VS Code is the OG in my opinion there is a lot of features every version (around every 1 month or so).
It's really easy to customize and the short keys are incredible, even when using other IDEs I always choose the option to import the VS code short keys as they really easy to remember.
One more thing I really love about it comparing to other IDEs - it is super lightweight! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
2 really bad thing I've encountered:
1. It is really difficult to generate test config even after watching several tutorials still did not succeed to create one that actually work.
2. the need to restart the IDE for every extension update - driving me crazy! for their defense, I'd say lately it happens a lot less. even though it's quick it's annoying. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Best thing about Visual Studio Code is how easy and simple it is to customise according to our needs. Also it works with different coding enviroments whether its for front end development or backend development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The one thing annoys is that when working with a heavy code and too many extentions VS code gets a bit slow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The intellisense of visual studio is amazing and very helpful.
And the feasibility to write code is fantastic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It gets in to not responding mode when we load more projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use VS Code for programming in web dev environment. FTP clients like WinSCP and FileZilla work with standard text editor. Not ideal. Visual Studio has a SFTP extension that lets me easily connect to my server.
The syntax highlighting, quick shortcut, file managing, and all is quite easy. Love it. As a programmer the dark UI, and the overall tools are quite helpful.
In addition, I really love how they are able to open same file in parralel to access different sections of code. Split screen to access and read multiple files side by side is real cool.
Autosave is a blessing for every one! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I hate the File Transfer capabilities. While I can easily ACCESS files and code them. I cannot easily UPLOAD files.
There is no extensions or core support to upload files to my server via their SFTP capabilities. In addition, I observe their uploading speed/performance is slightly inferior, though still comparable to conventional FTP clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The integrated development environment is the most important for me and cross-platform development is also really important. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The complexity and learning curve are sometimes overwhelming, and the pricing model is complex for the people who are going to make decisions about managing the infrastructure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

First is the being light weight of the code editor but still powerful with the help of extension. You can throw any programming language and code like a pro of course with the help of extension. 2nd is themming setup it environment according to your taste. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
highly depentend on the extension. some of the extension release latest version with bug you need some googling which version to install that has less bug.
also, i don't found extension function like intellisense of phpstorm which has ability to suggest funtion from imported/extended class which in different file. this may also experience in other language not only in php. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

* It is cross-platform - I can use it on Windows, macOS, and Linux. This is a major compelling feature. My team and I have used many IDEs and editors in the past, e.g., Visual Studio Professional/Enterprise, XCode, Notepad++, TextMate, all kinds of things - it is terrific to have a product we can use across any operating system.
* It synchronises settings across all your machines, irrespective of operating system.
* It is lean and fast to start up. I used to dread when I'd double-click on an XML file only to have to wait while (say) Visual Studio or XCode would start up. Visual Studio Code is lean and fast and opens quickly.
* It offers many, many plug-ins for all kinds of advanced functionality too - Python, PowerShell, BASH, text formatting, Azure, SQL Server ... it's brilliantly performant and highly-customisable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It favours text commands and JSON config files heavily, over a GUI. So any config changes are made through these JSON files which can make it difficult to know what you can change, where to change it, and even how to change it.
Then, with all the great plug-ins and add-ons you can get, that's even more text-based config changes.
Sometimes the add-ons don't even start properly and you have to restart Visual Studio Code several times.
There's a lot of power, but it's not without complexity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It UI is very good and it is very easy to use so beginner can also use it very easily.
Its auto completion feature is just amazing and also it has many extensions that can be installed easily and these extensions are very helpful while writing code.
I use it daily during my office time for developing software and writing code.
It has mutli language support so that we can use same editor for writing code in different languages.
It can be easily integrated with C++ compiler, node.js, java, python, etc.
I use it for writing code of frontend in react.js, angular as well for writing backend code in Django, node.js, etc.
Its customer support in just awesome.
Ease of Implementation is very code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is not good for machine learning and deep learning as compared to juypter notebook.
Also for coding in python pycham is better than visual code.
Its size is large. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Azure DevOps is a Complete bundle to push the code build to production, including the builds/production code with versioning, Bug, User story, and access rights, all very well segregated.
This platform is great for assigning a new user story to make a task and assigning bugs. The process is complete and easy to integrate with GitHub. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not much i could say however the azure dashboard takes too long to load/ refresh . Although Azure has a complete package of multiple functionality , the smooth user interface / experience is missing. the user story is not very clear. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
