Like all new-to-market products and services, there are still some gaps in functionality and one or two known issues that you need to work around, but Wilderness is closing these gaps with each release.

1. The Meadow F7 alone can be up and running, connected via Wifi and Bluetooth, blinking an LED with smallest amount code.

While the Meadow IoT Platform has a strong driver library to support the most common IoT components on the market, there will always be the need to support more.

The plus here is that the device driver library is open source. Meaning that if there isn't a driver for your particular device, it's not too far of a jump to build it using open source device framework along with support from their team and the community. As a .NET developer, being able to use the same code platform for both backend server development and front-end device development dramatically increases efficiency and reduces time-to-market. In addition, the sames development staff can be used for both ends of the product, increasing institutional knowledge and speeding development and debugging. As with any new product, challenges arise in features yet developed, and bugs yet fixed, however I have thoroughly enjoyed the entire development journey with Meadow, and have successfully created the product I set out to create, and did so beyond any expectations I could have had.
