I've been impressed with the ease of use mighty networks provides. I'm not normally a "social media" person but I've found MN to be incredibly easy to use and understand, and that includes for the person setting it up! (Me!!)
I have wanted to implement a social community on my site for several years and I finally decided to do so after seeing someone else use Mighty. Up until now my only real soution i thought was to implement a buddy press site, but that is cumbersome, requiring lots of coding to make it look good and work with my theme. MN is already done and works really well. I love the notifications (opens up a new way to communicate with customers besides email) and I really like the calendar/zoom integration. I'm now scheduling all of my meeting directly in MN instead of through zoom.
I'm still pretty new to the platform but so far I've been pleased and my customers have been pleased. Personally I'm using it every day in the business and my customers are starting to use it more and more. I'm hoping it becomes the epicenter of our website.
Also the on-boarding was a very welcome surprise. I haven't reached out to the direct customer support because I haven't needed to! The on-boarding pretty much got me up and running all on it's own!
One more thing I really like - (i'm on the basic plan) I was able to create a subdomain on my website and use that as my mighty address! So people don't have to type in a mighty specific address, but rather community.mysite.com This makes it look like it's very exclusive to my site which I really like (this was actually a friction point before because I didn't want to take people off my site for a community)
All things considered it's a thumbs up! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have only a couple things I'd really do differently with MN.
1) Top of the list is Single Sign on. Even with everything I like about MN, this is almost in itself a deal breaker. My typical client is over 60 and they don't understand why they need two logins, one for my site and one for MN. It's a fairly simple integration with wordpress and in 2023 with all the technology we have, it should be a no-brainer. It should be a free feature with the basic level of service. (all zapier integrations should)
2) My second complaint is usage limits - I find them confining and because of the limits I find myself NOT using features of MN. Storage is cheap these days. I pay less/month for my main video hosting with 7TB of storage than I would for MN business plan - and MN only provides 1TB. I know there's a sliding scale but for online businesses like mine variable costs in business utility services (like MN) is a killer. Before you know it you have created an essential part of your business that people expect, but the cost to provide that continues to go up as usage goes up. A warning to other business owner (and to MN) this can crush your business cashflow so be very careful and plan accordingly. (Note to MN - you should adjust this seriously)
3) Finally my 3rd complaint is for the "Mighty Pro". I actually found mighty because I wanted to do an app. But the cost of Mighty Pro is prohibitive (and entirely unnecessary). Moreover I didn't appreciate being told I'm not a candidate for it without really being able to investigate. That was my one complaint about MN. The process of investigating if MN Pro was a good fit for me actually not only turned me off to MN but had me actively looking for another solution.
Due to the pricing of MN pro I won't be doing the app with MN and already have other solutions, which may ultimately cause me to move away from MN altogether. That part remains to be seen.
Bottom line: I really really like MN a lot. But they shoot themselves in the foot a little. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I'm back with an update of my review. it's now 2025 and I'm more committed than ever to Mighty. Over the last two years they have added several new features that are fantastic. Including addition of more than 2000 embeds, integrating with Kit (aka Convertkit), adding AI assistance (Co-Host) and a ton of automations. After more than 8 years I've upgraded and have never looked back.
2023 I chose Mighty Networks several years ago for a few reasons: it offered a safe, private alternative to running groups and events; it also offered a way to identify common geographic locations with it's "near you" feature – love that! – and it was gorgeous! That was in 2016. As I began to look further into the company, I learned it was created by a woman (Yay for women in tech!) and has a great rep for JEDI. Very important to me.
And as a host, Gina Bianchini and her team LISTEN!! I'll say that again, THEY LISTEN TO THE HOSTS! So over the last 6 years they have been asking us what we want and making changes to the platform in response to what the hosts, our communities and our members need. Yeah, that's cool!
What do I like best about the platform?
It's like being able to build a house with carte blanch in my decorating budget – do I want chat and a feed or just a feed? do I want to have a course with a community feel or just a DIY lessons and a video from me – or both? There is so much flexibility in this platform that platform is too "flat" a word to describe it.
I'm definitely an evangelist. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
2025 well, the integration of Kit has helped a ton with the CRM challenge. And our tags in Mighty now integrate with Kit so that's amazing.
The only other complaint i have is the lack of a built in way to manage members - I use Airtable to download member lists from Mighty (the downloads are really "robust") and that works great.
2023 I can't believe i'm going to say this, but sometimes there are too many possibilities that I make it too complicated - for myself and for my members.
I'm a one-person show right now, so having a built in CRM would be great. I've figured out how to integrate my data but if that were built in that would be amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Mighty Networks has been a great partner in my quest to create a community that encompasses both online and live components.
They're fun people, and the summits they've held recently have been great for giving me support and inspiration. The other hosts are nice, and the customer support has been good any time I've had a question.
Their AI integration has helped me be more efficient with my time, and the integration with Zapier has been helpful for building my newsletter list in MailChimp.
I'm in my community every day, and the streaks have been a fun recent addition.
Overall, I find Mighty Networks easy to use, and recommend it to everyone looking to build a community. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is a learning curve for learning how to create a community. I've been on the platform for 4 years, and they've come up with easier and easier ways of doing things as time goes on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really appreciate that MN is private and not using algorithms. As the host, I can make sure my community sees all my posts. I also like the features with polls, hot and cold questions, etc. to keep the engagement going and building community among members. I am impressed with how Mighty keeps innovating and how it makes my work as a host easier. Just to mention a few things that have been added is Spaces, Member tab with photos in bubbles to encourage connection, especially with members near you is valuable. I also love the new AI features and the Mighty People GPT along with gamification. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Navigation is new but members learn fast Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What's particularly unique about Mighty Networks is the methods it has developed to incentivize people to connect. Mighty calls this "People Magic". It is based not on any new theory, but on basic human psychology. Mighty specializes in finding ways to get people to WANT to grow a community, because they receive continual valuable benefits from participation. Other community platforms recognize this to some degree, but Mighty takes it to an extreme. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's not really a dislike, but Mighty does have a LOT of features, which might confuse those just starting out. But this issue is resolved the more one interacts with Mighty, and learns the WHY for the abundance of features. Each one came about organically because it solves a certain challenge. Each one helps people connect in a new way, and Connection is what Mighty is about. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My favorite thing about Mighty Networks is the intuitive planning and design. As a host, I can customize nearly every part of my community to brand it for my business and have it make sense for my members. I can easily organize courses, guides, discussion boards, and more so that it flows and encourages participation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don’t think I can think of anything I don’t like! I have been very happy so far! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Top notch customer service and ongoing strategic support, very intuitive UX, excellent platform to host BOTH resources and build community. Mighty is always growing in terms on added features and listens to customer input requests. Love the ongoing live calls to educate and equip their Mighty Host Community. I've learned so much! Our community is thriving thanks to Mighty! Our community uses the Mighty Networks platform daily. When we switched over to Mighty 3 years ago - they made it so easy to integrate all of our resources....the transitions was honestly very seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have not yet to find something that is not helpful or that I dislike about Mighty Networks. New features continue to be added every month - blown away by the team's creativity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is an excellent platform for building a community centered around my financial training and consulting business. I appreciate its ability to create a centralized hub where members will be able to engage, access resources, and participate in discussions seamlessly. The customization options allow me to tailor the experience to fit my brand and the built-in event management tools make it easy to deliver value to my community. There are some areas that could be improved… first off, it was very difficult to get real time answers to questions and reach a human-being for urgent questions after signing up. Also, after the special offer expires, I do think the pricing is a bit steep considering my community plan does not have many features I am able to use (i.e. courses, adding pages and other buttons that I can see, but are greyed out). Additionally, while the platform offers great features, the user interface could be more intuitive— some aspects like creating payment plans and automation features require a learning curve. Overall, it is a powerful tool for community-driven businesses and well worth considering if you’re looking to build an engaging community. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This hub is such an incredible space to not only gather your community to stay connected and have a single platform, but here you can continue to grow together! It has multiple ways to stay interactive—it has ways to monetize—it has ways to celebrate! The Mighty team is so engaging and incredible helpful, they genuinely want YOU to succeed, so you have so many tools available at your fingertips. I only recently joined, but I know this will grow my business, strengthen my community, and change my life! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not really sure. If I had to nitpick—There is a small push to get your community up and running within two weeks - but every community can take a different amount of time to build, grow and monetize. I am starting with 0 - not a migrating from a different platform—so two weeks is too quick for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the aesthetic of the site. I love the excitement the Mighty team has for the platform and how engaged they are with us hosts through their own community website. I believe in the long run, having a well run, engaged community will give us little guys an edge on our our little corner of the internet to have successful businesses. Done right, this can be a word-of-mouth machine. Mighty also has a ton of support in that they don't just sell you the platform. They give you oodles of ideas from themselves, as well as other website hosts, to help you create an online presence people will want to follow. And they are doing everything imaginable between providing lessons, to deploying new tools, to gathering us together with other site hosts to figure out what makes everything work. I'm very excited to see what else comes down the pike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Figuring out the best way to welcome people joining the community and get them oriented has been a bit challenging, although with many of the new features Mighty is releasing I see greener pastures on that horizon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The TIMING was just right for me. When I was designing and building my course, I considered launching on three other platforms, but none of them felt right for me. I discovered Mighty Networks in August 2024. By October 10th, I committed to joining the Path to Pro level membership. I knew the value was solid, especially since I was done with my course and I was ready to launch it. My course mentions how important community is, so it made complete sense to launch it where community is built-in to the offering. By attending various how-to support sessions, and with the help of the Customer Support dedicated to Path to Pro Members, I was able to design my Community Member site and upload my Course by mid-December. I did launch on January 1, 2025. I have never worked so quickly on an important project, ever. I'm such a tortoise.
Although I can build my Community in an infinite amount of ways, I stuck to my vision of creating a vibrant and playful yet elegant space. By using Canva for all my graphics, I can quickly customize my spaces, pages, icons, and blog posts with my branded colors. And the built-in customizable Landing Page is incredibly helpful!
What do I like most about Mighty Networks? It's a tie: 1) The amount of on-going support from the Mighty Team, with challenges, summits, office hours, and weekly strategic sessions, and especially the "Need Help" angels who answer every question whenever I get stuck. Even though I am working by myself, I am not creating this on my own. So much credit goes to the amount of resources (actual humans) dedicated to helping Hosts succeed. And 2) The fact that Mighty Networks is truly a platform for community-building and encouragement amongst its members. The IT team is creating AI features that are nothing less than extraordinary. AND the entire platform comes from a place of generosity, connection, and nurturing support - not shocking that it was founded by a woman. YAY Gina Bianchini! She, Tim Herby, and Tom Aaron have collaborated brilliantly. I can't wait for more people to become familiar with Mighty. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Again, it's the TIMING. It's new enough that my members, peers, and friends need a hand-held walkthrough at first. But that comes with learning any new environment. I'm sure we were all intimidated back in the day when we first logged onto customizable spaces we invited others to join - online spaces have come a long way and the future is bright here on Mighty Networks.
