One of the major drawbacks is that it is not very compatible with Windows 11. Initially, it works fine but eventually SQL server takes a large chunk of memory which as a result makes the overall system slow. I think that the best part is that it is compatible with any programming language you use. I have used SQL Server 2017 with Java, .NET and C#. Storage is the biggest problem. The SQL Server takes up a lot of memory space, by which the system becomes extremely slow. Another concern is about a technical issue we faced, but the free customer support was not adequate, so we had to go for the paid support. Other than that, no other issues so far.
