Drawing-friendly rendering and modeling tools in 2/3D enhance optimized design workflows. Also, clear collaboration and elevated project visibility help distinguish the product platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
DGN legacy challenges interoperability, especially in the DWG base form. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I loved that it is easy to use, as a beginner and a frequent user I find it too useful and easy to implement. It is compatiable with most of the file formats which help to integrate with different other design tools. It is a highly productive tool and thats why I believe it offers good value for money. It is a reliable and versatile design software that can handle wide variety of tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A few set of feature are hard to understand as a beginner but I contacted customer support which was super useful and got my queries resolved in less than a day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Microstation gives you more control and options for some civil work than other CAD platforms. Plus, the interface with Microstation resembles that of ArcGIS online and Microsoft office products, which is really helpful when learning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If you learn Microstation after learning another CAD program (Eg, AutoCAD, Civil3D, etc.), there are some challenges that are present. However, I've heard that if it's the other way around (you learn Microstation THEN another platform), you have an advantage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
MicroStation is good at what it does and it has quick processing speed. I can easily sketch out plans for contractors to be able to see what they have to build. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Microstation don't really do a good job with documentation and manuals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a grad student who’s been using MicroStation for 6 months, what I love most is how easy it makes 3D modeling and working with different file types. For instance, I had to design a gyroid model for our 3D printing project. MicroStation let me create super detailed 3D models even at a very small scale. Plus, even though my teammates were using different CAD software, we had no problems because MicroStation supports tons of file formats like DWG and DXF. Also, I became an instant fan of the visualization tools that helped me make realistic renderings of the atoms, material constituents and test samples, which were awesome for showing at my poster presentation. Also, being able to customize the interface and automate tasks with simple scripts saved me a ton of time and hassle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a student I have a university alloted laptop for my academic work and the software can be quite resources-intensive, which sometimes slows down my computer, especially with bigger rendering models. It was sometimes hard to find specific tools quickly compared to other CAD software I've used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like it because it is very intuitive, the familiarization with the software is quick and that helps a lot when starting a project, the first contact is very user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The customization of some tools is usually somewhat difficult to achieve, and at the same time, the commands tend to be somewhat complicated or difficult to understand. As an extra, I think the software can be expensive for an individual user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its moreStrong and adaptable, MicroStation is an excellent CAD program for managing intricate design and modeling jobs. Its excellent 3D capabilities, interoperability, and customization possibilities make it a significant tool for professionals working in the architecture and engineering sectors. Potential users should think about the costs involved and be ready for a challenging learning curve. Despite these difficulties, MicroStation is a powerful tool that may greatly improve design workflows and project outcomes for those that put in the effort to learn it. Compared to AutoCAD, the most helpful features of MicroStation are its ability to handle external references and its advanced AccuSnap functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Microstation lacks a similar object selection feature like the one found in AutoCAD Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Effective on creating various Architectural and other Construction projects 3D models and drawing management and the Engineering data management and collaboration using MicroStation is amazing and editing tools are perfect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Never had any issues with the product and with experience on other drawing tools is easy to use MicroStation and easy implementation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
