What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

As a developer, I have worked with a many code editor but VS code is my personal favorite choice. Its User-friendly interface is very helpful when we are developing a big project.

Also, VS code provides many extensions for different languages and different tasks that can improve our productivity. The ability to customize my workspace with themes and extensions allows me to create a personalized development environment that is perfect for my needs.

VS Code is an open-source project, and the level of Customer support it receives from both Microsoft and its community is remarkable. VS code is easy to implement with a wide range of other services like database, accessing a remote server etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

VS Code has a vast amount of advantages:

0. Effective even with zero configuration.

1. Configurability - relatively simple to install and even create addons.

2. Constantly evolving and being improved.

3. Developers are very responsive in their repository issue page, providing effective support.

4. Free and open source.

5. Relatively light on your system.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

In some ways, it isn't up to par with its main competitor for web development (Webstorm).

For example, navigating between packages from your package.json in Javascript projects, running scripts and managing SQL databases and a few more.

What do you like best about Visual Studio?

First of all, the overall design that makes coding a pleasant experience. Terminal can be placed on the footer or sidebar. Visual display of interpreter versus terminal can be easily adjusted. The web version of Visual Studio though the most convenient to access across devices is slow at times and does not include all the powerful features of the desktop version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Whether it is working on Flask environment on the top of Python as part of web application or just crafting simple HTML pages, Visual Studio is my choice of IDE. Even Edx from where I keep enrolling for new tutorials and courses uses Visual Studio. So it is very convenient. Needless to say Visual Studio by Microsoft is perhaps the most advanced IDE that is updated frequently. Visual Studio is perfect IDE to leverage fresh AI capabilities with plugins like Tabnine.
