Microsoft Defender is a classy product from Microsoft and with the feature of Cloud, the Defender can do a lot for your infrastructure from On-Perm to Hybrid and Cloud. It has a wide dashboard from where you can see the all issues in your infra. You can see the risky users in real-time in your environment, you can see your risk score known as the secure score. You can monitor your user device risk and security recommendations from Microsoft itself. You can plan your patching according to the risk you are seeing on the dashboard.

Features are good but a few times they failed to detect the hidden pattern of Malware, zero day attack is also not recognized by them most time. Microsoft Defender XDR is like a security tool for the office 365 Environment and it automatically collects the data , signal and analyz them including mails , application , endpoints etc. The Implementation of XDR is easy if you have already setup the domain and policies. There is no such dislike about Microsoft Defender XDR as It analyz whole Microsoft 365 Environment except it is licensed base and availe you need to pay amount and to use this you need high profiency in Microsoft 365 and design of the portal is quite complex which can be quite simple like indefend. This tool has a very good platform and user friendly to all new user as well.It is a easy to use platform and a soc monitoring tool. it's ease of implementaion makes user to use it. Microsoft Defender is actually a very good product; it was created by Microsoft, is free, and comes with in Windows. I like it better than antivirus. When I use antivirus, sometimes viruses still come. But since I activated Windows Defender, it works better, and my laptop performance has improved.Even I recommend to my friends that they should use Microsoft Defender for Windows because it is good. What I dislike about Microsoft Defender is that many times it takes a lot of time to remove the trojans and viruses that come into the laptop. Keeps running in the background for a long time.  I feel that Microsoft should improve what it is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

So far there is nothing to dislike instead of the integration challenges with third party tool which are non-Microsoft tools. But it can be doable with guides or plugins. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

All option and log analytics are handy in single view! Well microsoft is really working on UI specially incident dashboard, new incident view section is better we can see alerts, incident timeline and previous related incident in single window which is good.

There are too much data connector in content hub which is amazing and makes our life easy to integrate new log source. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Bug fixes and funtionality issue.

Recently the data connector were not visible in data connector page and we faced lot of problem in health checks.

Microsoft should build an alternate workbook to monitor all data connectors manually.

The better side of defender for cloud was that it does it works perfectly fine, it was easy to integrate with my multivendor ecommerce website & application. We implemented defender cloud within couple of days. Even the customer support helped us with complete integration. We used it for couple of months and it prevented alot of spam and attacks. The only drawback of this service I found was the costing of this service. I found it a bit on the expensive side and hence we had to drop it somehow due to budget constrain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
