It benefits users in that they don't have to look in multiple locations for images. It serves the business in that only approved images are used by staff. You can search for assets by keyword, file type, date, file name, etc. It's easy to combine multiple search criteria to find exactly the file and version you're looking for. I use it frequently to share files with people outside the organization who don't need a login to download. Also, since a recent update, MediaVale is perfectly usable on the go from mobile browsers, so I can always retrive what I'm looking for without having to pull out my laptop. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** The less favorable aspect of MediaValet until recently was it's lack of a mobile-friendly version, but that has already been fixed. Currenltly, I cannot think of some other aspect that really needs an improvement. **What problems is MediaValet solving and how is that benefiting you?** MediaValet allows us to manage or asset library. We can control access for internal users by providing access to different folders, and we can even share with external users without losing access control. We are also set up so that our customeres can find images with ease, reducing our workload considerably. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** A year in, I wish we had set up our folder structure a little differently or set up a user plan in advance. The options for sharing files are great too, and I use the branded portals feature frequently. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** I think the current user interface could be enhanced to make the overall platform feel more modern and intuitive, and to create streamlined options for tasks that sometimes take many steps such as uploading and reorganizing content. **What problems is MediaValet solving and how is that benefiting you?** Finding content was a struggle prior to using MediaValet, as we previously had content spread across several different filesystem platforms and data structures. The biggest is that I like how versatile it is – we can house many different file formats, and have it organized exactly how we need it. We have unlimited users - a plus for a larger employee base - but as the admin, I can control exactly how much access groups have to specific content. Overall it is very easy to use, and the customer support Is top notch. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** Uploading is a bit of a chore - there are a lot of windows to click through. Thankfully some have bulk options, but it can take a bit to get it all uploaded. **What problems is MediaValet solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed a place to store not only our image-based assets such as photography and logos, but videos as well. We were able to cut down from 4 scattered decentralized storage locations to one. With it's strong search functions and capacity for organization wide use it's proved invaluable. But by far the best thing about Mediavalet is the customer support their team has made what would be a near impossible task manageable as we migrated tens of terrabytes from a varity of platforms. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** My main complaint would be the unapproachability of the platform. It takes some meaningful training to get a handle on. We never really knew or understood what was expected of us and didn't feel very supported at all and set it all up on our own basically. One thing to currently consider is your folder structure. If not thought out correctly, a folder limit of '50 deep' may impact some aspects of the DAM. This however is easily avoided through proper folder structure setup and planning. **What problems is MediaValet solving and how is that benefiting you?** We previously had no DAM in place and were using multiple solutions to store and share our digital assets. This meant multiple billing accounts, multiple system administrators and a lack of knowledge as staff turnover impacted some of these previously setup systems/accounts. We have uploaded most of our digital content and are syncing it to ecommerce apllications. I like that I can setup our vendors with limited permissions, so that we can work with many company's but keep everything private. A side benefit that we discovered is I can make separate public portals for our distributors, dealers and corporate customers. We have made 16 branded Public Portals for our parent company and others for clients that keep their products separate. Other DAM Platforms have limited Public Portals and users, Media Valet has unlimited, and that was a major advantage over the others, let alone the cost differential. I was easily able to define separate permissions for our internal departments and vendors, and have integrated operating procedures for our staffing. As the Digital Asset Manager for our company I utilize the platform daily uploading content, changing content, setting up new vendors, etc. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** We use hyphanated part#'s which is a problem when searching on the public portals. We have found a few work arounds and I have added "Tips" to the top of the pages on the portals for searching. One other nuisance, I cannot change the name of a file that has been uploaded to the platform. If a name change is required, the asset must be deleted and re-uploaded to change the name. Customer Support is "okay" for the most part. Unfortunately when we started utilizing the platform we were in our busy season, so could not spend the time with them for learning the system, but as stated earlier, the platform was easy to understand. Our learning curve wasn't bad, we are still learning nuance's. I have asked questions a few times via the Tech Support Channels and have had some lengthy waits before receiving a responce, but this is rare. **What problems is MediaValet solving and how is that benefiting you?** We previously used an FTP site to share resources with our customers and vendors. MediaValet's platform is so much better for this application, and as we are using the platform as a single source of information, it helps keep all of our assets availble to the pertinent teams and customers. ### 37. I love that I can visually see 200 assets at time. I love that the artificial intelligence, keywords, and categories make it easy to find everything I need. And I especially love the branded portals so I can curate the assets for the needs of the franchisees each quarter. Working with Marketing Firms is easier. Working with our Europe branches is easier. So many of the things that took an hour here and an hour there are eliminated. We would have never been able to hit deadlines after covid hit and our labor was drastically cut if we had not already created our DAM with Media Valet. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** I wish I could choose how the categories are listed and not require an alphanumeric system—using a number before the category has been a simple workaround. But it has worked great. **Recommendations to others considering MediaValet:** This is one of the best decisions we made. Media Valet's DAM helped us through the critical pandemic time even on a reduced creative team. It has improved the franchisees experience and their perception of the service the marketing department gives them. The DAM was a win for everyone: us, franchisees, media buyers, international operations, and the creative video creation teams. **What problems is MediaValet solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used to spend a lot of time finding assets for franchisees and media buyers. We also got requests to make the same changes to a promotion over and over again. Different members of the team would get the request and not know someone else already made that alteration. So we repeated a lot of work. And franchisees were often frustrated that they would have to wait a few days to get the material they needed. There were so many phone calls and email request us to find and make the quick change they needed. It was difficult to have time to do the real creative work that needed to be done. Thankfully, we purchased into the system in October so by March Media Valet was completely up and functional. When covid-19 hit an our hours were drastically reduced we were able to meet demand by creating ahead of time what we thought the franchisee would need and put them in a curated portal for just that brand's covid response assets. The franchisees could look quickly at what was already created and then ask for a word or two be changed for their situation. With over 6000 assets created during that 45 day period, we were able to give every franchisee what they needed. ### 47.
