Medius has really changed the game for us at PNA, a super robust system with functionality that tremendously helps scale your business.

The server seems to get glitchy a lot more lately these days. We encounter "oops we dont know what happened message" more often in the last 6 months.

Medius is a great product with great support.

Increased automation.  Moving to a centralized AP function versus a decentralized function.

What I like the best concerning Medius is the 21st-century innovation with the cost analysis software, which enables our company to make smart financial decisions for future growth.

Medius is currently helping us to organize and process for payment of more than 180,000 merchant invoices per year. The Medius software allows us to create various metrics and analyze trends, which allows us to better serve our clients with available products for purchasing.

**What do you like best about Medius?**

Medius has been a great tool that has integrated well with our systems. The team at Medius did a fantastic job reviewing our processes and making sure we are always set up for success.

**What do you dislike about Medius?**

The solution is very customizable - so sometimes it takes a little bit to figure out what works well for our specific purposes and what doesn't. There are also so many features and tools that it can be overwhelming to figure out on your own. The Medius team does a great job answering questions, but sometimes it is difficult even to know what questions to begin to ask.

**What problems is Medius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can push our invoices through with minimal intervention seamlessly. It saves us time as we do not have to touch invoices multiple times and we can always check on the status of any given transaction to see if it is held up somewhere or it is flowing through as expected.

The UI is a bit clunky to learn in the beginning. Also would like to see easier batch coding and approvals.

Buy it and learn how to use it. Get your entire team offically trained.

I dont like that big part of the purchase-invoices stop in the analyze stage.

For the invoices that only require coding, it is very fast.

**What do you like best about Medius?**

MediusFlow has created great efficiency not only to the department but the entire organization (users) of the system.  They are much more efficient and are able to utilize their processes with more confidence and availability.

**What do you dislike about Medius?**

My largest dislike is it highlights the need to make other changes to our systems that are much more laborious.  We are currently on desktop version of Quickbooks.  Everything works great, but we had to jump through and tackle many obstacles in order to get there.

The ability to automate many previously manual processes related to AP invoicing was the main highlight of our implementation at Likewize/formerly known as Brightstar.

**What do you dislike about Medius?**

The lack of full reporting capabilities. Many reports that needed to go across different tables had to be built in Power BI.

**What problems is Medius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since we recently implemented the Procurement module, this has opened the ability to process many AP invoices in a 100% touchless manner, leaving AP personnel to use their time for solving more complex issues.

**What do you like best about Medius?**

The tool is all in all easy to use and to handle. Very user-friendly and understandable. It helped us improve processes and find errors in our daily routines. It reduced paying bills for overpriced items, keep track and have a better overview. All invoices are archived in one place and can easily be found.
Furthermore, it is visible who has done what and in which step. One can also see where the invoice is at any time.  It is completely SOX/IKS/Audit conform.  The invoices can be approved with a mobile phone. Therefore the process flow for invoice approval is much faster and more reliable than it was in the past. We are more than satisfied overall with this solution and would recommend it to any company which wants to improve processes and workflow, and ap procedures.

**What do you dislike about Medius?**

The only disadvantage is when you are having "bad" supplier invoices above all for pruchase orders. It can be additional workload if the supplier is not able to adjust the invoice layout in order that the tool can read and learn the invoice properly. Furthermore it would be nice to have an easier setup for purchase order deviation approvals. For instance employee who is responsible approves a unit price deviation for instance but that it then has to additionally be approved by the manager. It might be possible currently but one has to work over approver levels and roles and things, so it is not as easy to set up. But the advantages are overruling the tiny disadvantage.

**Recommendations to others considering Medius:**

Get to know your process and workflow of invoices. Have good Key/super users to train the users. Get the approver level decided before go-live. Have a good supplier relationship so that they are willing to adjust invoices (and if not possible, choose EDI for those if feasible)

**What problems is Medius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wrong item prices in our ERP environment
Inaccurate invoiced prices from suppliers
Easily have invoices connected when goods received has been processed. There is no need to check and verify manually. 
Audit friendly tool
Approver level is set and giving security and four-eye principle 
Have an overview of the open credit notes for inaccurate invoices
History is making it easy to track what happened in every step
The Approval process has improved, and invoices do not get lost anymore
Improvement on month-end closing
Reporting provided for overdue, open, status of invoices

**What do you like best about Medius?**

The advantage is that they are always available to all users. The advantage is also that our auditors have the opportunity to use the system as external users. It is also easy to print or create pdf copies when you have contact with the suppliers during any discussionsQuick process time for handling all invoices. Quick access to all invoices

**What do you dislike about Medius?**

The system can sometimes feel slow for some users. But it can also be due to different connections that users have access to. The cloud solution can be a disadvantage as the internet does not work.

**Recommendations to others considering Medius:**

For any new companies that are considering using Medius, the advantage is that the set-up and testing can be done relatively quickly if the company has the internal resources needed. The advantage is if the finance department and the purchasing department can run the project, as the system advantageously provides simplicity in the accounting system. You don´t have to be a superuser to use Medius, it is a very rapid learning for users.

We use Medius for handling all types of supplier invoices. The advantage is that they are always available to all users. The advantage is also that our auditors have the opportunity to use the system as external users

**What do you like best about Medius?**

The concept of Medius is really great. Especially the automatching and the general user surface for approvers works fine. If all invoices from suppliers were streamlined, then this system would work really well.

**What do you dislike about Medius?**

The Capture solution is working very bad for especially order based invoices. It is very hard for it to read data that are not all in the first line. We are using much more working time to handle these invoices than when we entered them manually, because we are trying to teach the system things that apparently was not possible.
Also, we have come with several improvement suggestions (seen with our eyes) but only few of them are apparently possible to implement.
It would be great for an automatic follow up from consultants, when they see how small the "hit rate" is for capturing instead of us having to reach out. But I also have to say, that they have been open for the dialogue afterwards, which is great.

The option for automatching is improved. So if a product receipt is done after an invoice is received, it will sometimes automatch, so we do not need to look at the invoice again.

The system is so easy to learn and use anywhere, making this a complete electronic solution.  It brings your Accounts Payable department out of the dark ages of paper invoices and makes every task a breeze, right from your desktop.
The system handles the 3-way match process, interfaces with your ERP, and also provides automated work-flow and approval process.

**What do you dislike about Medius?**

The set-up can be a bit involved to configure the system to best suit your needs.

We have realized efficiency in the department. Able to handle the additional workload with the same staffing levels. Also, the ability to view invoice copies immediately is a true game- changer. No more file cabinets !!

It is not possible to automatically match invoices that are not matched themselves because they lack certain details. It would be nice to have more ways to match invoices.

Fast and friendly customer support with excellent knowledge of the product.

Some of the business rule settings are not as intuitive as others, which require some vendor support.
The inability of import EDI file for invoice process with standard North America format (810 format).

Medius customer service is superior to others. They spend the needed time to get to know your business and then execute on the requirements.  They remain there for the testing phase and help users that have any questions.  All of the employees of Medius know the product well.

I cannot think of anything I dislike about them and I really thought about it.

**What problems is Medius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems solved by Medius are the numerous AP invoices that come in are automatically input into our AX system.  This frees up the team to spend time doing more valuable things for the business.

The flow of the system is very user friendly. Setting up0 the accesses and the online Medius portal is very helpful in this process as well

The seamless out of the box integrations with D365 F&O made implementation time quick and painless. The cost value of the platform and customer service is also fantastic!

**What do you dislike about Medius?**

The only issue we have experienced was international date formats required a different company. There is also a little overhead with new vendor invoice format setup.

Be prepared for change management in Accounts Payable and with the business.

We have realized results with business process efficiency and accountability when there is a delay with the process. The software is user friendly and many reports are available.

So many features of MF AP Automation fit our needs. Benefits increase on a monthly basis during the first year of implementation.

**What do you dislike about Medius?**

Three key areas need development:
1. Upload capability of complex requisition detail
2. More open reporting capability on all transaction fields and configuration fields
3. Expand capabilities in requisitions to handle long term PO's

User-friendly and adaptable program compared to others in the AP Automation space. Expanding capabilities will help our growing organization.

Bottlenecks have been identified and resolved, resulting in quicker turnaround and better realization of on-time payments.
