**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge has an excellent API for ATS integrations. Instead of integrating with every ATS, we can use merge to integrate with all of them using a single API.
Merge's level of service and responsiveness is unprecedented.
It's an absolute pleasure working with Merge!

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Nothing, we have been working with Merge for over a year and got only good words to say about Merge.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of integrating with every ATS, we use merge to integrate with all of them using a single API.
This saves us a lot of time both understanding each and every ATS API and also implementing their specific API.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge has helped us develop a quick copy-and-paste template to have a handful of endpoints replicated across 20+ different HRIS integrations. The ability to debug connections and supply information about what data has passed through via their web interface is excellent and continues to improve! With Merge, once we had built one HRIS connection, we could enable any other one in less than a day. And the Merge team is always just an instant message away with any helpful tips or answers to questions; I can't wait to see what they release next!

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Not many downsides, but we would always love to see more integrations to help continue growing our business!

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge reduces the time it takes to develop new integrations and allows engineers to focus on other projects. When they do use Merge, the process is simplified and easily repeatable.

  ### 5. Enables seamless integration with most customer platforms and offers amazing customer support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher H. | Head of Account Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The seamless experience provided to our customers during onboarding. We help our customers sync data across HRIS and ATS platforms. There are dozens of vendors at play; this allows us to sell to a broader segment and unblocks us during onboarding. Our CSM is excellent at resolving issues quickly when we do have issues. They are also receptive to feedback and have been improving the reliability of the platform.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Better support documentation for using the dashboards and API testing tools. Making the guides easier to find and including a few practice examples of troubleshooting would be very helpful.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing a unified platform allows us to work with a broader segment of customers. Merge also cuts down on the time-to-market for many new features. This allows us to add value faster and to more customers.

  ### 6. Great product and awesome team!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley H. | VP of Customer Success, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The Merge team is fantastic to work with. They are always open to feedback and go the extra mile. They are also constantly evolving their product offerings.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Their logging could be more detailed and supportive of troubleshooting. We've been told they are working on this though!

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge makes integrating with HRIS systems simple.

  ### 7. An easy way to expand your integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew M. | Staff Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

There's a lot to like.

Their Common Data Model abstracts away the details when integrating with HRIS and Directory providers. It lets you quickly build consistent integrations with a variety of systems. When you start bumping into the limits of their models, they make it easy to see the raw data from the remote system. And if that still isn't enough, you can use their Passthrough Request API to make a specific API call without having to manage a second set of credentials.

The developer docs are very detailed, down to spelling out which data comes from which remote endpoint.

Their post-sales team (shout out to Kevin and Matt) has been great to work with. They're always quick to respond to questions and know the product inside and out.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

When you're debugging, it's hard to find the logs for a specific linked account. I'd love to see them improve the UX in that area.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Their Common Data Model gives allows you to build one integration and gain access to dozens of HRIS and Directory systems.

  ### 8. Excellent customer support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erin H. | Analytics Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The Merge API has allowed us to sync data for multiple customers in a consistent format regardless of the GL.

Working with the customer success team has been a great experience. They have spent a lot of time with us and answered any questions that we had.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

There's a bit of noise in issue notifications, particularly around bad API keys for tables that we aren't syncing.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creates a common data model across multiple GL platforms.

  ### 9. Exceptionally Useful and Great Customer Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patricia G. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge takes the headaches and complications out of using many many API's. You have all the benefits of integrating data from various platforms. But without and of the headaches of dealing with different data shapes. You never have to ask yourself what shape the data will be in. And you don't have to learn each individual platform to integrate. Huge time savings! Plus, their customer support is exceptionally competent. If you have a question or need help they are there for a moments notice.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

So far, there have been no downsides to using Merge. I would say that a downside of integrating with any API platform is in general dealing with that amount of data you have questions about the data itself. But even that, Merge helps simplify. You get to see what data has sync'd with Merge before it arrives at your platform.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge helps us with integrating with many API platforms. By using Merge with have one place to integrate with many platforms. It helps us be more productive in a short amount of time.

  ### 10. Quick spin up time, but slow to perfect

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kavin P. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge gets past the initial hurdles of authenticating and syncing data with other platforms, so we don't have to. Combined with quick customer support, this allows us to focus on delivering an integration to our customers.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

New integrations from Merge require further testing to be sufficient for a robust integration, so our momentum gains from developing fast are traded for time spent in QA.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge handles the authentication and the bulk of the data syncing when integrating with an ATS, which is work that needs to be done on a per-ATS basis, so having a unified data model speeds up our implementation time.

  ### 11. Greatly Expedites Integration Development

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge's unified API model enables us to support multiple end integrations while just developing against their single API. Developing against 1 API has dramatically expedited our ability to ship integrations to users and open up more market share. Also, Merge support is always quick to respond and extremely helpful! Lastly, they were very helpful in providing access to test instances so that we could validate the functionality.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Sometimes the unified model misses attributes that are uniquely important for a given integration, but this is an intrinsic shortcoming of any unified data model. I also think Merge could do better at tenanting linked accounts that share the same credentials instead of creating duplicate accounts or just one linked account shared amongst end users.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge solves the decision of where to allocate eng time to build integrations. Instead, we just make the single integration with the Merge unified API and get access to the rest.

  ### 12. Saves 100s of engineering hours

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lukas K. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

* reliable integrations
* fast support
* remote fields let you pull in custom fields from HRIS/CRM/...

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

* no ERP currency rate support yet (they're planning to add this soon though)

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

out of the box integrations that require little engineering effort to setup

  ### 13. Easiest way to integrate with HR Platforms

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Milo H. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Fantastic, well documented API's which are really easy to use.

Massive number of integrations available.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

It's definitely not cheapest option out there, but the developer experience and number of integrations available make it worth it!

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're a small startup, so don't have the resources to integrate with every HR platform out there. Merge provides us with one, easy-to-use unified API for connecting to pretty much any HR platform, saving us hundreds of hours of development work.

  ### 14. Merge amplifies our HRIS and ATS integration capabilities

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Will M. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge handles the heavy lifting of connecting to, parsing, and normalizing data from dozens of HRIS and ATS systems. This allows our small engineering team to focus on our product and how we use that data, rather than getting caught up in the mechanics and logistics. While these systems are moving targets, Merge's support team has been consistently helpful and responsive to any questions and issues (Shoutouts to Michelle!)

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Merge's common data model attempts to unify the shape of the data coming in from different systems. While this is great on paper, in practice it's not perfect; some HRIS systems will simply not support various fields, end users will have customized their configuration, etc. Depending on how you are planning to use the data, you may need to further process it. But let's be clear: this is still much easier coming through Merge than connecting to each system directly, and Merge is doing an impossible job very well.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge helps us connect to many different HRIS and ATS systems through a single unified integration method. This saves our team endless effort setting up and maintaining individual connections.

  ### 15. Merge helps you to focus on your business and growth

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter V. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge significantly simplifies integration with ATS by introducing a general model common to all ATS systems with support for all operations. It helps you to fully focus on your business value and less on the integration itself. Your business can rapidly grow in support of different ATS systems integration for basic scenarios.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Webhook support to get data changes from ATS systems ASAP is limited to a few ATS systems. On the other hand, Merge works closely with us to provide support and introduce new features based on our requirements 👍

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HireLogic solves modern hiring challenges on a platform that supports guided video interviews, machine learning-assisted candidate rankings, and AI-infused analytics. Merge helps us to introduce new ATS integrations to our product in days based on requirements from our clients. Clients will be able to seamlessly send position and candidate information to HireLogic, conduct and analyze interviews, and optionally send aggregated information back to ATS.

  ### 16. Merge does the hard integrations work so you can focus on your business

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott B. | Engineering Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge has done the difficult work of modeling integration records across a wide variety of platforms and then presents everything in a clean, easy-to-follow API. This means you can focus less on handling specific integrations and build on top of a solid foundation. API performance is everything you'd expect and above all, their support team is ready to answer very technical questions and find you the answer if they don't know it themselves.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Merge's read support is top-notch but their write support to 3rd-parties is still catching up (however they recently introduced changing ATS job stages, which is huge!).

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We don't want to be in the integration business, but we do need that data for our customers to have a better experience platform. Merge has saved us thousands of engineering hours by funneling a significant amount of 3rd parties into a single set of APIs for us to consume.

  ### 17. Merge is instrumental for our business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge allows our team to quickly get access to disparate sources that previously would've taken us ages to connect to.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Not much that we dislike about Merge at the moment.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need access to HR & Payroll integrations data as well as Accounting integrations and Merge makes it easy for us to get access.

  ### 18. Solid product with exceptional customer support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge really simplified integrating with HRIS platforms for us - once we had the integration with Merge set up, we really were able to support a wide variety of systems for our customers. Their customer success team is awesome - they are very responsive to help tickets, but also go above and beyond, having a weekly meeting with us to discuss any issues that have been raised.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Merge's product, while very good, is still a little immature. They have had some difficulty with some of their vendors, which causes a downstream effect on our customers. Generally, it's a tough problem, and I have a lot of sympathy for them, but there are definitely some opportunities to improve. We've also seen just a few growing pains from them related to scale.

The good news is that they have good enough customer support to handle these issues manually and help us out when we need it.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Without Merge, we'd need to integrate with a bunch of HRIS' one-by-one. That's both tedious and hard to maintain, and not really in the scope of our business. They also handle keeping documentation and instructions up-to-date, and handling errors and instability on our behalf.

  ### 19. Merge is life-changing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kara H. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The merge support team is unbelievably responsive and the service is incredibly reliable. The development pace is unmatched (always shipping new things that helps with our roadmap).

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

We would be willing to pay more on a fixed plan, but not with the annual commitment required with the enterprise plan (we had software trauma coming from a bad provider and didn't want to get locked into something that we wouldn't use) - would love some sort of a predictable monthly fee+ overage pricing model

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge makes my accounting integrations SEAMLESS. Without merge, you need to handle auth, get a ton of sandboxes, and go through the pain of going direct with accounting systems. With merge, they abstract out all of the headache of the integration while also providing the flexibility to hit the underlying api directly (which is critical when going deep with a connection). I cannot recommend them enough to folks building accounting integrations!

  ### 20. Merge is AMAZING

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Preston C. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

They let you scale integrations super quickly, they are very responsive, and they are pleasure to work with.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

There isn't anything that we dislike about MErge!

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge helps us build our ticketing integrations much more quickly than we could on our own. This helps us meet our customers' integration needs and stay competitive.

  ### 21. Unified API that allows me to focus on my business, not API connections

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan F. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

It's simple, I would have had to hire a team of developers to do what merge gives right out of the box. Easiest SaaS spend I've made in my business career.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

As of now, nothing. I just want them to keep growing their native connections on the HRIS side!

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use their HRIS API and it sends over people data every 6 hours. Our customers always have up to date data thanks to the API. It was a game changer!

  ### 22. Unified API with HRIS and ATS to help you focus in your core business

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User

**Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Clean and simple Unified API to integrate with tons of HRIS saving a lot of development time. A good admin UI that supports developers and implementation roles to debug issues and help customers. Great technical customer care service with quick turnaround on fixes.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

When you are trying to implement slightly different cases (like information related to companies or others) there might be limitations in the target systems. We have encountered some missing implementations that we could solve with passthrough and with the quick turnaround of the Merge development team.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integration with HRIS systems in a unified way saves tons of development hours. Easily debugging issues related to permissions, and missing data from the interface itself.

  ### 23. Makes integrating with third-parties a whole lot easier than it used to be!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emma M. | Operations Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The Merge team is SO responsive and helpful - fantastic customer support. Being able to add new integrations with minimal impact on our core product and feature development is a big win. Being able to monitor the API calls and view responses etc is also really helpful.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

The only thing I would really like is a feature so if an error code is returned eg 400 bad response, you can get email or slack alerts or something. Currently, if there is a problem we sometimes don't realise until our client reports it to us which isn't ideal. But knowing the rate at which Merge add new features I'm sure this will be coming soon!

**Recommendations to others considering Merge Unified:**

I would strongly recommend!

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We no longer have to divert our core development team away from our roadmap when we need a new integration. This is speeding up our new feature and other work delivery.

  ### 24. Merge: A catch-all solution that catches most

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roan S. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge provides a suite of functionality that addresses a lot of the pain points of adding new integrations. You don't need to worry about rate limits, combing through logs to find what sort of connection errors your users are experiencing, or writing connection steps for every tool under the sun. Couple this with one of the best support teams in the business, and Merge is an easy recommendation.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

I think that the permissions per integration could be made a little more visible (e.g. does the user have to be an admin of the tool, or a user with specific permissions, etc). My only other issues with Merge are issues with the underlying services (funny formatting in some API fields, etc.). Merge does a good job normalizing the data, but it's not totally hands-free. You definitely need to validate some of the data that comes back from real-world users.

**Recommendations to others considering Merge Unified:**

Don't be hesitant to ask questions. The team at Merge is very knowledgeable and can help you past any stumbling blocks you might encounter.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adding new integrations is time-consuming and resource-intensive. Merge takes a lot of the stress away immediately. It also saves the time and effort of having to set up accounts with every new tool (mostly).

  ### 25. Merge is a lifesaver

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hannah O. | Chief Executive Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Having run a company in the past that required us to seek out integrations every time we onboarded a client, we know first-hand how time-consuming and frustrating this can be. Merge has been a lifesaver for us and has saved us (& our customers!) significant amounts of time during onboarding. The team is communicative, friendly, and supportive of our business goals. Highly recommend Merge!

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Would love to see them integrate with more benefits providers but hopefully that's in the works!

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HRIS integrations are a core piece of our product and in the past, this has been a time-suck for both our team and our customers. Their speedy API makes it easier for us to onboard clients, and saves time all around.

  ### 26. Time-saving unified API product with fantastic customer service

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jia A. | Senior Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge has allowed our company to integrate our system with our customers' ATS/HRIS systems with less development effort than building our own native APIs. We appreciate the work that has been spent building the common model and that we can quickly activate new integrations without starting from scratch. The support from Merge is fantastic - the team is super responsive and always happy to jump on a live call to offer support where needed.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

The main downside is that we do have some more complex use cases that aren't fully possible using Merge. To be fair, much of this is limited by the end system that we are attempting to integrate with and Merge does try as much as possible to support where they can. But in practicality, it has meant that our integrations can only accomplish so much before we would have to consider building our own custom API. We have also spent considerable time writing custom passthrough requests for fields that don't quite fit with the common model. We have also had some struggles with documentation not fully capturing implicit behaviors and have come across situations where we made assumptions of how the API would work that ended up being wrong because of lack of documentation.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge eases the process of integrating with HRIS/ATS systems by providing reusable capabilities so that we only need to integrate once and then we have “connectors” to multiple HRIS/ATS systems of interest to our company. It allows us to get a wide variety of integrations up and running more quickly than would have been possible if we were building our own APIs directly with these systems.

  ### 27. Merge provides outstanding HRIS connections

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

- Standardized API interface
 - Clear documentation
 - Wonderful customer service

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Some HRIS providers do not make it easy to integrate with them. This is not a Merge problem, but can inhibit Merge from providing a connection to that HRIS platform quickly.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Syncing HRIS data is critical for our compliance automation platform. We've saved huge amounts of developer time by working with Merge, and our customers are very satisfied.

  ### 28. Merge saves us time

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff S. | Co-founder, VP of Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge has saved our engineering team a considerable amount of time and has helped us deliver additional value to our customers. They have a large suite of HRIS systems that they are already integrated with, and are always cooperative to add more integrations as needed. Their documentation is excellent, and their support team has been super helpful whenever we have questions.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Nothing! Merge is very easy to work with and their product does exactly what we need it to do.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge lets us integrate with a bunch of HRIS systems out of the box. This lets us offer a simple interface for our customers to connect their HRIS systems so we can start offer them tools to automatically onboard and offboard their employee in our systems.

  ### 29. Merge saved us one and half years of dev time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge saved (and continues to save) our dev team an enormous amount of time. We originally looked at the scope of work to integrate with multiple HR platforms and it would have taken 1 and a half years to support all of our customers. Merge brought that time down to 1 month.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Depending on your viewpoint, this could be a benefit. When a customer integrates their HR product with ours, technically those credentials are stored in Merge's database. While I believe they're very competent, sometimes it takes a bit of explaining to the customer on how their compliance standards are even higher than ours. Technically, this is very similar to what credit card processors do as well.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge takes a bunch of functionaly similar APIs and rolls them into only one that you actually have to integrate with. This makes your code base infinitely less complex and easier to maintain. For the work of integrating with one API you get hundreds.

  ### 30. Great Tool to Optimize Opportunities

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge gives an easy solution for our customers to connect their HR platforms to our platform to increase our value proposition to our customers. The tool minimizes the effort needed to connect to multiple platforms while enabling us to reach a broader addressable market. Furthermore, they have a great customer success team that is super responsive. This is important when a quick turnaround on customer issues is needed.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

While the tool is super helpful in minimizing development time, nothing is perfect. There is still some room for improvement in stabilizing connections and improving troubleshooting procedures.
On the same note, their product team moves fast in implementing changes.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast onboarding of HR integrations to reach a broad clientele with our products

  ### 31. Great company to work with and a good product

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

How helpful and friendly the team are - made onboarding very easy.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Some of the features we needed were not ready right away/had a few minor bugs. Thankfully the team was very responsive and addressed the issues very quickly.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Combining data sources into a common data model.

  ### 32. Merge has replaced our Integrations Engineering team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge is amazing. Incredibly intuitive and easy-to-use platform. We had a small full-stack engineering team that had never built an integrations strategy before, and they were able implement Merge in days.

While originally we were planning to hire a team of integrations engineers to build and maintain all of our integrations, we've completely eliminated that from our headcount plans. This has increased focus and productivity on engineering, and freed us up to recruit for other skillsets on our engineering team, which has enhanced our product's overall differentiation and competitiveness on the market.

With Merge, we're able to easily support dozens of integrations which has driven tons of sales -- we haven't lost a deal due to lack of integrations since implementing Merge. This has been great for us, since our product requires that we integrate with several product categories where there are many solutions in the market -- HRIS, ATS, Ticketing, Accounting, and CRM. Every time Merge has added a new product category (e.g. Ticketing), the solution has been really robust and high quality. I don't know how they do it but I'm really grateful!

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Nothing, Merge is awesome and has been a force multiplier for both sales and our engineering productivity. Their support and product teams are a delight to interact with, and are both consultative and hyper-responsive. I wish every vendor was like this!

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrations for HRIS, ATS, Ticketing, CRM, and Accounting. They run our entire integrations strategy.

  ### 33. Excellent customer service and building more integrations all the time!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sanjeev S. | Strategic Finance Partner Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Customer service is excellent and super responsive. Always available to troubleshoot any issues with myself and customers.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Could do with more integrations and easier interface to extract mappings/data items that aren't automatically retrieved.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connecting to APIs

  ### 34. Merge is f*cking awesome

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob S. | Co-founder, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

We didn't have to build out a ton of HRIS and ATS integrations. Super easy to set up and get going. Easy for our CS and customers to use.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Their ADP WFN integration was spotty at the beginning. I have a hunch it's not their fault.. but that was difficult.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are a million HRIS companies, and we need to integrate with their software for our product to work. Merge made it way easier for us and our customers to manage these integrations!

  ### 35. Integrations made easy - Merge makes it happen!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kara P. | Senior Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge is easy to use, they have fantastic documentation, and the team continuously provides amazing support. Merge is truly a game-changer for the industry, and for our company and our users. I actually look forward to setting up integrations now instead of dreading them!

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

So far, the only downside is some integrations do not have a sandbox environment. That doesn't really have anything to do with Merge though. One thing I would be interested in is some sort of Merge Community, where I could interact with and learn from other Merge customers.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my experience as a product manager, setting up integrations can be, at best, difficult. Merge has been a game-changer for us - allowing us to plan for and release new integrations that provide value to our customers and set up apart from our competitors. Our sales team has been greatly unblocked thanks to Merge. We've added multiple HRIS integrations and are looking into their new Accounting integrations.

  ### 36. Great building block to scale integrations fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Easy to use, easy to set up and very quick path to value.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Not everything is as customizable yet, eg the modal to show the end user. The team however is very open to feedback and fast in delivering improvements continuously so no concerns that this won't get resolved soon.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One time integration with Merge gives access to lots of HR integrations. New integrations are added continuously, allowing us to integrate broader and broader for our customers.

  ### 37. Merge has product depth, and breath, and best customer service & success for any SaaS platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tushar M. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge API platform is easy to integrate, and the product has helped us quickly onboard customers with the HRIS and ATS integrations. They have the best customer service of any SaaS platform I've used in the last ten years.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Some functionality (API end-points) for certain platforms may be missing. But, they are honest and upfront in sharing accurate information about their platform capabilities. And are building at a very fast pace (Hint: Carta integration)

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We focus on building the core functionality of the business and can fully rely on Merge to deliver the integrations we need to HRIS, and ATS platforms.
Allows us to go to market faster and saves us time, from building our own integrations (and maintaining) them. Huge cost and time savings for a growing startup

  ### 38. Continuously Delightful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge's breadth of coverage and pass-through capabilities drastically simplifies our integration process. Their execution speed is inspiring, most Series A plus companies' product improvement noticeably slows down, but Merge seems to only be getting better. If you want an integration vendor that gives **** regardless of deal size and solves problems, you can't go wrong with them (edited)

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Nothing, but slightly worried there going monopolize the engineers willing to respond to questions at 10 pm

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrations across multiple product categories

  ### 39. All your HRIS & ATS needs wrapped into a beautiful API and web application

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel M. | Co-Founder & CTO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

I started integrating into HRIS systems one by one and quickly realized that the industry is very fragmented and complicated. I was going to need an API partner that took care of all of the subtle details from a 1:many perspective as it relates to HR data. Merge API team did this with excellence with their API, their easy-to-use web application, and their AMAZING team. The engineering team and even the founders would even get on with me on a shared slack channel to help us figure out edge cases.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

The number one thing I dislike is how complex this industry makes it to get sandbox accounts if you want to integrate with a new HRIS provider. The Merge API team helps us get through that pain, and they seem to release new integrations every month!

**Recommendations to others considering Merge Unified:**

There are a few other players in this space. I've worked with a couple of them, and NONE OF THEM support you as the Merge team does. Their commitment to their customers is a 10/10, and their commitment to clean API data is top-notch!

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The core problem we're solving with Merge API is we needed a 1:many API for all of these different HRIS & ATS tools.

1. We don't need to partner with these companies direct anymore, saving a lot of time.
2. The Merge API has a standard schema to it; it's kind of like Segment for the HRIS & ATS industry.
3. The web application lets the Customer Success team sign in and deep dive into a customer issue without getting engineering involved.
4. All of this added up, saves us on our engineering head-count budget, and allows our engineers to build more product features.

  ### 40. Innovative alternative to building 100s of HRIS API integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Both the developer and customer documentation is very thorough and easily accessible. The customer support is responsive and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

I wish they solved for the complexities of enterprise HRIS software like Workday. We found that there are just so many different bespoke implementations of workday hris customers that is hard to relay on a standard api integration for it.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building your own api integrations for HRIS

  ### 41. Excellent Team, Excellent Product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roy B. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The ease of use of their API, the breadth of their integrations, their friendly technical support team, and their flexible pricing.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Nothing really. I can't think of any flaws they have. The product and their support team are terrific.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge solves the problem of having to integrate with multiple systems in order to interoperate with companies that use various ATSs, CRMs, and HRISs.

  ### 42. Outstanding Team. Incredibly helpful product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ulises I. O. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The hands-on proactive help and guidance

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Can't think of anything I dislike at all

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge has made it crazy simple for us to integrate with dozens of systems quickly. Helping us focus on the core mission of our company versus worrying about maintaining API's.

We've been using Merge since the early days. So we've been able to see them grow their capabilities and add additional support based on our specific needs. I've always been very impressed with how quickly they turn around an integration. Saving my team a lot of time and lowering our engineering costs.

  ### 43. Fantastic Customer Support, Product makes a complex problem easy!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David H. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

By far the best part of Merge is the people behind it. Support is fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

The node SDK needs improvement, especially types.
There have been some outages recently that have affected our ability to launch.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge gives us the ability to better support user provisioning for our platform. Many of our larger clients want more automation and Merge allows us to offer that across multiple HRIS applications.

  ### 44. Unified APIs for HRIS and ATS integrations. Merge is the future.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Poonam P. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Below are some of the key points we would like to highlight.
- Simple and easy to use APIs for HRIS and ATS
- Merge Link helps to save time and effort for integration.
- Good documentation
- Best in class support

We are extremely happy with the results of our engagement with Merge team and highly recommend them.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Nothing to dislike. Hope they continue to add more integrations.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We helped our client integrate with Merge's HRIS using their Ruby SDK.

  ### 45. Bye, managing multiple HRIS/ATS integrations! Ship, grow, and deliver value faster with Merge :)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Enrique E. | Co-Founder & CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge has been a game-changer for us. Thanks to Merge, we've expanded the number of customers we can service, we've been able to ship faster, and we can deliver more value to our customers.
Their technology and documentation are really strong, and their customer support is fantastic. They are true partners in every sense of the word.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Their focus has been on HRIS and ATS, which is immensely helpful. There are other system types we'd love to see them expand into, and are hoping they'll do so soon!

**Recommendations to others considering Merge Unified:**

Think no further. Merge is amazing.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accessing our customers' data quickly and securely, such that we can deliver value to them. Without Merge, we'd need an entire team staffed to deliver the same value. With Merge, we can be significantly more lean and scalable.

  ### 46. Multiplatform plug&play integration with great and super responsive support team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

- Easy to integrate new platforms
- Top-notch customer support`

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

- Merge can't provide access to sandboxes for all different third parties so some integrations are built with less trust since they cannot be fully tested
- There's not much information on logs regarding existing integrations

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick integration to multiple platforms

  ### 47. Great to accelerate integration strategy and execution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benjamin C. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

- One single integration to offer dozens
- Powerful UI to investigate integration operations
- Common models that solve main problems
- Reactivity of the team

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

- Missing more specific models (pushing scores in a raw format)

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Building & maintaining 30 integrations at once
- Debugging integration issues

  ### 48. Merge is Awesome

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jimmy T. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge has been our primary data source for HRIS and ATS data. So far, they've done a great job of getting us all the data both mapped to a standard schema and as raw. This saves us a ton of time and engineering efforts trying to build and maintain these API connections for us. They've also worked very quickly to deliver on new features, new integrations, and bug fixes. So far, we're very pleased with Merge and would highly recommend them.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Merge does not allow you to distinguish between records that have been deleted and ones that are still active. This is on their roadmap but is technically difficult to do. There are 2 workarounds, the best is if the client doesn't delete any records from the HRIS or ATS systems and instead marks them as inactive. This is good from a record-keeping respective anyways. The second is to manually mark on your records to stop syncing the deleted ones.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were trying to get data from HRIS and ATS systems. Maybe soon Payroll.

  ### 49. Best-in-class Unified API

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Impressive breadth of integrations, proactive support and customer success team.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Company is the best solution on the market for HRIS connectors based on our extensive research, but is still a Series A company - there's plenty to build out, make more reliable, etc - just as you would expect.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HRIS integrations - accelerated product development.

  ### 50. Unified APIs are the future and Merge is leading the way

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Austin C. | Co-founder, CTO (acq. by Gem), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge solves a complex issue in an extremely elegant way, and their support is best in class

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

There are a few things that haven't been normalized that still require passthrough requests, but that's to be expected as these APIs vary so drastically.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a deep integration with multiple ATSs, requiring us to do a full sync of all available data and receive realtime updates. We're able to spend more time working on product and less time fixing sync issues!
