Moosend Pros and Cons

Moosend has many features for their newsletters that other companies don't have. The wealth of templates and setups is staggering. It was easy to transfer my current newsletter subscriber list to Moosend. Their customer support is very responsive. They provide lots of feedback about clicks, deliverability, opens, etc. Their plugin for Wordpress to put a newsletter sign up landing page on my website was easy to install, activate, and use. They are missing a couple of basic things that I hope we'll see in the future. One thing that slows down my workflow is the lack of an album or folder for my uploaded images that I can see and edit at anytime. Currently, images can only be accessed if I'm in the process of creating a newsletter. It would be helpful to be able to pre-upload my images and delete old, unneeded ones before starting the newsletter building process. While their real-time live chat support is fantastic, I find the email support to not be as helpful. Its pricing and features are competitive to Mailchimp, despite costing multiple times less per mailing list. It is easy to use and has very intuitive UI. Moosend is a great service, but it does lack variety and customizability for the premade themes for things such as landing pages and website pop-ups. While I overall heavily recommend them for their pricing strategy and email designer, those additional features definitely need an update to stay competitive. Very generous free trial period (30 days), with no branding on emails. Affordable rates even if you're just experimenting. No limit on landing pages and sign-up forms. The email editor can be a little difficult to use, when entering numeric values or changing font styles. If you've created your own template and are applying it to an email, it's a little difficult to make changes to the layout.

Would be good if there was a "Subscription preferences" option - right now there's only an Unsubscribe.

I'm extremely pleased with the support I received from Moosend staff. They were knowledgeable, professional and definitely went the extra mile to help me. I recommend them without reservation. Moosend has almost all of the same featured as its better know competitors, but is much more affordable for a small business. I've also been very impressed by their customer support. I was having a problem figuing out how to do something at 10 pm Eastern Time and submitted a ticked and was offered the option to chat in less than 10 minutes and had my question answered.
