviously helpful, and the coaches are truly dedicated and care about your growth. However, for me the biggest differentiator with this program and what has been the biggest impact on me, has been the journey with my cohort, and meeting the MOR alumni including the influential leaders from each institution who were once alumni themselves. Hearing about everyone's journeys of their ups and downs, being able to learn from each other, inspire each other, and support each other - all this has pushed me to get out of my comfort zone, broaden my perspectives, and motivated me to be a better leader, and the best leader possible that my team and institution needs.

**What do you dislike about MOR Associates?**

Not a dislike, but a warning to those looking at leadership programs, MOR is an intense program. It requires a lot of time commitment, emotional expenditure and energy (physical and mental). However, it is worth it. You get out what you put in. If you are willing to invest the time and effort, and be open to learning and being better, and building relationships with other people, I assure you that when you are finished with the program, you will walk away feeling that sad that it's over and that you gained a ton from the experience, both professionally and personally.

**What problems is MOR Associates solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping me to think more strategically and be more intentional about the way we want to operate, our organizational/team culture to be, and more importantly, the direction we want head in terms of meeting long term strategic, operational and cultural goals.

 ### 5. A leadership experience that continues beyond the program

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edwin H. | Division Senior Executive , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about MOR Associates?**

What stands out most to me is that the experience does not end when the program does.

I have built an ongoing relationship with my executive coach, and that has been one of the most valuable aspects. I know I can reach out when I am dealing with a real leadership situation and get thoughtful and honest perspective. That level of accessibility and continuity has made a meaningful difference for me.

The peer network is also incredibly strong. The connections you build are real, and the conversations and perspectives from others continue to shape how I think and lead.

I have recommended the program to several colleagues and have already sent 3 to 5 people through MOR. I plan to continue doing that each year, which reflects the level of confidence I have in the experience and the impact it can have on leaders.

**What do you dislike about MOR Associates?**

It does require a real investment of time and energy. You have to be willing to step back from day to day work and engage honestly in the process. With a demanding role, that can be challenging at times, but it is also what makes the experience impactful.

**Recommendations to others considering MOR Associates:**

If you are considering MOR, my recommendation is to go in with the intention to fully engage. The value of the program comes from being open, reflective, and willing to challenge how you currently lead.

Be prepared to invest the time and energy, because the experience is not passive. It requires real participation, but that is what makes it impactful.

Also, take advantage of the relationships. The connection with your coach and the peer network is just as valuable as the formal sessions, and those relationships can continue well beyond the program.

**What problems is MOR Associates solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MOR helped me make the shift from focusing primarily on execution to becoming more intentional and effective as a leader. In my role, where I’m constantly navigating between technology, business, and innovation, that shift has been critical.

The program created space for real reflection on how I communicate, how I lead, and how I make decisions. It was not just theoretical. It gave me practical ways to approach leadership challenges with more clarity and purpose.

 ### 6. Practical Leadership Frameworks and a Collaborative Community

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Timothy B. | Executive Director, Learning Spaces, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about MOR Associates?**

The leadership program does an excellent job covering the full spectrum of what it takes to be an effective and successful leader. Rather than trying to “fix” individuals, it builds on existing strengths and expands them in meaningful ways. It has helped solidify key areas of my leadership by providing frameworks that are both practical and easy to apply.

The collaborative environment, built around like-minded professionals, fosters strong and lasting relationships. These connections will continue to be a valuable resource as we each navigate our leadership journeys. This program came at an ideal time in my career, and I cannot imagine stepping into a senior leadership role without this experience.

**What do you dislike about MOR Associates?**

I do not have any significant criticisms of the program. It does require a meaningful time commitment, but that expectation is clearly communicated upfront and aligns well with the value received.

**What problems is MOR Associates solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MOR Associates addresses the challenge many organizations face in developing leaders who are not only technically strong but also intentional, effective, and adaptable in their leadership approach. The program provides a structured framework that helps individuals grow into confident and capable leaders while building on their existing strengths.

 ### 7. Accelerating the Shift from Tactical Execution to Strategic Leadership

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew M. | Manager, Research Technology Platforms, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2026

**What do you like best about MOR Associates?**

The strongest aspect is the combination of practical frameworks and deep self-reflection. MOR creates an environment that encourages honest assessment of leadership habits while providing actionable tools to improve them. The peer group is also a major strength, offering diverse perspectives and lasting connections that extend beyond the program. The experience is both immediately applicable and enduring in its impact.

**What do you dislike about MOR Associates?**

The primary challenge is the time and mental commitment required to fully benefit from the program. It asks participants to step away from daily responsibilities and engage deeply, which can be difficult in demanding roles. However, this is also what makes the program effective, so the “downside” is closely tied to its value.

**Recommendations to others considering MOR Associates:**

Approach the program with intention and be prepared to fully engage. The more open and reflective you are, the more value you will get. It is especially impactful for leaders who are ready to move beyond execution and develop a more strategic, self-aware leadership approach. If you are willing to invest the time and effort, the return is significant and long-lasting.

**What problems is MOR Associates solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MOR Associates is helping address the challenge of moving from a highly tactical, execution-focused role to a more strategic leadership position. The program provides frameworks, structure, and space to step back from day-to-day operations and think more intentionally about leadership, communication, and organizational impact. As a result, I’ve gained clearer mental models for decision-making, improved how I engage with stakeholders, and increased my focus on higher-level priorities rather than just immediate tasks.

 ### 8. An Unmatched Leadership Experience with MOR

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JC S. | Service Desk Team Lead

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about MOR Associates?**

The experience they facilitate is unlike any other leadership program I’ve been through. Sure, I’ve read some of the same material before, but I’ve never worked through it in the way MOR does. The relationships and bonds you build through this program are also unlike anything I’ve found in other programs.

**What do you dislike about MOR Associates?**

I do wish the program were longer and that all schools in the program could host. That said, it was an amazing experience overall!

**What problems is MOR Associates solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping transform Leaders. Becoming a better leader benefits not only me, but also my team and the organization. It helps me show up as a more well-rounded leader in the work I do every day.

 ### 9. Transformative Leadership Training with Powerful Coaching and Cohort Connections

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2026

**What do you like best about MOR Associates?**

MOR Associates combines training in leadership frameworks, highly effective coaching, and a tools-based learning approach within a dedicated cohort that builds upon attendees' strengths and expands them in meaningful ways. One of the best things about MOR is the relationships formed between fellow cohort members, who share a common vocabulary that extends well beyond the program, providing ongoing value and fostering professional connections throughout one's career.

**What do you dislike about MOR Associates?**

There is not much to dislike about the programs that MOR Associates provides. Participants should be prepared to invest both significant time and effort in an active learning experience. This level of investment is required to get the most impact from the program.

**What problems is MOR Associates solving and how is that benefiting you?**

 ### 10. Working with MOR is an "Gift."

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** nina marie b. | Architecture Class, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2026

**What do you like best about MOR Associates?**

MOR provides amazing tools, resources, and community. Feedback is a gift.

**What do you dislike about MOR Associates?**

I don't have anything that I dislike about MOR.

**What problems is MOR Associates solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working with Brian from MOR during the Kinber MOR Leaders Program was coaching and accountability to help shift my methods to help the organization to flow better. As a non-profit founder and entrepreneur, I have built deep habits of "do-ing" much of the day-to-day versus "managing" and "leading" the stratagy. It is a challenge when there isn't someone to delegate the work to.

 ### 11. MOR has been key to my successful transition into higher education

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fallon N. | Senior Director, Enterprise Portfolio Management

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2026

**What do you like best about MOR Associates?**

The way they facilitate our learning workshops to create connections between the participants (we are from different schools), as well as the 1-on-1 coaching.

**What do you dislike about MOR Associates?**

Nothing to add here - they are always asking for feedback and I see quick action from that feedback.

**What problems is MOR Associates solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How to lead within the higher education context. Includes deep dive learning on skills like relationship building, negotiation, and emotional intelligence. This has been absolutely key to my successful transition into the higher education industry and the results I'm expected to deliver.

 ### 12. Cohort-Driven Collaboration That Helps You Connect and Grow

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about MOR Associates?**

The collaborative cohort-driven approach. They facilitate connections and bring lessons to each session, but it is their unique way of giving participants the space to connect and grow with each other that really levels up the content.

**What do you dislike about MOR Associates?**

Very little. I wish I had more time with them!

**What problems is MOR Associates solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The MOR program was a transformational experience in my leadership journey. Their approach and content have unlocked leadership skills and perspectives that I use daily. Their workshops and coaches bring concentrated insight and experience unlike any leadership development program I've ever seen.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cassandra A. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2025

**What do you like best about MOR Associates?**

The different views on how to look at things and the advice from all of the other co-hort members helped me see how to improve things within the work place to help myself become more successful in not only my everyday work life but also my home life. The things you learn at MOR go behind the office and that was my favorite part. Plus the networking and friendships I have made have been invaluable.

**What do you dislike about MOR Associates?**

I don't think there was anything that I could say about MOR that I didn't find useful. I will say it is a commitment and very time consuming but anything worthwhile is. I was very lucky to be allowed to be a part of this.

**Recommendations to others considering MOR Associates:**

My only suggestion is to ask questions! Everyone with MOR is very happy to answer and help support you in any way. And ask previous co-hort members as well. Everyone takes away something different.

**What problems is MOR Associates solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had never worked in higher education before or had a white collar job and MOR helped me to feel more comfortable in that type of environment. They gave me incite into a world I have never had to navigate before and to me that is priceless.

 ### 16. Best Leadership Training - EVER

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2025

**What do you like best about MOR Associates?**

The structure of the program. Each session builds on the previous. The instructors are amazing and so knowledgeable in this area. They know how to challenge each student to find new ways to grow and stretch their comfort zone. You learn a lot of great skills almost to many to mention. Also once you are a part of MOR you are always a part of it. They put on how long hosted webinars multiple times a year that any alumni can attend.

**What do you dislike about MOR Associates?**

This is not so much a dislike, but more of it is not easy. When you get together for a class which can be a day or two at a time. They are emotionally draining. Not in a bad way but in a good way. They really get you to thinking about a lot of things and practicing those items.

**Recommendations to others considering MOR Associates:**

Do it. It is well worth the time investment and the money. Your ROI will far exceed your investment. Your organization will continue to get better and better the more leaders that go through the program. Where I am at you apply to get into the program. So making sure the people who take it want to take it. Those are the people that will see the most ROI on their time.

**What problems is MOR Associates solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MOR is about helping IT Leaders take their skills to the next level. One of the key tenants of the program is relationships are currency. IT can no longer just depend on technology to give us monetary savings or process improvements. We have to start looking to other areas and one of the most overlooked areas is "people". MOR has helped our IT group to evolve from a transactional system to a culture of a Relationship Centered Organization. There have been cost savings that have come from this, improved time to delivery, and increased awareness and understanding
