What do you dislike about Microsoft Defender for Business?

The console and management should have been more extensive. UI could be better than it is now. Should have provided a Desktop App for management. A little complex to manage for a regular IT Manager who looks out for simple and easy to manage protection solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft Defender for Business?

Microsoft Defender for Business is far better than any antivirus available in the market in terms of the benefits given by them. Microsoft provides real-time protection from malware, virus and other cyber threat. It is cost-effective and can be used for up to 300 users. Very easy to use. Helps you to monitor and manage security across all the devices from a single dashboard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Defender for Business?

The thing to dislike about Microsoft Defender for business is sometimes it is difficult to use with the older Windows version. We experience some issues. Microsoft Defender comes with a pre-configured solution that does not offer much customization for organizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft Defender for Business?

Microsoft Defender for Business is widely recognized for its strong malware protection capabilities and the ability to integrate with other Microsoft security products. Some of the features I really particularly like include:

Real-time threat protection: The ability to detect and respond to malware and other cyber threats in near real-time, which helps to minimize the risk of a successful attack.

Automatic updates: The solution automatically receives updates and new features, which helps ensure that it stays up-to-date with the latest threats.

Cloud-based management: The ability to manage the solution and monitor the security of devices from a central location, which can save time and resources for IT teams.

Integration with other Microsoft products: The ability to integrate with other Microsoft security products such as Azure Active Directory and Microsoft Intune, which can help to provide a comprehensive security solution for businesses.

Additionally, Microsoft Defender ATP is well-liked by its users as it provides a single pane of glass to view security across endpoints, identities, and applications. It also provides robust threat hunting and investigation capabilities which helps security teams to detect and investigate advanced threats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Defender for Business?

As with any technology product, Microsoft Defender for Business has some limitations and areas where users may have complaints. Some of the common issues that I may have with the solution include:

Limited platform support: It primarily supports Windows and macOS, and does not support Linux or other platforms.

False positives: Some users may experience false positives, where legitimate software or files are incorrectly identified as malware.

High system requirements: Microsoft Defender for Business requires a high-spec machine for it to run smoothly which may not be possible for all the systems.

Limited customizability: Some users may find the solution to be inflexible and difficult to customize to their specific needs.

Limited reporting and analytics: Some users may find that the reporting and analytics capabilities of the solution are limited, and do not provide the level of detail or visibility that they require. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
