Microsoft Defender for Business is an excellent endpoint security solution that provides advanced threat protection and a centralized dashboard for security management. What problems is Microsoft Defender for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before we started using this product, we faced challenges with detecting and responding to advanced threats, such as fileless attacks and zero-day exploits. These threats are difficult to detect and can cause significant damage if left unchecked.

With Microsoft Defender for Business, we now have an advanced threat protection solution that uses machine learning and artificial intelligence to detect and respond to these types of threats. The product's EDR and advanced hunting capabilities have been particularly beneficial in this regard, allowing us to quickly identify and respond to threats before they can cause significant damage.

Additionally, the centralized dashboard provides excellent visibility into our security posture, allowing us to quickly identify potential vulnerabilities and take corrective action. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It also provides robust threat hunting and investigation capabilities which helps security teams to detect and investigate advanced threats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Defender for Business?

As with any technology product, Microsoft Defender for Business has some limitations and areas where users may have complaints. Some of the common issues that I may have with the solution include:

Limited platform support: It primarily supports Windows and macOS, and does not support Linux or other platforms.

False positives: Some users may experience false positives, where legitimate software or files are incorrectly identified as malware.

High system requirements: Microsoft Defender for Business requires a high-spec machine for it to run smoothly which may not be possible for all the systems.

Limited customizability: Some users may find the solution to be inflexible and difficult to customize to their specific needs.

Limited reporting and analytics: Some users may find that the reporting and analytics capabilities of the solution are limited, and do not provide the level of detail or visibility that they require. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft Defender for Business?

+ Their Endpoint is one of the best, protecting your pc from harmful viruses. And its Microsoft, so trust is always there.

+ I have also found need not to purchase any third party antivirus software! However, if you are in financial services, use third party too.

+ Smartphone's app, devices and windows are all synced automatically and work well. All your windows devices are holistically protected. It also blocks harmful links automatically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Defender for Business?

+ It annoys me when it asks for the auth login again and triggers are failing, and sometimes even legitimate websites are blacklisted. It is a time waster. Older computers or older software might also slow down. + limited features like active malware thwarts and general scanning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Defender for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?

+ Enpoint firewall for secure browsing and preventing threats

+ Web control / category-based URL blocking has worked wonders.

+ Conditional access is really working good for the other people. so we control the access to whoever PCs are given. so less mess with your PC. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
