What do you like best about Mentor Graphics?

Mentor graphics is a most advanced competitor tool in the market compared to ther ecad tools.The features includes analysis work and simulation part of it.footprint creation integrated with symbols and schematic. Layout designing includes less time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mentor Graphics?

For a beginner it takes more time to understand the features and shortcuts to design the layout. Little overpriced compared to other ecadtools. 3d model viewing takes more time . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Mentor graphics has integrated Analysis and simulations features that saves less time for analysis team.

I worked with Modelsim when I was self training. I found Modelsim to be better than various other simulators as it gives better control than ISE. I simulated different Verilog designs using it. It has always been my go-to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Mentor Graphics?

It is the lite version of Questasim and provides most of the basic functionality better than other simulators. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mentor Graphics?

Extended functionalities of QuestaSim are missing. Support for UVM is also not there. Including all these things would be better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I did task-based and direct stimulus verification when I was training myself in college time. It was much better a simulator than ISE, in my opinion. It allowed us to integrate Modelsim into ISE, and we can use it as a default simulator. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I used QuestaSim during my time in Maven, I had used products by Aldec, but after using Questa I found that it was much more fast, and it had much better user interface. Working on it for any sort of verification along with functional or code coverage is a great idea. Although I felt the user interface is little cluttered up for small screen sizes.
