What do you like best about Microsoft Azure?

1. One of the key points (some people might not agree) is how Azure allows us to distribute objects. We can create n number of resource groups and differentiate them based on the role/purpose of objects.

2. Insights provided for each service are pretty detailed

3. Cost of services, VMs, etc. are better compared to competitors

4. Vast knowledge bank Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Azure?

1. Again this is based on my experience - sometimes the support that is assigned to the ticket is not upto the mark. The escalation engineer does not possess the skillset to troubleshoot the issue.

2. Key drawback - we can't scale up the disk without detaching. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Azure solving and how is that benefiting you?

Well, here I would like to talk bout Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS). No more headaches of a self-managed cluster. With a click, we get all servers and everything ready.

As master nodes are managed internally by Azure, we need to just manage worker/user pools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft Azure?

Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) and Face API. I love how they documented all things on their documentation site. Whenever I want to try a new service on Azure, I just go to the documentation and read it from start to end. It solves all my problems. They wrote down great examples and tutorials with it. What problems is Microsoft Azure solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps me to solve the scalability of my application. I'm using their Azure Function service to run serverless APIs on it. Now there is no need to manage servers myself. it's auto-scalable and you can choose the compute capacity of your own choice. I can deploy it easily from my local machine for testing purposes and in production, there are very amazing tools to manage the deployments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The use of PowerShell, I'm more of a bash guy but many enterprises are asking for PowerShell as it's kind of the preferable choise for azure admins, though you can use bash but using two different scripting language for the same work doens't seem very good approach Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft Azure?

The user interface for Microsoft products is extremely user-friendly. If we get stuck on a critical issue, they help us out and fix it quickly. When you read the legal agreement that covers Azure's services, you'll notice that the uptime guarantee you're offered is 99.95 percent. Over the course of a year, that translates to around 4.5 hours of downtime in real-time hours. For the same price as Azure, comparable services from competing brands offer uptime percentages of 98 percent, 95 percent, and occasionally as low as 90 percent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Azure?

Microsoft Azure has 54 regions worldwide, with availability in 140 countries when all announced regions are included. You're all set if you live in the United States, Europe, Australia, India, Japan, or China. Your company can benefit from quick data access. However, if you live in South America, you will only have access to one region, which is known as "Brazil South." Africa has two announced regions, but none are operational as of yet. Canada has only two regions, both of which are located in the country's east. If there isn't a nearby region, speed becomes an issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Azure:

They claim the cloud isn't a one-size-fits-all solution. It's true because every company will have its unique set of issues. And not all firms will be in a position to completely transition to the cloud. While other systems suffer because users must either migrate to them or stop using them altogether, Microsoft Azure benefits from its hybrid strategy. Meaning, you may use Microsoft Azure to create hybrid infrastructures in which your resources are partially hosted in the cloud and partially run on-premises. As a result, you are protected from costly workarounds. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Azure solving and how is that benefiting you?

The hardware issue has been rectified by Microsoft Azure. It enables us to scale the environment up and down while also saving money. It guarantees a 99 percent healing rate. When all of the discrepancies are resolved, we will be able to restore all of the servers with minimal downtime. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
