## Merge Unified Reviews
 ### 1. Merge is the BEST out there! Game-changing, reliable, easy to use product and CS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Niles C. | Head of Product, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge has been a long-running reliable partner to us for several years now. We've been extremely impressed with their product capabilities and ability to strip down the complexity and variability of third party system integrations into one simple to use platform. It's been a pleasure to grow alongside Merge.

Above all, Merge has fantastic customer support, always going above and beyond to solve feature requests, troubleshooting complex problems, and ensuring we are well-supported from every angle. They are hands down the best in class unified API provider, and the product is a pleasure to use for both developers and non-technical folks. You won't find anything else out there that tops Merge!

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

No major dislikes to note! We love Merge.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrating with our customer's applicant tracking systems to perform various functions of read and write access

 ### 2. Reward Gateway is really happy with the service!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tanya G. | Client Integrations Team Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

I like that the support team is always there to help us. Sometimes we raise an issue and it's being looked into the same day, which we appreciate very much. Whenever we need you to jump on a call with us and a client, you're super helpful and always resolve their issue.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Nothing to dislike, you are amazing!

We mirror your guides on our side and we could use a way for you to update us if there's a change in one of the setup guides so we can update it on our end as well.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The issues that we're seeing are: Connectivity issues, permissions issues, any type of data discrepancies between what the client has in their HR system and what we see in the API payload.

 ### 3. Efficient and Reliable Unified API Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muthu R. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The simplicity and flexibility of Merge’s unified API setup make integrating new platforms seamless, without the need to build and manage individual connections

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

As an early adopter, we encountered some initial limitations in the available integrations and features, but the Merge team has been actively improving and expanding the platform. A bit more customization in the data mappings would also be a welcome addition.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge covers a wide range of integration categories, but we mainly use it for HRIS. By handling the complexities of HRIS connections through their unified API, Merge saves us time and reduces maintenance overhead. This setup keeps our HR data consistent across platforms, enabling our team to focus on other priorities. It’s been a huge asset in streamlining our operations and supporting our growth.

 ### 4. Straightforward API that does what is expected with very smart features.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucio T. | Principal Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

I love the API tester, where i can see what results we should get for different call for different linked accounts. This makes our life very easy when debugging.
The API was simple, modern and reliable. We could get started in no time and had our first integration within the day.
We have many processes that run daily with them and they have proven to be reliable. In any case, customer support is very fast and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Although we have passthrough API calls to solve the issue, it takes some time to fetch data that has not been integrated in their unified model.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge already connected to a lot of APIs that they provide to us with an unified login and API, making our work simpler.

 ### 5. Fantastic time-saver

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Monica K. | Agent Assistant, Executive Office, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

I love how it streamlines customer data and makes it easier to find information about certain customers.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Some of the features appear to be a bit complicated to apply to the data.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps to save time that would be otherwise spent searching for customer data.

 ### 6. Speed and consistency for HRIS integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francois B. | Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Working with Merge, we were able to accelerate our speed to market with HRIS integrations. We went from 0 to over 60 integrations in a remarkedly short time.

From a support standpoint, the team has been very responsive when we had questions or ran into challenges. That helped us maintain our momentum and go live ahead of schedule

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

We ran into challenges using their C# SDK. The team was clear that the SDK was still in beta and nothign was an absolute blocker, but it did add a bit of complexity to the process.

However, when we flagged bug, they were open to feedback and quick to make changes.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They helped us build many HRIS integration, using a single unified model.

 ### 7. Excellent Unified API Provider

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

We love working with Merge. The Merge product team has clearly invested a lot in product quality, and the customer support team is responsive to us whenever we have customers that have questions around integrations. We use the product every day at our team.

We had a very extensive onboarding process that helped our engineers get onboarded quickly, and we remained in close contact with their team as we onboarded more of our team on how the integrations work.

These integrations has helped unlock a lot of sales conversation and has rapidly accelerated our sales motion. We're glad to be working with the Merge team.

It could not be a more seamless product to utilize.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Not a ton comes to mind right now! We got the hang of it very quickly.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had to say no to a lot of prospects before Merge because we didn't have the integrations that they needed. Our business is better thanks to Merge.

 ### 8. Merge is a great partner with a great product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

We purchase Merge around two years ago since we started needing more integrations then. We were expanding significantly across different regions and the lack of integrations became a big blocker in sales conversations.

We found Merge through an industry contact, and we did POCs with several integrations providers. Merge really stood out and we're glad that we chose them.

Since signing on with Merge, our customer success team has really been dependent on them. Our support team uses Merge's dashboard heavily. Their logs, issues and dashboard have a lot of useful information that helps our CS team troubleshoot our integrations, and this was very difficult before we had Merge.

Merge's customer success team is top notch, and we're glad to be partnered with them.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

It has been a great experience. There are a few new integrations that we would like to integrate with, and we wish Merge could build them, but understand that the blocker is sandbox access.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge helps us add integrations to our product so we can expand across regions. They also help enhance our customer support team that otherwise would be lost when it comes to integrations.

 ### 9. Merge.dev: Simplifying Integrations with Exceptional Support and Functionality

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel E. | VP of Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

I appreciate Merge.dev's ability to simplify complex integrations through its unified API, which allows seamless connections to various platforms such as HR, payroll, accounting, ticketing, ATS, CRM, SCIM, and directory services.
During our evaluation phase we tested multiple vendors but decided to go with Merge. Besides the functional fit, their customer support team is great, listened to our input, and is very responsive. The implementation of our first integration went pretty well and we became long term customers.
I would definately recomend Merge.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Initially, about three years ago, when we first started working with Merge.dev, we encountered some challenges integrating with our target systems due to customizations in those systems. However, over time, Merge.dev resolved these issues, and we've seen continued improvements in their integration capabilities.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem Merge solved was helping us avoid dealing with differences between the integrations we needed. Using a single API with a single technology and documentation made a huge difference.

 ### 10. Great concept and feedback-responsive team but not an ideal fit for our needs

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Truly a great concept that should help companies of all sizes both expand and streamline their integration strategy. As a small and hyper-growth company, we looked to Merge to expand our integration strategy.

Overall, their platform UX is clean and easy to use which is especially important given they sit between our platform and our customers. Their documentation has also consistently improved over time and is easy to gidest.

Unfortunately, their Integrations in the ATS space have not matched our precise needs but despite that, we've still been able to utilize their services.

Their team has been responsive to feedback and support issues. With feedback and product roadmap, especially, they've made important updates to their ATS space which are directionally smart and should help both fortify and expand their capabilities, currently.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Their ATS integrations have not been able to match our precise needs and has historically had limitations that restrict both us and our customers.

Early implementation was not easy and created friction. Their team was responsive in that time but getting net new integrations set up was not as seamless as expected. Expected for a fast-growing integrations-focused startup.

Filtering in the Logs section of their platform has improved but could do with some much needed improvements. Inability to filter on status is limiting for triaging support needs.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Expanding our baseline.

 ### 11. If you've built integrations in-house, you know the pain...

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacob N. | Senior Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

First and foremost, Merge saved our startup a ton of money. We had plans to hire 3 full-time engineers to build out integrations with the most popular ATS platforms over 2 quarters, but with Merge one of our existing engineers was able to get us started within a single sprint. It's rare that you find cost-savings and shortened time-to-live in the same vendor.

Secondly, Merge has some of the best customer support in the game. We are certainly not one of their bigger contracts, and yet it feels as though we get year-round, white-glove service. Our technical and support teams can always find someone on the other end of the line to debug issues or plan future work with.

There are very few tools that I recommend in my personal life to friends building companies, but Merge is certainly one of them.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

There are always issues when managing integrations with third-party platforms, but many times the issues are caused at the source (the downstream services) rather than with Merge. But because Merge is what internal folks see, it's easy for them to get a lot of flak for outages/problems.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a recruiting platform, we need our users to be able to manage their candidates in their ATS of choice. Some of our customers are even in the process of migrating from one ATS to another. Merge enables us to provide seamless integration into every ATS on the market which massively expands our pool of potential customers.

 ### 12. Very good and responsive support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Their support team is really fast and attentive. The platform is intuitive and simple to use. I personally work with a lot of integrations and the logs that we get are really handful to understand where issues come from, and the tool it's flexible enough to allow for new fields that aren't available in the main responses.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Sometimes it would be nice to know if the services they integrate have changes that might impact in our system. Maybe I'm not aware of a change log, but managing lots of services is challenging and it's difficult to know when they apply breaking changes to their APIs.
Also, sometimes it's a bit hard to look for a specific record by id. For example, sometimes we have issues with the Employee endpoints and it's a bit cumbersome to dig into the responses to search for a specific employee id and its employments.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to integrate other services with less development effort on our side.

 ### 13. Merge makes complex integrations simple and fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clay S. | Senior Software Engineer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge allows us to integrate with hundreds of platforms through a single API, which has saved us countless hours of development work. We can now connect with ATS, CRM, HRIS, and other systems seamlessly, all without building custom integrations for each one. This has drastically shortened our integration timeline and enabled us to provide a much better experience for our customers. Features like auto-provisioning and automated data syncing have also reduced manual tasks, letting our team focus on more impactful work.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

While Merge simplifies integration, the initial setup and customization require some time and resources to get everything aligned with our specific requirements.

Once configured, however, it’s very reliable.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge is solving the challenge of building and maintaining integrations with multiple third-party platforms. Before using Merge, integrating with different systems like ATS, CRM, and HRIS was a complex, time-consuming process that required significant engineering resources. With Merge, we now have a single, unified API to connect to hundreds of applications, eliminating the need to create and maintain individual integrations.

This has been a huge benefit to us by accelerating our integration timeline and reducing development workload, which allows our team to focus on improving core features. The consistent data syncing Merge provides has also improved our product’s reliability and given our customers a seamless experience, helping us drive customer satisfaction and retention.

 ### 14. Great and reliable partnership

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nadia B. | Senior Integrations Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Definitely the support, timely responses, and readiness to troubleshoot and resolve mutual customer issues. The Merge team really does go above and beyond to collaborate with us as a partner as opposed to just offering the software for us to self-serve with. Dashboard is clean, easy to use and offers many features to track usability and troubleshoot any errors. Integration interface is straightforward and user-friendly. API testing access is a huge help to us when it comes to data checks.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

The main downside to using a 'middle man' between systems in general is that more complex issues can take a while to troubleshoot and figure out where the issue stems from, but as both RG and Merge have good troubleshooting processes in place, this is usually resolved within a few weeks.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge allows our clients to directly integrate with their HRIS systems without having to configure a custom SFTP and SCIM API connector which can take longer, since it usually requires the client to arrange a tech person who is familiar with APIs, FTP transfers, etc. and such teams are not always easy to reach or available. Merge connectors can be easily set up in a few steps by any HR admin which saves both us and the client's time and technical work.

 ### 15. Amazing company solving a really impactful problem

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James S. | Head of Account Management - Sales, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Ease of us is definitely a critical piece of why we're successful with Merge. The customer support is just next level with this team as they have clear subject matter experts that help at each step of the way to make it easy to integrate. We love the breadth of their features as well, so we're always thinking through new ways to use the platform (enabling CRM integrations, Analytics, and more). Just AWESOME platform, amazing team, and a must-have solution.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Not any downsides to think through at the moment. It's more internally how do we get the most out of Merge, which their team does a great job on sharing guidance on the journey.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge is solving a key business problem for us on how to enable key integrations for our customers and our own platform. It makes our solution that much more powerful as we can get saturated in our customers internal ecosystem and enable efficient workflows for them while they're adopting our products. It's a gamechanger for being able to sell to any and all customers in the market no matter their current tech stack.

 ### 16. Powerful API

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dimitri C. | CTO, Human Resources, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Documentation is clean, so is the platform and capabilities are added on a regular basis. The team is mostly reactive on our support channel.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

For some specific providers we need to define custom logic, it would be great if it was trully 100% unified.
Also there is no way to use different webhook endpoints for Sandbox/Production environment so we need other Merge accounts specifically for our Staging / Dev environment.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having the hability to integration multiple providers using a single logic, which works I would say 95% of the time.

 ### 17. Comprehensive Platform with Excellent Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom O. | Co-Founder & CEO, Human Resources, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge provides a comprehensive platform that supports nearly everything we need for our HRIS, payroll, and AD integrations. Their technical depth stands out, making complex connections easier to navigate. The standout feature, however, is the team behind the product. The Merge team is friendly, responsive, and consistently helpful, both in answering our questions and unblocking customer issues quickly.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

While the platform is robust, fully setting up integrations for our customers, once they started using it, required more effort than initially expected. Merge’s support helped smooth the process, but it did take time.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge helps us integrate with our customers' HRIS, payroll, or AD systems so they can automatically sync their employees with our platform. It also solves the problem of us not having enough resources to hire to build out and maintain all the integrations individually.

 ### 18. Happy with product and support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Utsav S. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

We started using Merge in 2023 and have thousands of linked accounts. Merge's quality has been as good as can be, given the inherently unreliable systems they help integrate with. When there's a bug in the product, we feel confident that we'll get an informed response from their support team and real issues will be fixed relatively soon.

Moreover, for our largest customers that have had security concerns, their support team has hopped on calls with our support team to walk the customer through the process of linking and sharing minimal access.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

The standard downsides of Unified APIs - for a few integrations, we had to build custom logic since the standard behavior that Merge provided didn't match customer expectations.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use 50+ integration logos through Merge that we don't have to build and maintain ourselves.

 ### 19. Go viral without coding

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Malinda C. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge lets us reach users for all Applicant Tracking Systems and similar products instantly, without writing custom integrations for each

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Nothing we dislike, but we would like to create integration links with our user's ATS pre-defined so that it feels a bit more like they are in our product versus going through a 3rd part integration

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge let's us offer our Job Applicant Screening Engine to companies who use just about any Applicant Tracking System, without Merge we would only be able to support users from a few major ATSs, which means Merge has expanded our product to the entire hiring market

 ### 20. Great partnership with Merge

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg P. | VP of Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge has been instrumental in helping us accelerate our roadmap. We were able to quickly add dozens of HRIS integrations to our product.

The Electric team has thoroughly enjoyed working with Merge. We highly recommend.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

There are a few more integrations we would love for Merge to add. The team is always collaborative and will work with us to add those integrations, but the main blocker is sandboxes.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Merge, we can add integrations to Electric's product without having to pull engineers off of other projects. We can stay focused on building the workflows around the integrations.

 ### 21. Top tier product and company, in a technically difficult space

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas C. | Director of Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge's product is excellent. The integrations are robust and reliable and the admin tools allows for very useful insights into your integrations and for very efficient debugging. The only thing better is probably their customer and technical support. The Merge team is always available, responds promptly to every requests, and even helps out with some of the integration efforts with our clients. We've used some other competitors in the space and are thrilled we landed on Merge.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Really no dislikes here. Integrations are never fun, but Merge is the company to partner with if you have to.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a healthcare company that needs to connect to multiple other systems. Merge allows us to focus on our core offering while providing robust connections to our customer's systems.

 ### 22. Excellent Merge Experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harron U. | Technical Integration Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

I thoroughly enjoy working with the Merge Team they are super helpful and responsive. The system so far has proven to be easy to use and if I do get stuck our account reps and solutions consultant are always at hand to help.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Some slight improvements could be made to the UI and the SAP integration in particular.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connecting HRIS sysem using the unified API this takes away 90% to 95% of development work from us. The new SFTP release now gives us wider implementation options.

 ### 23. Great platform, incredible customer support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

From day one, the experience with Merge has been fantastic. The onboarding was smooth and straightforward, with a dedicated team member guiding us through every step. The platform is super intuitive, and thanks to their great documentation and easy-to-follow tutorials, the learning curve was practically nonexistent.

What really stood out was their customer support. Whenever we had any questions, we got quick, helpful, and genuinely friendly responses. They made us feel like a priority and even customized solutions to fit our exact needs.

As for the product itself, it's been rock-solid. It does everything we need with speed and reliability, and it’s clear that a lot of care has gone into making both the platform and the overall experience top-notch.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Honestly, nothing negative comes to mind. We’ve had a great experience so far!

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our prospects often request a variety of integrations, and building these in-house just isn’t feasible for us. Merge has been our secret weapon—it allows us to say “yes” to more customers by offering the integrations they need without the development headache.

 ### 24. Great way to accelerate your integration plans

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Munjal S. | Founder and CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The onboarding and customer success team has been great. We always get a response to our questions right away and they have been really helpful.

The product lets us integrate with CRMs and HRIS fairly easily

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

This may be a one off but when we tried to integrate with a customer on their CRM, it took over a week for Merge to Synch with their data.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We don't have to build out separate integrations for all the different CRMs and HRIS systems. Instead we can just integrate with Merge once.

 ### 25. Massive development speed boost

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Will D. | VP of Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge took us from 2 integrations to 50 integrations overnight. It saved us time on authentication, permissioning, fetching, caching, and normalizing in all of our integrations and gave us much better logging and alerting on integration issues in the meantime. They continue to add new integrations and features every week and we're looking forward to continue working with them in the future.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

I can't really think of anything that I dislike.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Merge to integrate with ATS systems more quickly and efficiently.

 ### 26. Merge.Dev is solid for accessing 3rd-Party applications and makes it easier to use!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The API calling features similate Postman with a Clean UI/UX for most to understand. Simple and Easy Solutions

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Make it easier to set up Web Hooks! For people like me who are still learning we need to assist people who are still learning with straight forward instructions to be a little more universal but still tailors on how to set up using even your own API documentation. I used this quite a lot before I had to unfortunately shift to Make.com.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It unfortunately was not tailored enough for me to set up a webhook enough that was clear through the documentation. I do love the concept and see the potential! It just couldnt work with my API documentation regarding Paycom.

 ### 27. An immense timesaver for HR integrations!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge does a good job of abstracting away the complexity and pain of maintaining many API integrations. We would not be able to support nearly so many HRIS options for our clients if we were integrating each ourselves!

I have been most appreciative of the prompt and personal support we have received from Merge since the very beginning. When dealing with the intersection of so many complex systems, it's inevitable that things won't always work perfectly. Merge is always very supportive if we need help debugging data problems or a friendly explanation of how to connect a new system.

Additionally, it's been great to have a close working relationship as Merge's product has evolved. We have appreciated seeing our feedback worked into the product, sometimes on short notice if we need it.

From a technical perspective, I've found the Merge API to be intuitive and well-documented. The provided SDKs are also useful. Visibility is quite good with logs within the Merge dashboard.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

There are still differences per integrated system which can make things difficult to debug. An example of this is the process to connect each system. Merge has been making strides by adding more detail to the Link component, but sometimes clients still struggle to make it through these steps successfully.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge is allowing us to pull employee data from a wide range of HR systems. This is taking manual data maintenance work away from our clients while improving the richness and accuracy of the data we hold.

 ### 28. Using Merge’s Unified API to add 10 European-focused HRIS integrations within a week

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonas H. | Chief Product Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

We primarily serve European companies and so data security and data minimization are incredibly important to us. Since Merge complies with regional data security and privacy regulations like GDPR and offers features that let our customers pick and choose the data they want to sync (via Scopes), we’ve been able to provide HRIS integrations that exceed our customers’ security requirements.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

We'd always love more integrations, but the team is very responsive and open to adding them!

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our customers use a very fragmented set of HRIS providers. Merge's standardised integrations help us to connect clients with differing HRIS with just one integration.

 ### 29. Great idea, mediocare execution, bad support

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge offers a great concept, that is supposed to save a lot of engineering hours, instead of developing native integrations you can just use a unified API to connect multiple integrations at the same time.

They offer many unified APIs across different integration types, and we started implementing one of them, that is in beta for a while now.

They are PLG, so you can start small and expand if you see value.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

While the initial integration was relatively simple, our customers started to see issues connecting their systems to our platform via Merge.

Their support team is not responsive, and we remain speechless in front of our customers (who can't use our integrations because of that).

They keep asking us to upgrade to a higher tier, but since the support we are asking for is fundamental to the use of their product, it doesn't resonate well with future expansions.

)Since Merge sits on top of our product, for us it's a part of the code base)

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Save engineering effort of developing native integrations, with a Unified API to get 5 integrations at the time of 1.

 ### 30. Speed up and improve your integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge is a great way to make your product handle the diverse integrations needs of your customers. We discovered Merge via its documentation while researching how to improve our native ATS integrations and found exposure to it to improve our own understandings and abstractions and made it a lot easier for us to integrate with more systems.

We were able to load data with it right away and were excited to see various tools (such as logs that don't require an engineer's involvement) that we had wanted for our native ATS integrations.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

If you have more advanced needs, I recommend signing up for plans that include support. While the documentation is pretty good, I haven't found forums for talking about nuanced implementation details.

We have a shared Slack and their insights into our questions have saved us so much time.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps our recruiting CRM interact with a variety of ATSes.

 ### 31. Merge for HR connections

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Connecting to many HR systems was quite simple, a lot easier than if we tried this on our own. Their support and help along the way has been great.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

There are occasionally surprises and fees from the systems we are connecting to.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped us connect our system to many HR systems quickly, and with great security. This enabled many features within our platform.

 ### 32. A Flexible and Powerful Unified API

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge is a market leader in the unified API space. Their team has created flexible and powerful infrastructure for connecting data sources, taking the work off Engineers and Users to seamlessly bring together data from disparate systems. Merge's platform is amazing, with a few key characteristics to call out:

Reliability - Merge never fails. Their APIs are foolproof and work consistently for all of our connected customers. When there are issues (which typically are driven by issues on the HRIS side), Merge proactively flags the error so we can workflows operating as usual.

Breadth - Merge has been relentless in expanding the scope of their APIs across HRIS and ATS. I have strong confidence that they will continue to build more APIs and develop partnerships other systems outside of their core.

Support - The Merge team is always willing to hop on a customer call, navigate a tricky integration, or provide helpful support in time of need. Jemma has been our guide through the recent SFTP support and we couldn't be more thankful!

Long-term partnership - Merge recognizes the importance of maintaining a high quality, always-on system that is business critical for most companies. They are our long-term partner through scale and we couldn't recommend them enough!

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

I hope that more HCMs open their walls to Merge to be able to connect data across systems. This is less of a criticism on Merge, but moreso on other ecosystem players who have made it difficult to create high-quality user experiences by limiting data access.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge helps us consolidate all employee data for a unified picture of employee compensation history.

 ### 33. Great platform for scaling API integrations with many different providers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Once you set up an integration with Merge, you can instantly enable all of your customers to have integrations with all of their supported systems. This was a massive unlock for our HR integrations product -- we don't have to build and maintain integrations with each system, and as Merge builds new integrations, providing access to our customers is as easy as flipping a toggle on their dashboard.

Their customer support is quick to respond and deal with any issues that come up. The entire team is a joy to work with!

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Syncing data from remote systems can take a long time, since Merge aggregates data from the system & we pull from Merge. There's occassionally some issues with data consistency.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our customers use a variety of HR systems and we need to pull that data into our system so that our customers can provision user accounts + assign users into the correct locations/departments/reporting hierarchies. Merge integrates with many different HR systems and allows us to integrate with all of them without having to build and maintain several integrations.

 ### 34. The BEST product for integrations!!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

I need a lot of integrations, and it would have been a pain to build them in house. I got in contact with the Merge team over a year ago, and their product has really helped my team accelerate the development of integrations.

Their team is very kind and responsive. It makes a big difference for our team.

We tried several of their competitors, but Merge is clearly the winner in the space!

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Not really a dislike, but i would love for Merge to expand to more categories -- specifically ecommerce integrations!

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As mentioned, we need a lot of integrations. It would have been impossible for us to build them all in house.

 ### 35. The easiest way to connect to 3rd party tools at any scale

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge is my favorite way to integrate new products to whatever Saas application you have. The unified APIs make it so that you don't even need to think about the complexities of how a platform works or its APIs. Merge does that for us!

In my experience, they've also handled scale extremely well, accepting and passing along enterprise-scale data with no issues. And with any issues I've experienced, they're extremely fast to respond and triage.

I'd highly recommend Merge if you're looking to plug more 3rd party integrations into your product. It makes the job far more easy and predictable, letting you answer customer needs faster while also freeing up roadmap spent building only 1st party.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

No real dislikes! More integrations to more categories is the never ending need, but Merge is great about bringing these to market continually.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unified APIs that feed us information from many tools at once in a predicable manner. It avoids a lot of the complexities of integrating and the many many APIs you have to parse for 3rd party tools.

 ### 36. Integration made easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tuheena R. | Product Support Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Easy to navigate and understand, specially for someone from the non tech side. They have made integrating easy with ability for us to have custom mapping. Their support team too is amazing!!

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

I wish they had the endpoint names from HRIS' mentioned in their documentation.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For a non technical person, understanding the logs is easy now. Their team too is helpful

 ### 37. An accelerant for SaaS integration strategies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

I've been a customer of Merge at two different startups, and both experiences have been game-changing. Their platform has played a key role in accelerating our integration strategies and expanding the breadth and depth of what capabilities we can offer. Merge has been easy to implement, and has allowed us to be more nimble, bringing new features to market in a fraction of the time if we would have to build them from scratch.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

There is nothing I dislike. Occasionally, we get an obscure integration request that they don't support yet, but their team is fantastic and proactive. They constantly listen to customers to expand and improve their connectors based on feedback and demand.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge allows our engineering, data, and product teams to move faster and work smarter, adding and improving our integrations way faster than if we had to build them from scratch. Bringing new features to market faster has also given marketing/sales a boost, and reacting to customer requests faster gives NPS a boost. It's a win-win for everyone.

 ### 38. Great integration partner

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex R. | CPO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge has been a great help to our product integration, making it easy and smooth to ntegrate into a range of complex third party systems (specifically ATS in our case). The APIs are well designed and performant and uptime is great. On top of that support is great and quick to respond with helpful answers and easy access to technical contacts when needed. Definitely recommend Merge for all integration needs to help any company move faster.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Keep adding more systems! Always good to have even more integration end points and I know this is a top priority of the Merge team.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge helps us integrate with a wide range of ATSs.

 ### 39. Easy to implement software, great results

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Implementation was very fast and we're already seeing a lot of value in the tool. Merge allowed us to connect to many integrations that we didn't have access before. Also, their customer support via slack is amazing and the team is very responsive. As CX, our engineering team now replies faster to my requests to add new integrations.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

So far, everything has been very good. I'd like to see more connectors available and ready to use so we can start using them.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are many connectors that other platforms do not support, that's why we started using Merge. Since we implemented, we can offer many new integrations to our clients.

 ### 40. Build your integration pipeline once, connect near infinite numbers of providers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Immense time savings in terms of implementation. Instead of implementing integrations one by one, you can integrate once with Merge and instantly offer a lot of integration to your customers.

Merge has also done the hard work of figuring out some tricky integrations using old technologies such as SOAP, or tricky edge cases.

The dashboard is pretty good with logs of each syncs, ability to turn on and off any integrations, etc. Customer support is top notch, directly embedded in your slack.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Sometimes you still have to account for quirkiness of some integrations, meaning that it is not a "100% build once and forget", but it's still a huge time and energy saver versus building everything yourself from scratch for each integration.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have to integrate with a lof of different HRIS. Merge has done the hard work for me for most of them.

 ### 41. Great team & product keeps getting better

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Macy L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

tl;dr: As a PM, using a product like Merge makes your product look & work a lot better.

I inherited the implementation & maintenance of Merge from another team, but to be honest I can't imagine how other teams build integrated products without it. Their API docs are chefs kiss and are constantly updated. The admin console gives me a ton of functionality and info without having to bother eng. They're frequently adding more integrations to their list and have pretty much shipped every feature I've asked for.

Besides the product, every person I've met from Merge has been great to work with and they really know their stuff.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Pricing is very cost-prohibitive for early stage startups and the learning curve is pretty high for non-technical folks.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of painfully researching, integrating, and maintaining dozens of HRIS/ATS integrations, we just have to setup Merge.

 ### 42. Amazing customer support and product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

It’s a really great product experience. The docs and dashboard are very clear and we are able to get answers easily from their customer success team. Their customer success team is fantastic. I’m able to get responses quickly and they’re very responsive.

We use Merge pretty extensively across several categories, and see them adding new integrations every month.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

This isn’t Merge’s fault necessarily, but sometimes API providers will be difficult with sandbox access. Merge has some sandboxes, but there are a few that are missing where we’d love UI access.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wouldn’t be able to build this many integrations in-house with the number of people we have. It’s really difficult to scale support and maintain all of these connectors. Using Merge allows us to focus on our core product and move more quickly.

 ### 43. Merge.dev is an excellent product, the API is clean and documented

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pierre-Alexandre S. | Principal sofware engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The clean documentation, the API that is understandable and cozy and the simplicity of use. It took me a few hours to implement. CS team responds quickly.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

The pricing scheme was complex to manage and although i understand, it is not easy for a small business to justify that high of a price

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Syncing employee data from multiple HRIS, we dont need to implement each one individually

 ### 44. Pleased to be working with Merge team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tanya M. | Integration specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

I am so grateful to Merge's team for their help and assistance even when we reached out to them last minute. They are very polite and responsive. Also what I find as a very big advantage is that they have a support team in Europe, that works with Europe time and that is so helpful when we deal with UK clients.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

There is nothing that I do not like. There are very supportive

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

That really depends on the clients we work with. Sometimes the issue is the client does not read the guides and they insist on a call, to which Merge are very supportive and patient.

 ### 45. Streamlined Integration Pathway

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The unified API and support from internal teams at Merge has been so refreshing. We have been able to easily implement key features to depend and expand our integration base.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Nothing to note, they have been great! We are hoping for more expansion of note logging/activity features in the unified API as well as a growth into the education sector.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge is quickly allowing our company to integrate with HRIS, CRM, and ATS products. This allows us to expand our offering into new verticals that have not always seen the benefit of a texting solution, without an integration present.

 ### 46. Great coverage of SaaS integrations

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Most connections are available, and anything that's not there is serviceable by the Merge team. Makes the experience very useful.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

After using a connector for a while, you may experience some gotchas. The way a field is interpretted may be very specific to a SaaS. E.g. for CX, the user field being null may be because the author field is not null, meaning that the comment is actually by the author. Things like that are hard to find out of the box by developers.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrating with various SaaS applications.

 ### 47. Merge helps us do more

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Annie G. | Senior Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge's people are awesome and very knowledgable - they help us get on-boarded quickly and it was easy to setup and get my team onboarded. Their dashboard is amazing and ability to customize data syncs and connections is incredibly helpful. From the start I've appreciated their attention to detail on security and access.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Not about Merge but the unified API industry is diffucult. You need to do your research ahead of time and find a good fit for your use case. Merge had a lot that really helped our organization focus more on our core business high value features for our customers and less on integration code. If their data model works for you business cases I highly recommend them!

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saving our developers from writing integration code.

 ### 48. Best Unified API Provider

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

We tried using several other providers, but they all fell short with respect to support and product quality. Merge’s team is extremely responsive, and it’s obvious through the product and customer support interactions that they care a lot about making Merge a great experience. We’re glad we made the switch. Not looking back.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

There are a few additional categories we would love them to integrate with, but overall no complaints!

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge is helping us add multiple integrations to our product through one unified API. Without Merge, we would need to hire a team of engineers.

 ### 49. Seamlessly expanding our TAM

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge has helped us efficiently expand our TAM, and sell to more companies. The products we have built on top of Merge's platform have been incredibly stable and scalable, and we have been very happy with the experience.

In addition, the sense of partnership we have from the Merge team is real, and very appreciated.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Honestly, no dislikes. Their product is great and the team is fantastic.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easily expanding our integration set to be able to serve customers across the HR Tech ecosystem.

 ### 50. Best Unified API Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Houtan F. | Co-Founder & CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge is very easy to setup and has all the integrations that are required for our customers. The customer support team is always avaialble to answer questions and fix any issues that may come up. They go as far as joining our customer calls for more complicated integrations.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

It would be nice if it had a built in rules based system that could filter data coming across from integrations.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge allows us to integrate with multiple HRIS systems without having to worry about the details of every integration.
