What do you like best about megaLOAD?

The multi-protocol architecture of megaLOAD really helps streamline things. Also, the browser-based UI really helps access the controls without installing any software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about megaLOAD?

Even though it is marketed as a scalable solution for load testing, I sometimes felt it has the scope for a lot of improvement. It still requires a lot of configuration and monitoring now and then. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is megaLOAD solving and how is that benefiting you?

The primary reason we are using megaLOAD is for streamlining the load testing and balancing which megaLOAD does pretty well. There is definitely room for improvements, more specifically our business-specific needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about megaLOAD?

1. It provides support for multi-protocol i.e. we can test the REST APIs using HTTP plugin. Also, erlang scripts are available to support XMPP

2. The user interface is intuitive and shows the load testing results in real-time

3. Quick and easy deployment with multi-cloud & on-prem support

4. It provides support for DSL i.e. Write your test specifications using JSON

What do you dislike about megaLOAD?

1. Load test results are visible in the browser only. There is no standard way to export the report.

2. The user interface can be improved with UI widgets/tooling.

Recommendations to others considering megaLOAD:

We have used megaLOAD primarily for APIs load testing. If anyone has a similar business requirement for high volume testing of APIs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have deployed certain microservices in containerized environments and planned for load testing to analyze the amount of load the backend system can handle. megaLoad seems a correct tool for load testing of our java-based microservices Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about megaLOAD?

The best thing about Megaload is :

1. Easy to install software

2. UI is very easy to understand

3. Complexity gets clear in very simple ways

1. The installation speed can be increased.

2. The UI can be enhanced related to the competition in the market.

3. More debug options could be added.

What do you like best about megaLOAD?

With megaLoad one can quickly and easily setup the load testing for enterprise level backend application, and being available on cloud is a big plus with infrastructure burden with the developer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about megaLOAD?

It has its own styling, sytax which can induce the learning curve for old learners working with legacy systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We are in the testing phase with megaLoad and it is being evaluated against GTmetrix for efficiency and completeness.
