"Secure Access, But Needs User-Friendly Console"
4/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Entra ID?

I like Microsoft Entra ID for its seamless integration with hybrid Active Directory and its strong security features. Single sign-on makes managing identities simple, and features like conditional access and multi-factor authentication protect accounts and reduce risks, which is critical for remote and hybrid work. It makes managing user access easy and secure, allowing for smooth login across cloud and on-prem systems without major integration issues. It is useful for simplifying and securing identity and access management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Entra ID?

Error reporting needs improvement, and the console feels complex. Making it more user-friendly and reducing errors would create a much better experience. Connecting Microsoft Entra ID with some legacy apps can be tricky, as older systems sometimes need extra configuration. Going hybrid with Entra ID is more complex, and you’ll need an expert for hybrid configuration—without one, it’s very hard to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized Identity and Access Management with Strong Security Controls"
4/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Entra ID?

Microsoft Entra ID provides a very robust and centralized identity and access management solution. It integrates seamlessly with Azure services and the broader Microsoft ecosystem, which makes user and access management much easier. Features like Single SignOn, Conditional Access, and Multi-Factor Authentication are powerful and reliable, and they significantly improve security without adding too much friction for users.

User and group management is straightforward, and integration with third-party applications is simple through built-in connectors. Overall, it’s a solid and mature platform for managing identities at scale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Entra ID?

Some configurations, especially around Conditional Access and advanced security policies, can be complex and not always intuitive at first. Licensing can also be confusing, as certain features are spread across different plans, making it harder to understand what is included without careful review. Troubleshooting authentication or access issues can sometimes take longer than expected due to limited visibility in error messages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable Authentication; Needs Better Cross-Platform Support"
4/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Entra ID?

I use Microsoft Entra ID for client authentication in internal projects because it offers easy and quick access through users' Microsoft accounts along with a promising authentication service. It eliminates the need for other paid tools and ensures faster, safer, and more reliable authentication. I particularly like its reliability and security, as we have never encountered authentication holes, and our clients have never complained about security issues. Additionally, when used together with SharePoint, Microsoft Entra ID works wonders by ensuring total authentication based on the user's group. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Entra ID?

So we faced problem when we used it with Vite & React. The handshake couldn't be completed so it was kind of tough to implement it with such projects. So sometimes it can be very complicated to implement it in some projects that are not based out of the Microsoft ecosystem. If they can improve their libraries and ensure that developers can use it easily, would be the best. Even an improved documentation and a quick walkthrough would be really a gamechanger for the developers to adopt it. Easy with Microsoft ecosystem products, tougher with the non-Microsoft entities. 5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Entra ID?

What I appreciate most about Microsoft Entra ID is the ease it brings to secure access. Its seamless integration with Microsoft 365 and other applications ensures that managing identities is both dependable and straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Entra ID?

One aspect I find frustrating about Microsoft Entra ID is that its advanced features tend to be complicated to set up, and accessing them often necessitates purchasing higher-tier licenses. Additionally, troubleshooting issues related to access or Conditional Access policies can be quite time-consuming, particularly when dealing with large-scale or hybrid environments. What do you like best about Microsoft Entra ID?

What I like best about Microsoft Entra ID is its centralized identity and access management combined with strong security features. It makes user account management, onboarding, and offboarding efficient, while Single Sign-On (SSO) reduces login issues and help desk tickets. Features like Multi-Factor Authentication and Conditional Access enhance security without overly complicating daily support tasks. Additionally, detailed sign-in logs and audit trails make troubleshooting faster and more effective, allowing me to resolve user issues quickly and accurately. What do you dislike about Microsoft Entra ID?

What I dislike about Microsoft Entra ID is the complexity of configuration and licensing. Some features, such as Conditional Access and advanced security settings, can be difficult to understand for new administrators and often require higher-tier licenses, which can be confusing for users and support staff. Troubleshooting hybrid environments or sync issues with Entra Connect can also be time-consuming, and error messages are not always very clear, making issue resolution more challenging for help desk engineers. "Streamlined Integration with a Powerhouse of Features"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Entra ID?

I like how Microsoft Entra ID offers a lot of functionality within a single environment, avoiding the mishmash of different products and vendors, which helps with support issues. The centralized sync with Active Directory makes maintaining users easy, and it's great for maintaining security across Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, email, and other areas since everything is part of the same ecosystem. The integration for third-party authentication and single sign-on is something I appreciate, providing a seamless and secure user experience with one account across all systems. Additionally, the AD Sync Tools made the initial setup straightforward, enabling us to get up and running quickly. Its integration with networking for VPN, certificate login, security keys, and passwordless login are also features that really work well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Entra ID?

Some of the documentation is behind on the changes. Using the learn sites often refers to menus that are different, which makes you think a little more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless, Secure Identity Management with Powerful Integration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Entra ID?

Microsoft Entra ID provides a seamless and highly secure identity management experience. Its Single Sign-On (SSO) capabilities significantly streamline user access across multiple applications, reducing friction for end users while enhancing security. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and passwordless authentication add an additional layer of protection without compromising usability. The platform integrates well with other Microsoft and third-party services, making it highly flexible for enterprise environments. Additionally, the user provisioning and governance tools allow for efficient lifecycle management of accounts, saving time and reducing administrative overhead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Entra ID?

While Microsoft Entra ID is powerful, its initial setup and configuration can be complex for organizations new to Microsoft’s ecosystem. Some advanced features, such as conditional access policies or privileged access management, require a deep understanding to configure optimally. Documentation is comprehensive but occasionally scattered, which can lead to a learning curve for administrators. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure and User-Friendly with Stellar Documentation"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Entra ID?

I really like the security features of Microsoft Entra ID, particularly how it allows for a single database to authenticate users while adhering to local AD strategies like password length and complexity. The availability of documentation is another plus for me, as it simplifies setup and configuration that would otherwise be time-consuming due to a lack of guidance. The setup process was also very easy, thanks in part to the comprehensive documentation available. I appreciate that I can use Microsoft Entra ID to authenticate third-party applications, which adds an extra layer of convenience and security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Entra ID?

The single issue I've been struggling with is that when you disable/re-enable a user, it loses the membership of the groups it belongs to. The admin needs to remove the user from the group synced with the third-party application, wait for the synchronization, and put the user back again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized IT Hub with Easy Setup"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Entra ID?

I find Microsoft Entra ID very helpful as it serves as our portal for everything related to IT. I like that it allows me to group users into groups for email or distribution lists, and I can make a change on a PC or desktop. Having control of the environment from within Entra is very beneficial, especially being able to see if devices need updates or patching. The ability to recover a Bitlocker key to the PC is also a significant advantage. The initial setup process was easy, and overall, I would rate it highly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Entra ID?

I don't like the need to switch from Microsoft Entra ID to other portals like Teams and Exchange instead of having them contained within the platform itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
