What do you like best about Microsoft Application Virtualization?

The best thing about this product is being able to share with users the business applications that we offer without having to install it on their computers, avoiding software or system compatibility problems and at the same time having a faster and more agile process when accessing the resources. I would say that how complex your initial configuration can be, that is what I like least since at first it was tedious to carry out the configuration, but in the end everything worked as expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft Application Virtualization?

The things I personally like best are that MAV supports a wide range of applications and application types. It's also very capable of delivering to a wide variety of endpoints with few restrictions such as driver. It's also super easy when comes to deployment. Free trial is great. What do you dislike about Microsoft Application Virtualization?

The main issue that I have is that publishing refresh on a specific computer takes much longer than expected and if the client is configured. Also, the fact that users cannot connect to the server and go into disconnected operations mod. A non-valid certificate will prevent users from connecting and will cause them to go into disconnected operations mode. Not many reasons not to try it out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft Application Virtualization?

The company I work for can give me new chances with this app, I would love to contribute to the community that Microsoft creates because a co-worker of mine used this and he gave me the complete and honest feedback, and i have to say that i was impressed. I agree that there are many new things to create for the new and upcoming updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Application Virtualization?

The amount of notifications that it send me to remind me of my projects, and when my friends and employers tell me what happened it confuses me because I don't understand everything yet. However some of the programs inside don't allow me to use them because my processor is too slow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft Application Virtualization?

First of all I really like that it is a tool that allows us to install and centrally administer dedicated applications, so that you can limit or parameterize access to it, it also has a separate interface with which you can follow up on the accesses that the application has had. I like that being services that are not installed locally, any conflict with other applications or with the data that is found locally is avoided, in addition to allowing us to run different versions of the application simultaneously, as a comparison. It is a platform that offers an experience very similar to what you can offer with a locally installed tool. And finally I really like that being a tool offered by Microsoft, allows us to have an incredible support and community, at the time of any problem, sometimes the intervention of technical support is not necessary to solve. What do you dislike about Microsoft Application Virtualization?

It is difficult to find something wrong the truth, the only thing that can be added is that it is a complex tool that well needs to be managed and controlled by a person who has very good knowledge in the area since if not, the integrity of the applications and the data itself, if there is no support. What do you like best about Microsoft Application Virtualization?

Present the application quickly and easily to users;

Run the application through streaming through the AppV Server, dispensing the local installation on the machines;

Use 2 incompatible software on the same computer;

Update an application through the server, without having to configure clients by clients;

Control the use of software by license. For example: Enable only 10 users to use the application simultaneously or link a software to a specific group or user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Application Virtualization?

Like any virtualized solution, you need a connection, if this connection is not of a quality, the service can be compromised. It is not a "counter" to the solution, but to everything that is virtualized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
