Median.co makes something that's normally very difficult and expensive, easy and affordable, developing an app for both Android and iOS has never been this easy. The customer support has also been an enormous help throughout the entire process, nothing was ever too much to ask, and every request, no matter how big or small, was answered and resolved at an unprecedented speed. The pricing structure is opaque, and once you sign an agreement even with an annual package, they will attempt to upcharge you for any additional plugins that are labeled as included with that package. Be sure to discuss pricing fully before signing an agreement with the company, as they will attempt to upcharge you for anything and everything extra. I truly appreciate the ease of setting up Median.co; it was straightforward, and I encountered no issues. In median.co i like the most that how our app is editable without the native code ex. In my app the location sharing options is there so that location access and settings are there in this software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Our company was in need of a couple of apps that could be installed from the app stores by customers. We did have a talented software developer, but his resources were tied up in other efforts, and so we did not have someone dedicated to developing Android and iOS apps. We looked into hiring a 3rd party developer to assist, but then came across Median.co. What we loved most about it was that we were able to instantly preview and customize the app in the browser without having to go through the app stores. We could get everything just right first, and then test directly on our devices once we were happy. It was extremely easy to get the branding implemented across the icons, splash screens, etc. We then were able to use their services to actually prepare our app for publishing and get it onto the app stores. I’ve been using Median.co back when it was Native.io. It has been a great service and works well for my clients. The instant app availability, and dev environment that can be shared within minutes, lets me showcase how my responsive websites will work in the web as well as an installed app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only thing I dislike about Median.co is the lack of native app functionality in some cases. We have some needs that result in consultant developers recommending going outside of the product, but the maintenance and baseline app of Median is necessary so we end up forgoing that functionality the client wants. Median.co with it's GoNative product has a very straightforward, easy to learn and implenment tool for converting web apps into fully functional native apps. I am slightly familiar with coding but not an expert by any means so it was amazing to have a software that helped us get our custom webflow site into a native app easily and quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is a little unclear how to actually implement custom native add on features for someone who is not an expert in coding. I know I can add them but it was hard for me to explore each add on to see how to implement it without paying for it. They might have updated since I last searched their add on features. The customization features are amazing and prevent you from having to do a whole bunch of coding in-app or in XCode— it makes everything so easy and smooth to upload to the App and Play Store. But the real lifesaver for me was the download build feature for both iOS and Android. We needed to get an app up and running quickly during the COVID pandemic to better support our customer base. Median (GoNative at the time) made it very quick and easy, we were able to get an app up and running within 2 weeks, which was outstanding! Not necessarily a downside, but if your not a technical person, there is a lot of considerations to make on your app, so it requires some time to go through all the options and understand everything. It's all important stuff, but I can see how it can be confusing to someone who isn't familiar with it, which is why they are probably hitting Median's site in the first place, because they don't have any tech ability to write their own app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
