I use Microsoft Power Apps for building apps, specifically for expense tracking. I think it gives us autonomy to create our app by ourselves without having to wait for the IT team, which is really helpful. I find Microsoft Power Apps easier to use and easier to navigate. It's very easy to use once you get the hang of it, even if I occasionally watch a YouTube video at first to help me navigate.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?**

I think it could be more user-friendly. Like, it is still a very good interface. But it could probably be better to use, maybe a bit more simpler because I still have to look at YouTube to see how to do this or that. There's something I'm not able to remember about a particular automation I'm trying to build. Maybe, like, a little learn section with videos in it.

I use Microsoft Power Apps for automation, like sorting emails and creating forms to organize responses, making different processes smoother.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The current problem this is helping me solve is that we have a small technical development team, so they don’t really have much time to dedicate to business-related products and ideas. With this, I’m able to respond faster and build things for my team as a market engineer, without having to rely so heavily on the software technical team.

 ### 15. AI Copilot Makes App Building a Conversation—Seamless with the Microsoft 365 Ecosystem

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Apps?**

AI and Copilot are fire, and they’ve turned app building into a conversation. You can literally describe the problem, and the platform drafts the data tables, screens, and logic for you.

Biggest dislike for most people is the cost and complexity of licensing. MS has retired “per app” license for new customers, pushing many towards the $20/user premium plan which is a bit expensive

Great for small to medium tasks but starts to sweat under heavy loads

Its seamless integration with Microsoft 365 and other data sources makes automation and customization simple. The drag-and-drop interface is intuitive, saving both time and effort while empowering teams to innovate quickly.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?**

While Microsoft Power Apps is incredibly powerful, it can sometimes feel a bit complex when building large-scale applications. However, this complexity also reflects its flexibility and depth, allowing users to create truly customized solutions. With continued updates and improvements from Microsoft, it’s becoming more user-friendly and efficient every day.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Power Apps solves the problem of long development cycles by enabling quick app creation without deep coding expertise. ### 19. Intuitive Automation Tool for Corporate Environments

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fred v. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

I really like that Microsoft Power Apps is intuitive and that it works in my corporate environment. It's quite easy to learn by playing around with it, which makes it accessible for me. Plus, it's a big plus that we're allowed to use it internally. The initial setup was easy since it was all set up by my company.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?**

it's a learning process and I'm sure I don't get the most out of it as what's possible, so limitations are more on my side

**What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Microsoft Power Apps to automate day-to-day repetitive tasks like account and market research.

 ### 20. Empowers Low-Code App Development, But Watch for Cost Changes

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alphonse X. | Automation Developer I, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Apps?**

I use Microsoft Power Apps to build low-code/no-code apps. It's easy to use, allowing anyone with little technical knowledge to start creating apps to increase their productivity. I find it helpful for creating a decent UI, and it's great for running heavy processing in Power Automate Cloud. I also like its integration with several connectors. Power Apps simplifies the process by letting users add controls, layouts, and images into a canvas, so there's no need to spend hours building buttons, layouts, and the code behind them. For data-intensive processes, using model-driven apps is a major plus.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?**

Since it is a Microsoft product, they get to control what they enable/disable. For example, they recently deprecated a connector that forced us to move from a free version to a premium version leaving us with no choice. They could release a newer version of the connector while still keeping it free for users to use. Instead, they deprecate what is free and force us to move to a paid version. It needs some getting used to, it can be better.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Microsoft Power Apps to build low-code apps for hundreds of users, creating decent UI, processing data with Power Automate, and integrating with connectors. It's easy for anyone to use, boosting productivity by adding controls without needing extensive coding.

 ### 21. Streamlined App Creation Without Heavy Coding

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel G. | Senior eLearning developer | Instructional designer | Storyline developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Apps?**

Even without professional development skills, Microsoft Power Apps lets anyone make business applications.

The business world is built on Microsoft tools like SharePoint, Teams, and Excel so Power Apps feels seamless here. You can do all manner of workflow automation with this platform that just happen to integrate smoothly with other Microsoft product lines.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?**

When you try to manage many data sources or large apps, the interface may become cluttered. Performance can be even slower with complex logic and large datasets, so the build and test process may take longer.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apps made by Microsoft make it possible for business people with less specific knowledge of software creation but some experience in code-building(internet) to create customized business systems in an instant. They collect data, automate tasks and integrate smoothly with Microsoft tools. This eliminates delays at the same time that it saves man-hours on both sides of project management, between IT (Information Technology) professionals and those responsible for decision-making at all different levels in an organization.

 ### 22. Rapid, Low-Code Business Apps with Seamless Microsoft Integration

**What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Power Apps solves the problem of slow and costly custom application development. Instead of relying entirely on IT or external vendors, it allows teams to quickly build tailored solutions for specific business processes.

 ### 23. Effortless App Creation and Seamless Integration

**Reviewed by:** Nijat I. | Full-stack Developer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Apps?**

The platform makes it surprisingly easy to turn ideas into real apps. I can build something useful in just a few hours and connect it with Excel or SharePoint without much setup.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?**

Sometimes it feels slow when the app gets more complex. The editor could also be more intuitive — a few things take longer to find than they should.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

> Power Apps helps me close the gap between ideas and real working solutions. As a freelancer, I often need to create small internal tools for clients — things like task trackers, data forms, or dashboards. Before, this took days of manual coding, but now I can build them in a few hours and connect everything to Excel or SharePoint. It’s a huge time saver and makes my work much more efficient and professional.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Power Apps solves the problem of slow and resource-intensive application development for internal business processes.

Instead of relying entirely on IT or external developers, teams can quickly build tailored apps to automate workflows, centralize data collection, and replace manual spreadsheets or email-based processes.

For me, the main benefit is speed and flexibility — I can prototype solutions quickly, iterate based on feedback, and implement process improvements without waiting through long development cycles.

Lets teams turn simple ideas into useful apps without needing a full development cycle and quite easy. It’s helpful for building internal tools, repetitive tasks, and getting thinks working fast.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?**

That I can feel limited once I want to do something more complex. It’s great for simple internal tools, but the flexibility, performance, and customization options less impressive for some bigger use cases.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

 ### 26. Any human that knows nothing about coding can build their own apps with this!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Logan R. | Manager, Telecommunications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Apps?**

No one has to have any sort of experience or extreme coding knowledge to be able to create apps! If you understand Microsoft and if you can manuever excel for the most part, you can do this with ease! I created an app for our agents to use for calculating cost on approvals they do and it cut their time in half. You can easily connect it with other apps and data, its just too easy!

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?**

There are a couple of advanced features that can be tricky, but it uses a copilot that can help you with that. The biggest issue I probably have is the licensing. It is confusing and you dont really know costly it might be until its too late. As long as its not using many users or a ton of complexities, you should be fine in this area.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A ton of problems, honestly, but the biggest problem it solves is helping to 1.keep our agents fast by auto-calculating what they need, then cutting their time down by having created a all-in-one place for them to be able to go to and have a "tool box". It's benefited and has not done the opposite for sure

 ### 27. Quick App Deployment, But Needs Smoother Troubleshooting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicolaos N. | Connectivity & Provisioning Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Apps?**

I like the fact that even though I'm not a developer, I can turn my ideas into a working app pretty fast, which offers great flexibility for businesses. The effortless integration with SharePoint is also a major plus. I find it super useful for designing apps that are easily customized, updated, and deployed, which is important in fast-moving companies. The setup was pretty straightforward, especially since we're already using the 365 environment, which helped us adjust even faster. Accessing the platform and creating basic apps from templates required almost zero effort. Finally, I would rate it 8.5/10 because of how powerful and flexible the platform is.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?**

The learning curve can be difficult for new users, especially when working with data relationships and optimization. Also, troubleshooting is pretty difficult, because debugging and error codes are not very clear. Licensing and pricing can be challenging. About data relationships, the main challenge is managing complex data, especially when using SharePoint as a data source. SharePoint lists are not relational, so many-to-many relationships often require workarounds and additional formulas. Pricing is another challenge. It is not very clear which license is required for a specific app, and costs can rise quickly as apps grow in complexity or user count.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Power Apps allows me to deploy and design tools without coding, creating full apps quickly. It offers flexibility for businesses with effortless app customization and SharePoint integration, crucial for fast-moving companies.

Simplicity in development is important to me, and Microsoft Power Apps delivers on that front.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?**

I think one of the biggest issues is following through the ALMs. The ALM structure for Power Platform. When you have to move these applications or chain them across environments. There are times when working around the environment can be very technical to get by. Especially when you have to tailor them with per automate flows. The area of the ALM structure and solutions. Manage and especially managed solutions. It would be very good to see Microsoft putting some more simplicity to that side of things. And it would definitely help with moving solutions across environments.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

 ### 36. Solid Integration but Licensing Woes

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chintan G.

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Apps?**

I find the integration capabilities of Microsoft Power Apps genuinely solid. I hooked it up to NinjaOne API and built automated diagnostics flows that actually saved time. The HTTP connectors are great as they let you talk to pretty much any REST API, which is crucial when you're not living in Microsoft's ecosystem exclusively. Power Automate flows become intuitive once you get past the initial learning curve, and being able to trigger them from Teams is handy for end-user self-service. The visual flow builder is helpful for mapping out logic before committing to code, and the Graph API calls through Power Automate handle batch operations more effectively than individual calls. The Teams integration is convenient because users can trigger workflows without needing to learn anything new. Using the Teams bot (Power Virtual Agents) ties it all together, allowing users to chat while flows handle the backend tasks, saving time on repetitive requests like distribution list access and app installations. The HTTP connector in Premium enables hitting any REST API without needing official connectors for every platform, which is particularly useful.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?**

The licensing is an absolute nightmare. What they call "standard connectors" vs "premium connectors" isn't clear until you're already building something and hit a paywall. You think M365 E3/E5 gives you Power Apps? Nope - just a neutered version that can't do half of what you actually need. Ended up needing Premium licenses faster than expected. Performance can be hit or miss. Some flows run instantly, others randomly take 30+ seconds for no apparent reason. Error handling is also rubbish - when something breaks, good luck figuring out where without digging through run history.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Microsoft Power Apps for automating IT workflows and integrating with RMM tools. The integration capabilities are solid, saving time with automated diagnostics flows. Power Automate flows are handy for end-user self-service. It handles batch operations effectively, making management tasks smoother.

 ### 37. Fast App Development, Seamless Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vikas P. | Assistant Manager

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Apps?**

I like Microsoft Power Apps because I can quickly turn an idea into a functional application without writing a lot of code. The drag-and-drop interface, combined with built-in connectors to SharePoint, Excel, Teams, Data, and Power Automate, makes it incredibly easy to build useful internal tools in hours instead of weeks. It also shines in how smoothly it integrates across the Microsoft ecosystem, automatically inheriting authentication, permissions, and data access, so I don't have to worry about security or backend logic. The ability to create mobile-ready applications automatically is another huge advantage, as it removes the overhead of building separate web and mobile interfaces. One thing that works especially well is how seamlessly Power Apps connect with Power Automate. When you pair the two, you can turn a simple app into a full workflow engine for approvals, notifications, scheduled tasks, and data syncing without custom backend scripting. I also appreciate how easy it is to manage permissions and data governance since everything aligns with Azure AD, cutting down a lot of startup effort and avoiding security headaches.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?**

Power Apps is effective for quick internal tools, but there are areas that could be improved. Performance becomes an issue as apps grow more complex, with screens loading slowly or forms lagging. The design flexibility is also limited, and creating highly polished or custom interfaces requires workarounds. Licensing can be confusing, especially when premium connectors suddenly increase costs. Debugging tools and version control are basic, making it harder to trace errors or collaborate on large projects. While Power Apps is strong for rapid development, performance, customization, pricing clarity, and developer tools could be enhanced.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Microsoft Power Apps to quickly build business applications without managing traditional infrastructure. It helps eliminate manual workflows, integrates data from various Microsoft 365 services, and replaces scattered Excel and email processes with structured, easy-to-use apps.

 ### 41. Power Apps: Seamless Microsoft Integration for Interactive Data Touchpoints

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Apps?**

Overall, what stands out about Power Apps is how well it fits into the broader Microsoft ecosystem and the way it can be used across multiple use cases. In a consulting environment, where you are constantly working with different clients and teams, it becomes a practical way to build interactive touchpoints around data. It integrates easily with other Microsoft tools and allows you to capture inputs, commentary, and actions directly, which makes conversations with stakeholders more engaging. It is not just a viewing layer, but a tool you can actively write back into, which adds real value beyond reporting.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?**

One of the challenges with Power Apps is around data integration and access management. While building apps using SharePoint lists is fairly straightforward, it becomes more complicated when you try to integrate with other data sources. Connecting to non-database sources like Excel or external files often requires additional flows and workarounds, which adds unnecessary complexity.

Access management is another pain point, especially when Power Apps is embedded within Power BI. Users often need permissions across Power BI, Power Apps, and the underlying SharePoint list just to view, write, or modify data. This makes prototyping and rollout more cumbersome than it needs to be. Ideally, tighter integration between these tools would reduce the need to manage access separately across all three layers.

Similarly, storing data outside SharePoint, such as in SQL, can feel more complex than expected for what is meant to be a low-code platform. Overall, while Power Apps works well within the Microsoft ecosystem, data connectivity and permission handling still feel more restrictive than intuitive.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Power Apps helps bridge the gap between data and action by turning dashboards from read-only views into interactive tools. It allows users to add inputs, commentary, and feedback directly into workflows, which is especially useful in a consulting environment where insights evolve through discussion with stakeholders. For me, it has helped move analytics beyond static reporting by reducing manual processes and enabling more structured, transparent collaboration, making insights more actionable rather than just informative.

 ### 42. Low Code tool for building internal business Apps

 ### 49. Power Apps is good for allowing workers to create low code solutions quickly, but has issues

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zoe P. | Mining Technician, Mining & Metals, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Apps?**

I like that it's somewhat easy (not totally) to use for creating forms and automated processes. The customer support is great (depending on the tier of Microsoft support you have). There are a number of features users have access to (not all all straight forward nor intuitive). We use it weekly pretty much to automate small processes here and there across our corporate sites. It easily integrates into Power Automate and other MS products.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?**

It's not as intuitive as it can be. Also, it's browser based, and there's lots of nagging issues that Microsoft hasn't seemed to fix. For instance, sometimes when you go into a feature and hit their "back button" link to go back to the previous page,it actually takes you two pages backwards. And some times, like when developing "business rules" on a form, you have to reload the page half a dozen times before the editor will come up. It's almost like you have to "wake it up" before it'll load into your browser.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IT allows us to quickly set up forms like submitting leave approvals, alerting certain departments of outages, seeking authorisation to do things on site, etc. So in that sense, it's great -- keeps track of everything for us and less emails we have to worry about manually sending ourselves.
