What do you dislike about Microsoft Photos?

Some common criticisms or limitations that I have feel about Microsoft Photos:

Limited Advanced Editing Features: While Microsoft Photos provides basic editing tools, it may lack more advanced features that professional or advanced users might require. Users seeking extensive editing capabilities often prefer dedicated photo editings software like Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom.

Lack of Customization: The customization options within Microsoft Photos may be limited compared to more specialized photo management or editing software. Users who prefer a high level of customization or control over their photo organization or editing may find the software lacking in this aspect.

Compatibility with Other Platforms: While Microsoft Photos is primarily designed for Windows 10, its compatibility with other operating systems or platforms may be limited. This could pose challenges for users who need to access or manage their photos across different devices or operating systems.

What do you like best about Microsoft Photos?

I use Microsoft Photos daily for editing photos and graphics. It provides a seamless experience for resizing or cropping images, eliminating the need for external editing apps. It's also a convenient tool for capturing and editing screenshots. One of the features I find particularly useful is the doodle feature, which allows me to highlight or circle specific parts of a screenshot for emphasis. I also love the copy/paste functionality, which allows me to paste my screenshot directly into my Teams chat or email, eliminating the need to upload it as an attachment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Photos?

Limited editing features - although it is convenient to perform basic resizing and cropping edits within Microsoft Photos, if more advanced photo editing is required, I must use an external editing app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Photos solving and how is that benefiting you?

Microsoft Photos helps me to seamlessly edit my photos, capture and share screenshots, add doodles or notes to my photos for emphasis, and keep all of my photos organized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft Photos?

The best thing about latest photos app is its improvements in user interface especially multi view ui. It has a strip on bottom side which displays all pictures from a folder and it is very easy to navigate between them if you have taken many photos. We can even edit videos quickly in busy schedules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Photos?

The video editing is not great in the Microsoft photos. There is very good competetion in the market . The tools in the video editing are not user friendly and time consuming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Photos solving and how is that benefiting you?

You can edit the photos directly with the built in photo editor. You can easily mark photos using paint like tools to identify particular portions in a picture and we can do it very quickly. With the film strip on the bottom we can quickly view all the photos and it saves so much time. Even the multi view is also great to compare pics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft Photos?

I really appreciate how user-friendly Microsoft Photos is. As someone who doesn't have much experience with photo editing software, the basic editing tools provided by the app are simple and easy to use. I also love the automatic video montages and collages feature, which allows me to create visually appealing creations without needing to spend a lot of time on manual edits. Additionally, the app's integration with OneDrive makes it easy to access my photos across all my devices Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Photos?

One thing I dislike about Microsoft Photos is that the editing tools are fairly basic. While they are easy to use, they may not be sufficient for users who require more advanced editing features. Additionally, I have experienced some issues with the app crashing or being slow to load, which can be frustrating when I am trying to quickly access or edit my photos. Overall, I think Microsoft Photos is a good app, but it does have some limitations that may be a drawback for more advanced users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Photos solving and how is that benefiting you?

Microsoft Photos is solving the problem of organizing and managing large collections of photos and videos. Before using the app, I struggled to keep my photos organized and easily accessible. However, with Microsoft Photos, I can easily sort and search through my photos by date, location, and other categories, making it much easier to find specific images. Additionally, the app's integration with OneDrive ensures that my photos are always synced across my devices, which means I can access my images from anywhere. What do you like best about Microsoft Photos?

MS Photos became a powerful image manager from just being an image viewer. I like the progress and how this tool became one of my my faviorates. My most used feature is the media library, where I can see all my images (screenshots) in order when they are physically spread across different folders. It is now enjoyable and easy to look for, manage and edit my screenshots. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Photos?

I think this tool is going in the right direction and can only be better. The development progress surprised me some time ago; at this point, only good things about Microsoft Photos come to my mind. I would integrate it more with MS Explorer if I have any suggestions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Photos solving and how is that benefiting you?

The tool combines an image editor and library, which is handy when dealing with many disordered digital images. In my case, it helps me document my work where I am required to screenshot completed tasks. I can easily access my pictures and edit them as needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
