What do you like best about Azure Web App for Containers?

If you "follow the manual" it's really easy to set up a new container, or re-use an existing (docker) container. It works almost just out-of-the-box-like. If you know your way around in azure, you have all the tools available to manage and monitor containers. There is not really anything else to say... containers are a well defined thing in IT, and azure handles it like a first citizen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Web App for Containers?

It gets difficult if you need to expose a container only internally because now you're dependent on VPN and gateways within azure. It's not too complex per se, but every piece of functionality within azure seems "hidden", which keeps you searching for it over and over again. If azure is something you work in 100% of the day, every day of the year, this should be no problem. But I think that "knowing your way around" should not be the most difficult part of any learning curve. Even if you have no connections between your container and any other azure module, it's a search for "where the heck was it again". Every single time over and over again. What problems is Azure Web App for Containers solving and how is that benefiting you?

The main function of using containers within our organization is to be able to have a well defined and easy to maintain boundary around some functionality. For instance, we use graylog as a logging server, but maintenance of graylog can be hard. It needs its dedicated unix server, and configuration is complex. A container makes it easier to update, make backup copies and define a working configuration that you can re-use. Normally the use of a container introduces just a new environment with its own complexities (a server that you need to maintain, monitoring, expertise etc). As such, those complexities can outweigh the goal that you like to achieve, which was reducing complexity. With azure you can eliminate the complexities of maintaining containers, which makes it suddenly a more viable option for a legion of other possible container candidates. I like how easy it is to share files between collegues/clients from different companies who may not have the same programs that your company does. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Web App for Containers?

I think that this program could make it easy to decifer what it is. I got an inviatation from a collegue, and has never heard of this app before, so I almost thought it was spam. I reached out to my collegue seperatly and she told me what it was. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Azure Web App for Containers solving and how is that benefiting you?

Problems that I am solving include finding an easy way to share files without going back and forth not being to access other clients files because of company restrictions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Azure Container Registry?

Azure container for me is a totally different service to any storage system, it seems to me a totally useful tool because it has other extra tools to keep the information in the cloud totally safe, in a totally economic system easy to use and also not it is necessary to have a prior knowledge to understand how the system works everything is intuitive and technical support is always there to collaborate, the cloud is completely comprehensive and it is not necessary to maintain a security filter because you already have it in your system I love it because I am sure and my information is in order. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Container Registry?

I find it somewhat annoying to be constantly updating the system or the application in order to eliminate errors, it seems to me that it is necessary to find a viable solution to carry out individual updating to eliminate errors permanently, although it can be complicated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Azure Container Registry:

I recommend it because it worked very well and the solutions they provide are totally favorable to the client, their tools are not only the cloud is interesting and it allows me to try it for a long time of 12 months, it seems to me excellent services that demonstrate quality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Azure Container Registry solving and how is that benefiting you?

The company found itself with a lot of information, especially in the marketing area, with so much advertising, images, campaigns, service and it was necessary to look for a solution where all this information could be stored without being lost or stolen, that's why I decided on Azure for a solution to be able to use as a cloud service which has been working well. What do you like best about Azure Container Registry?

It is a good repository that is very intuitive and very useful when working, the registration process is very basic and it is not necessary to have as much experience to use it, it also shows the steps in detail, it is fantastic and it works without problems, and also the others Azure services are good, that is, it has all the features required in your Azure access control. Complete and useful tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Container Registry?

Nothing really everything is fine, although the only point that bothers me is the amount of updates constantly, they are always annoying, but in general the user experience has been excellent and as expected from this great tool, I just hope they make improvements, to be the best of all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Azure Container Instances?

Azure Container Instances allows you to instantly create a secure container for development use - without the need for virtual machines. This allows you to run any instances that can operate in isolated containers. These have many advantages over standard virtual machines.

Positives:

- Much faster to start than virtual machines

- Minimal provisioning/management needed compared to virtual machines

- Security - isolated to a hypervisor level Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Container Instances?

- Running a constant 24 hours a day instance on the platform is much more expensive than running a virtual machine instance 24/7

- User interface isn't always the most intuitive - relatively new service so some sub-context menus aren't quite logical yet

However, this is a great service and I think that the positives outweigh the negatives, especially with MS Azure's superb customer/client relations team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Azure Container Instances:

Have a play around with the software before getting specialist help from Azure. This is the best way you can gain experience from ACI since different users may have different use cases depending. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Azure Container Instances solving and how is that benefiting you?

Deploying a container is SO much faster than deploying a virtual machine. This significantly reduces downtime since virtual machine often require a lot of management from the admin side. This saves time and business cost. However bear in mind that containers are more expensive to run (generally) than their virtual machine usage equivalents so whilst you may be saving time and money in some areas containers generally cost more, particularly when you are running them 24 hours a day. We have not had problems that make us change our mind and stop using it, until now it has been pleasant to use, it does not present any type of failures, and it is very strange since this type of tool usually comes defective, but with Azure Container Registry, there is no fault. What do you like best about Azure Container Registry?

We chose to remain with Azure Container Registry due to its fluidity and ease of use, in addition to being flexible and with an intuitive interface, it is excellent and breaks the difference between other similar services that we have tried, when creating a container the functions are clear, and it was Simply selecting the location, and adding a docker image, and it worked correctly, is one of the few services that are worthwhile. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Container Registry?

At the moment, it works very well, but sometimes some irregularities occur, and we believe that due to its interface that occasionally makes it slow, therefore, we do not have much to complain about, but you should keep in mind that some functions are somewhat confusing , and it would be excellent if they added a little more instructions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Azure Container Registry:

This is a good service for which it is worth paying, in addition its implementation is simple, it works correctly as a hosting for your docker images, I totally recommend it for all companies looking for a service as good as this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We get good results, avoiding problems with the images, we use the container registry in Azure and we get a large hosting space for all the coupled images of the company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
