Mesh Payments Pros and Cons

Very easy to track monthly payments.

Can easily get budget permissions through the portal instead of sending multiple emails for approval.

What I like the best is how you can connect the card to the receipts so they get uploaded automatically each month instead of having to do it manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Great customer support whenever I have needed to contact them, and generally easy to make online payments and in-person payments with the linked card.

The only limitations here, which can be confusing for UK merchants, is that this is signature based rather than PIN based (Yes, I get the occasionally funny look). The card is all black, so there is no visible signature to verify.

There are also merchants and payment providers who do not accept this type of card online, though they are few and far between. Some charge an additional fee (seems highly suspect) for using a VISA Business card, or 'pre-paid' card also, which hasn't been ideal when needed.

Sometimes creating a new card for each expense can get a bit tedious if managing mulptiple teams, also needing to raise card limits for small things that the employees did not take into account like sales tax or fees can be a bit annoying. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It makes managing payments while traveling to visit customers very easy and seamless, especially with Apple Pay being so prominent I've never run into an issue where a merchant can not accept my card. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I am an avid user of mesh and have been super happy with their ease of use. I am able to set-up credit cards from a group budget - making it easy to track expenses and report it back to finance. For example, I can pay for different online tools in serparate credit cards and track recurring charges or changes in subscription fees. I also really like the ability to send receipts, Mesh allows you to send receipts or other documents related to the transaction via email and it will automatically tag each expense. Its like magic. What I like the most about the Mesh Paymeys is the ease of set up. Once set up it happens monthly without any issue. All I had to do as a user is input my receipt and it's accepted by the finance department. What I also like is that it notifies me on my email and also on my phone. The only downside I would say is that sometimes tha upload receipt needs to be done twice on the phone. But what I do is make sure I'm logged in and not trying to upload the reciept via the push notification. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- Having the ability to pair the card with a physical card has been great during business trips.

- I haven't had any issues using either the physical or virtual cards anywhere.

- For budgets with a hard limit, like stipends, it can take some organization to use the amount if your purchase is over the remaining balance. I'm not sure if it would be possible to create a feature where you could add a personal card that could cover any portion of a transaction that goes above a specific budget. So, so easy to use and report charges. As soon as you make a charge, you get an email from Mesh that you can reply right back to with the receipt, and boom, done. Everything magically goes where it needs to go to make accounting happy and for me not to have any more admin work associated with the charge. The way we do it at our company is we have a separate Mesh card per vendor or expense so we have to get a new one spun up for new items, but it is pretty fast. So I guess, not much I don't like.
