**What do you like best about Momentus Technologies?**

I like how thorough the system is. I also enjoy how complex the system is. I like the integrations like Docusign, which make it easier to send out contracts.

**What do you dislike about Momentus Technologies?**

At the moment I dislike the AI feature MO. I often find that it is incorrect or giving the wrong information. I don't find it useful.

**What problems is Momentus Technologies solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our facility needs a financial database to house our financials and help run our events, momentus has solved that for us. We also need a way to categorize, record, and send contracts and with the docusign integration we are able to do that. The level at which momentus functions is not teachable to the general public and I think that is a good thing. You must have an understanding of accounting or events to work in this system.

**What do you like best about Momentus Technologies?**

I like how organized Momentus Technologies makes my day-to-day feel. The system is easy to use, and I love creating my 'View' pages. Since I work in multiple buildings with a plethora of rooms, it helps keep event details in order. The 'View' feature is especially helpful as it allows me to download only the most necessary information for specific duties, making it easier to manage assignments across our big team.

**What do you dislike about Momentus Technologies?**

I would like to be able to edit text and highlights. When files are uploaded, they sometimes have preexisting highlights. I would like the option to remove those highlights or change the color of them.

**What problems is Momentus Technologies solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Momentus Technologies solves last-minute event changes, improves team communication across departments, and keeps event details organized. I love how it structures my day with easy-to-use "View" pages, downloading only the necessary information for specific duties, facilitating work in multiple buildings.

**What do you like best about Momentus Technologies?**

I like that it helps us to keep everything in one place. It adds to the efficiency of our entire team. I like that it has potential to grow with us as we continue to grow.
I'm not involved with the daily opperations, however I do use Momentus several times each week.
I do enjoy the customizations available. For our events, we can add staff in or out with ease, simplifying staffing.
This allows for success with events & an improved patron experience.

**What do you dislike about Momentus Technologies?**

I would like to learn more, most of my dislike lies within my limited time to learn more. 
Some things don't feel like they're in logical places. It's very robust & I feel like I have to look in multiple places to find the info I want.
I would love if we got the info to email out to all involved parties. Or even a 1-sheet for each That being said, it's likely capable, we just aren't there yet.

Mainly that all info in is one place. All staff that work & run shows have access to the program. This allows for us to streamline operations meetings.

**What do you like best about Momentus Technologies?**

I find it to be easy to use and well organized, with plenty of documented articles at hand to find in the event i need to troubleshoot something or find a way to do something.

**What do you dislike about Momentus Technologies?**

I'd like to see a better method for tracking files and documents, specifically things like contracts, deposits, COIs, riders in a clear and simple manner; received, sent, in progress with date/timestamps included. Maybe there is a way to do this, but I have not had access privileges to go in and create or edit these. A dashboard that allowed clear tracking would be great though! I'd also like to find additional ways to export data be it JSON or SQL so I can work on automating data input, and perhaps finding ways to tie in to ticketing systems.

It serves as a great source of truth for our multiple streams of event programming.

The thing I don't like about it is that you have to switch to the specific building in order to get to the correct information

I work at Microsoft therefore i use it for events, I will get the building i want and look at the BEO, we use it every day therefore I use Momentus a lot. Its super-fast and effective way to keep track of events that are happening!

Momentus Technologies has been a strong partner for us, and the platform is genuinely user-friendly for managing our events. The system feels intuitive and reliable, and it’s clearly designed around real-world event workflows, which makes day-to-day planning and execution noticeably smoother.

One feature I value most is how simple it is to copy an event. The ability to duplicate an existing event—along with its settings, spaces, and key details—saves a significant amount of time and cuts down on repetitive data entry, especially when we’re working with recurring events or template-based setups. It’s helped our team stay consistent, reduce errors, and spend more time on the strategic side of event management rather than getting bogged down in the initial setup.

Momentus Technologies has potential but frustrated our team. Key features are locked by user permissions, creating bottlenecks. Support also took too long to fix simple issues we'd expect quicker resolution on.

It solved the ability to handle event finances, event planning with ease, and the ability to handle venue managements and meeting rooms.

I like that Momentus Technologies calculates on its own and allows different departments to put charges and needs based on the event. The event calendar feature is also really useful because it lets the personnel know what is happening, which rooms in the building are in use, and which ones are available. Additionally, the initial setup of Momentus Technologies was extremely easy.

Sometimes the billing doesn't populate the necessary fields, and I have to track them down.

I like that Momentus Technologies has very detailed information about the event, the location, the food, and what to have ready, which makes sure I am overly prepared and don't have to worry about last-minute changes unexpectedly. It helps us with having the rooms prepared and finding the locations of the events. Momentus also keeps us updated on everything happening on campus. The initial setup is very well explained, and the steps are quick and easy to use.

It is easy to use and user friendly.  Capturing all of our events in one spot is helpful for us in the planning our events. It has been easy to implement and integrate across our business and with new staff it is easy to on board them to the database.

**What do you dislike about Momentus Technologies?**

We still need to use other database software as momentus does not have all of the features we need to run an event/festival based business.  We are event producers rather than a venue so there are features that we need that are not included or designed in momentus as the produce is more targeted to venues rather than producers.

**What problems is Momentus Technologies solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of housing all of our events in one system, capturing all of our suppliers and vendors in one spot.  We are trying to use it to build our run sheets, as the event producers the system is more geared towards a venue/catering side rather than running musican/artists bug show data but we are trying to make it work for us

**What do you like best about Momentus Technologies?**

Not sure if I'm reviewing a company or their primary product (Enterprise).  I'll focus primarily on the product.  Customization is the product's signature feature.  Once you understand how the product works, you can really get creative and come up with some unique solutions.  I like how I can tailor it with views and have control over layouts to customize the data entry experience.  Our Customer Success Manager is fantastic and very responsive to our questions and challenges.

**What do you dislike about Momentus Technologies?**

Getting the product up and running is a heavy lift and a long road.  There are so many layers involved and there's no way you can understand what the product can do for you when you're at the start of that road.  I've been using the product for 20 years (10 years as the Admin) and I feel it's only been the last 6-7 years where I truly understand things.  Knowing what I know now, I would certainly do some things differently.  While the product can be easily customized for your on-screen experience, the opposite is true if you want that experience to translate to a document that is client facing.  I can create a simple Word Merge Template that looks great; however, our client facing documents rarely fall into the "simple" category.  So we commission someone to create Crystal Reports or a more complex Word Merge Template.  The results are typically pretty good; however, they do come at a price.  I've found that once they're complete and in use for a few months, we typically want change something so it's back to the drawing board.  Ultimately, I want to be able to do this myself and change them once a week if I want but it requires a skill set that I don't have and hasn't been made user friendly by Momentus.  It's gotten better but there's plenty of room for improvement.

**What problems is Momentus Technologies solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The product is taking care of our basic needs (reserving space, proposals, contracts, event management) as well as our more advanced needs (online ordering, invoicing/on-line payments, reporting).  It's allowed us to go largely paperless and have the ability to report out on all types of details required by management or ownership.  When used properly by staff, it allows us to make informed decisions based on data entered by our team.  Conventions centers are successful when we can properly layer multiple pieces of business into the facility, so the visual nature of the booking calendar is a great tool to help us fit pieces of business together.  It's nearly identical to the game Tetris.  The embedded invoicing tools help us manage our Accounts Receivable.

Different kinds of reports have to be requested or programmed in and aren't as customizable as I'd like.

They are constantly improving their software and adding features I didn't even know I needed, but once I have them I don't know how I managed before.

It’s quite smooth and comprehensive, especially for a large, mega-events-focused company.

There are a few limitations when it comes to developing Crystal Reports, especially the ability to export reports to Excel format without ending up with merged cells or additional blank rows.

I like that it is widely used across the convention center industry, which allows us to collaborate with other venues that do similar functions with it on data points & functionality.  The software also makes it very easy to copy & paste data for repeat event, which is a huge time saver with so many annual events.  The Booking calendar makes checking availability easy.

**What do you dislike about Momentus Technologies?**

Honestly the #1 thing is probably lack of training & communication about functionality. improvements.  I know the software can do more than we do with it for reporting & tracking data, but still using very labor intensive processes to pull reports & track things that involve work in excel after exporting.  I also appreciate the ability to customize things, but there seems to lack 1 normal process/ functionality for doing daily venue bookings things like contracts, prospecting & detailing events.

Understanding our space commitments & availability, storing client information, reporting, goal setting

Momentus Technologies supports calendar management (my current role) across multiple departments. The ability to apply detailed filters makes it easy to find exactly what I'm searching for—whether it's a specific team, location, or event type. The data exporting features are helpful as they save me time and ensure accuracy when sharing reports and pulling event data with my team. Also, the event detailing tools are thorough, which helps me keep everything organized and ensures that no detail gets overlooked. It’s a platform that understands the complexity of calendar administration and makes it manageable.

**What do you dislike about Momentus Technologies?**

I’d like to see more clarity around some Momentus features and more flexibility in customizing existing categories. For instance, our dashboard needs updates, and some event genres could use upgrades.

Some of the options, we have so many different ways to get to each thing, reports, etc.  its great on one hand but then overwhelming and sometimes people dont remember how they got there.  It also would be great for it not to reopen a window when we go to print, it closes then reopens.  And sometimes when Im looking at something in an account detail view, and a coworker is on their end looking at it, with same filters, it shows different things. Not sure if that is a glitch or not.

event P&Ls, it helps with knowing where we sit on financials, its gotten our financials cleaned up and organized in a much more efficient way.  Also the calendar aspect of it has been tremendously helpful!

I like that it's easy to understand and navigate, and it's much faster than the previous interface. I have found that there are always double checks that can easily aid in helping us not make any mistakes as well which is a huge plus. I use it daily and I have no complaints, so thats a very good sign things are improving. I also love the Menu being on the Left side of the screen. Top tabs are much harder to fit all the options, so this is a huge improvement.

I actually don't have anything bad to say. Its normal for anyone working on the computer to get mad at the screen, but I have found that I am not doing this, at least with Momentus.

I use the fairs and expositions program through Momentus. We were using an old in house system for years to manage our contracts and orders for exhibitors, but we outgrew the capabilities of this program. Moving to Momentus was easy, and I enjoyed being hands on during the production and implementation of our database. The floorplan add on makes creating our layout extremely easy, and I even find assigning booth space fun. The support team we have is also amazing. They are extremely helpful when we need assistance or when we need reminder son how to work a part of the system. They communicate quickly in all avenues and check in frequently with updates if we have a ticket out.

**What do you dislike about Momentus Technologies?**

Our event that we use the system for is once a year. Remembering how to set things up and copy over to repeat everything is tricky, but the support of our customer success team is there when we need it. If I was more hands on in the system, I feel like things would be a lot easier for me. I heavily rely on the learning and support centers.

Working with the implementation team to get us off the ground was a great experience.  Amber led me through the entire process and made sure I understood the program before we officially launched.  I especially loved that every time I made a suggestion on how to make the program better, she submitted it for possible future features.  She even submitting things that I said in passing.  She listened intently and really helped us work out our workflow to work for us.

All of the training were centered around how to make the program work for our venue and our workflow.  We were never pigeon-holed into doing something a certain way.  The team was also able to make me custom dashboards and reports that didn't exist, further improving our workflow.

I do wish there were a few more integration options, like Adobe Sign, and other financial options so that we can use the payment features.

The Momentus team is always available for questions and help in trouble shooting. They also have a wealth of knowledge that they are able to share with their customers. The online training materials are incredible and so thorough. Even if there are things that Momentus doesn't quite have yet, the team is eager to help us find a solution! 

The system itself is incredible; it helps my place of work become more efficient in our event planning and record keeping. The switch from our old system (built in- house)  to our new system (Momentus) was practically seamless. We use Online Space Booking, and those who request spaces through our OSB always talk about how easy it is to input requests.  I am in Momentus every single day, so I am constantly looking for new things that we can add and improve upon. We are implementing some new integrations this year, Outlook, API, etc. and I cannot be more excited! Momentus is innovative and constantly improving their system. I truly cannot recommend Momentus enough!

Honestly, I do not have any dislikes. I love Momentus more and more each day, and I cannot speak enough of their praises.

Our biggest problem before Momentus was having all our information in one place & keeping reports. We used to have to go in and manually create reports for each event, which now it automated! It takes the work off of me, because any of our users can run any of the reports we have available, and I don't have to be in constant email communication with our users, it puts the work back on them, so I am able to have more time to work on other duties.

We have been using Momentus Elite software for several years and as a new theater it has been extremely helpful in booking, and scheduling events, as well as staffing. The software lets us improve the efficiency of everything we do. I also enjoy how we can dive into historical data to better predict future events.

We often have staff making shortcuts in the detailing of a show, because of the time it takes to properly add staffing, detailing and assigning jos correctly. If there were quicker ways of filling in information easily more staff would use the software.

the biggest problem that i see is the way the gray out section in the detailing doesn't go away even after an event has been input. it not something that is huge. it more of a place holder I get it but it the biggest complaint i hear

Overall, working with Momentus Technologies has truly benefitted our business model. From financial details to company-wide access to information to working with a dedicated account manager to improve our use of the platform, this program works to streamline operations in event planning and execution.

**What do you dislike about Momentus Technologies?**

Through increased event operations with our organization, we're always hoping to leverage Momentus Elite in ways that continue to streamline our process. We find that the program can be a little finicky and encounter roadblocks with true customization. Anything we can't find a workaround for usually waits until Momentus Technologies does a semi-annual update, and they do their best to incorporate our feedback, but we often find that the same half a dozen small details get overlooked in each update.

**What problems is Momentus Technologies solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our organization needed to streamline access to information, and this does it for us! We've been using the product for almost 5 years now and it's imbedded in the culture and operations for about 50% of our company (not everyone on staff has or needs access to it).

What momentus does in one application, we used to have to do in three. Momentus makes venue / client management way easier to track, and made our workflow process so much smoother.

It's not the most user-friendly at first. It is such a powerful platform that it is hard to keep user-friendly at some points. That being said, the basic use cases of Momentus are very easy.

Momentus is solving our workflow issues. Previously we had seperate platforms for booking our spaces, client communication & internal stakeholder bookings. Now, all that is handled on one platform. It's made our small department have more time for other admin tasks.

And before closing your ticket they also include a link to the instructions on how to make the changes yourself in the future.

The frequency of time that I actually have to request support! I need to be more knowledged on Momentus.

With the ability to keep up with documentation and notes, we can always go to past events and review their notes and documents when it is time to re-book their future events and spaces without having to go look through old file boxes.

I dislike that I can't tell who has entered information or when. I dislike that we cannot see the names of the crew that are working and I dislike that when I go into an event, when I come out I am back to the top of the calendar. Example: I reviewed event information for Aug 16 but when I closed that I went back to Aug 1.

I love that it is so customizable. It's far beyond any other Exposition software I have tried.

That we can't pull queries anymore, like we could in v19, and put those queries into views. Also, the import feature isn't as nice as v19. When I'm importing 14,000+ records at one time, having to use a dropdown to look at a duplicate is too hard compared to the side-by-side screens we had in v19.

The highly customizable platforms lets me build out our booth ordering system the way we need it. The Exhibitor Portal is great as a one-stop-shop for our exhibitors.

The client relationship component of Momentus does everything I need.

I sell Niagara Falls so imbedding pictures of their beauty in my emails is an important part of how I sell.  The process is cumbersome and I'm not always pleased with the result.

**What problems is Momentus Technologies solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to Momentus we used a function book to track space, typed BEOs individually and used ACT for a CRM.  I primarily use the CRM component for prospecting and staying in touch with clients.  I have created several prospecting emails in the template and use activities to track when to reach out to my clients.  It's allowed me to stay organized and reach out to clients at the appropriate time.

The complete and thorough offerings on this platform allow for total collaboration among staff to manage a facility successfully. It allows everyone to have access to the details of every event, so no details slip through the cracks. Once you are familiar with the program, the ability to customize reports is great, and if I need backup or support, the reps I work with are excellent.

**What do you like best about Momentus Technologies?**

I find Momentus Elite to be absolutely comprehensive for organizing and communicating use through our very large, complex and busy performing arts center. Anything I could want to include in detail or need my coworkers to know about an event has a tidy and intuitive place it belongs. Even before I was trained in on it, I could poke around and find the information I needed. And then when I did receive training, it was easy to understand and remember because of the layout of the interface. I use it daily in 90% of my job functions and being able to access it when I'm away from my work computer is the cherry on top. We don't have to bend our work to Elite, it integrates easily.

**What do you dislike about Momentus Technologies?**

Truly, the only thing I do not like is how many of my colleagues don't use it. So many emails in a day could be avoided if they simply looked in Elite. Silly goose behavior.

**What problems is Momentus Technologies solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We avoid double bookings and are even able to track the number of tables, chairs and other equipment so we don't promise more than we can deliver. Being able to invoice directly through Momentus Elite is an incredible tool as well.

Difficult to send avails from phone.  Wish hold status automatically when hold is removed.  iPhone version needs to be an app not a mobile website.

Literally the master calendar is the lifeline of the United Center.  Holding NBA/NHL dates, concert holds, and other events.

I enjoy being able to arrange my view in the dashboard, voucher batches, etc. according to the information I find most pertinent. It is very easy to print checks and format according to my needs.

At times it is difficult to find certain accounts or events due to the complicated filter system - sometimes the filter defaults to a certain time frame and I have to manually clear the filter field in order to continue.
