First of all, this excellent company offers a very accurate spam filter. Their well-designed security system has a full line of custom settings to make sure even the most aggressive spammers don't put any of their garbage spam in your inbox. Secondly, their spam filter makes sure your valid emails don't end up in the quarantine area. False positives are a weakness of many competitors. Adding in protection for many other forms of email assault, such as phishing and viruses, you now have the best security system for your email. The cost of their Security Gateway is much more competitive than any of the other security vendors. If you are looking for high-quality security protection at a very fair price, you must give these folks a try. Their personalized tech support is also top-shelf and very refreshing. Security Gateway is a very easy platform to install, very light and with a very friendly administration.

Something positive is that it does not consume many server resources, I have validated it in a physical and virtual environment, its impeccable performance, to have historical logs if it occupies a lot of space.

The updates sometimes generate problems and the support is limited in schedule, the forums exist, but the times are very high.

In our company we can stay more calm because we implement its security measures that are highly reliable and capable of protecting all our emails, blocking threats in a detailed way, managing to eliminate the maximum possible amount, among these are viruses, spam, phishing, rasomware that are the ones that most try to filter in our system. We implement this solution as the main source of threat detection to nourish ourselves with its tools and improve our workflow thanks to its rapid analysis of emails. It is an application that in terms of function and efficiency has no problems, however, visually it is not a powerhouse on the market. Certainly this type of software is more sought after due to the powerful of its tools and the quality of results, but there are companies that also want to implement innovative platforms in all aspects, but it is not a feature of great relevance for us, and therefore we can navigate in it in search of its great management results. I like the fact that you can give domain admins access to their specific domains, global or domain specific functions, and that there are a lot of options for fine tuning. It works well for spam filtering.

Since I wrote this, MDaemon has updated their product to include high availability and thus I've moved that from the "dislike" to the "like" category. Thanks guys for listening to your feedback and creating features that we are looking for! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

They need to work with interfacing with 3rd party antiviruses and separate command line functions that can run external scripts against the email before delivery. Lastly, it needs a service/backup/issue monitoring tool that will notify admins if there are problems. When problems do pop up, we have to use a 3rd party tool to recognize them (such as the service dying for no reason) as SG doesn't send us any warnings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is an easy platform to implement, configure and use. It works perfectly as a filter for spam, phishing and virus emails. Once the configuration is completed successfully, no further intervention is required. Its cost is really good, accessible for all the benefits it provides. Notifications are explicit so it is easy to know what the problem is. The support is excellent, the few problems that came our way were fixed in a very short time. It is not a problem in itself but we would like them to add an integration with Outlook or Gmail that allows to automatically include emails to a white or black list. It is a powerful email protection for the entire organization with which our workflow has been strengthened thanks to the improvement of our security measures. Its tools are capable of protecting all the email platforms we use, to avoid dealing with conflicts caused by viruses, spam, phishing, data leaks, rasomware and other network threats. By using Security Gateway the detection of email threats is much more possible and in turn we use their policy enforcement tools to maintain a good flow of emails to and from users. The appearance of the interface is not the most up-to-date, there are several aspects that can be worked on to make it more attractive, and it can be better viewed by users who are driven by the visual aspect and not by the functions. My favourite feature of Security Gateway is the system administration tools that is very easy to configure and maintain the system.

Setting up accounts, removing inactive accounts, configuring dial upaccess to remote SMTP servers, manage mailing lists and checking fo rsoftware updates is just completed by a few clicks.

I love that remote admnistration is supported via the web application.It protects our servers against mutilple attacks by offering tools that stops theft ,abuse and unathorized access to servers or accounts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I do not have anything i dislike about the software only that it requires someone with IT knowledge to run the system well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

SecurityGateway does a great job filtering out unwanted emails and makes it easy to manage from either the web interface or the daily summary emails. The ability to merge my multiple email accounts in to one SG account allows for quick review of quarantined messages. I've been using SG since it's inception and have been a lifelong fan of AltN.
