I’ve experimented with several takeoff tools, but this one stands out for its user-friendly design. It streamlines my work, making everything quicker and more enjoyable! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This product offers excellent value for the price! I’d love to know if there’s a way to embed the takeoff summary directly into the PDF drawing. Overall, though, it’s a fantastic tool! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I tried many softwares before in doing takeoff, but this one is very user friendly. This makes my job faster, easier and enjoyable. Also if you have questions - there is a tutorial link on the application that you can watch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's a great product for its price. I wish to see if there's a way I can put the takeoff summary inside the PDF drawing itself? But overall, this is a brilliant product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Methvin is an exceptional cost estimation software that I highly recommend. This software provides a robust and user-friendly platform that allows users to easily and accurately estimate the costs of construction projects.
One of the features that I really appreciate about Methvin is its flexibility. The software allows for customization of the cost estimate templates, which means users can tailor their estimates to specific project requirements. This makes the software adaptable to various types of projects, making it an excellent choice for contractors, engineers, architects, and other professionals. Methvin has a few potential limitations. The software is paid, may have a learning curve, and offers limited support options. Users require a stable internet connection to access the cloud-based software, and customization options could be limited for complex projects. Despite these limitations, Methvin remains an excellent cost estimation software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- It's a user-friendly interface making it easy for not so "tech-friendly" people
- The "option" of sharing your work online with your team members and being able to make live changes adds value to this suite's importance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- One can not use it offline.
- It must include uploading Cad files and converting them to pdfs. Similarly, options for adjusting measured area and tools like "pan" should be present.
- I noticed the missing "labor hours" in the pricing section. I think that's essential in the pricing of any construction project.
- I also didn't find the option to measure pitch. (If I haven't missed that) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Gantt bidding program is easy to use, reasonably accurate, and speedy. If you require a precise and quick bidding program with the Gantt chart, it is comparable to MS Project and Primavera P6. To any project manager who needs to monitor the development of their project, I would suggest it.
The building estimation application is straightforward & easy to comprehend. All you have to do is change the pricing to the market's current trend. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are almost no downsides to using Methvin! I highly recommend this program to anyone estimating massive projects for more accessible and cost-effective output. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a user of Methvin's construction takeoff software, I am extremely impressed with its features and functionality. Firstly, the user interface is incredibly intuitive, making it easy to navigate and use. In addition, the software comes with a comprehensive set of tools and features that allow for precise measurements and calculations, making it an essential tool for anyone in the construction industry.
One of the most significant benefits of the software is its ability to import local files such as MS Projects, making it easy to integrate into existing workflows. The software also allows for exporting to various formats, such as Excel, PDF, and MS, ensuring compatibility with other software and applications.
The online collaboration feature is another standout feature of the software. This feature enables teams to work together on projects, which is critical in today's remote working environment. The ability to read DWG and DXF files is also a significant plus, making it easy to work with different file types.
Overall, I highly recommend Methvin's construction takeoff software to anyone in the construction industry. Its user-friendly interface, a comprehensive set of tools and features, and online collaboration capability make it an essential tool for any construction project. Certainly. As a user of Methvin's construction takeoff software, I must say that while it has some excellent features, there are also some significant drawbacks that make it less than ideal for certain users. One of the most significant limitations of the software is its lack of support for certain file types. While it can read DWG and DXF files, it does not support some other popular file types, which can be frustrating for users who work with these file types regularly.
Another issue with the software is that some of its features are not as robust as those found in other similar software. For example, the software lacks essential measuring commands like the pan and zoom function, full plan view function, measuring curvilinear lines, and snap and ortho functions. It also lacks the ability to edit, add, or delete points after measuring, which can be a significant limitation for some users.
The software's Gantt project management tool is also less robust than some other project management tools available in the market. While it is helpful, it lacks certain features like the ability to track changes and updates, which can make project management more challenging.
Lastly, while the software's online collaboration feature is a plus, it may not be ideal for users who prefer to work offline or who have slow internet connectivity.
Overall, Methvin's construction takeoff software has some excellent features, but it also has some significant drawbacks that may make it less than ideal for some users. The lack of support for certain file types, limited measuring commands, and less robust project management tools are all issues that the developers should address in future updates. I have explored very vigorously the on-screen take-off tool developed by your company. For the reviewing process, I have analyzed all the drawings (Piling, Drainage, Concrete Structure, Earthwork, Pavements), tables, tools, and interfaces in the on-screen take-off tool. Overall, you have developed a perfect application that is comprehensive, covers almost all aspects of the project, and is also very user-friendly.
The following are specific observations regarding the tool;
Excellent Characteristics of Application
• Very simple and flexible tools with a user-friendly interface
• Ability to share the project details/update anyone with a simple email
• Ability to easily export an Excel file of take-off material and pdf drawings.
• Very user-friendly take-off sheet, cost estimate and bid report creation with customization option.
• Working Drawings can easily be uploaded by simple browsing & drag-drop option
• Support manual is easy accessible Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Needs improvements/modifications
• Undo and Re-do commands may be incorporated with buttons like Control+R and Control+Z so that one may easily make amendments/updates/changes.
• Similarly, after removing the particular property from the drawing, the same could not be removed from the take-off table. The same should be automatically removed with the deletion of the property.
• Advanced intelligent tools like giving an option for reading & measuring the areas from tabulated figures may be added, esp. for cut & fill areas.
• An option may be added for providing legends (Like which area & color represents what)
• Drawings could not be exported in pdf. The same may be checked and updated in the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is not nothing for dislike so it wonderful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very impressive Easy to learn and use with very presentable tools for construction meetings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Overall software is good but it can be more presentable by adding more format and colors and design options Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The functions and tools are user-friendly and easily visualized. I specifically like the schedule updating function, which is pretty straightforward. This is at par with the commonly used software, e.g., MS Project and P6, but less intimidating, hence, beginner friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Generating various automated reports is one of the many areas for improvement that Methvin can look into. However, a readily updated Gantt chart, which cognizant visualizes the project's status and task, should suffice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
