What do you like best about MATLAB?

It is beginner friendly and easy to use. Coming from someone who used to work using C and C++, MATLAB was surprisingly easy to adapt due to its simple syntax and abundant availability of code examples. It has a lot of inbuilt libraries for several applications like running simulations, math libraries, machine learning libraries, etc... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MATLAB?

It is not free to use; unlike most other beginner-friendly programming languages like Python which are free and open source, MATLAB requires a subscription for personal use. When I was in college, I had a student account that was free, but then I had to pay to use MATLAB for useful applications. There are basic versions and online VMs but for production, these cannot be used.

Apart from that, I felt using MATLAB is difficult when the device runs on a lower-end processor, this was the case for me in college, but now having a good pc did make a difference, but I've always felt the hardware dependence reduces production efficiency. What do you like best about MATLAB?

The best thing about MATLAB is its apps, which help me do long and tedious tasks instantly. From Fuzzy logic designer to Signal Analyzer, most apps have helped me do my studies quickly without coding extensively for them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MATLAB?

While it is a powerful tool, the pricing is a bit too much for a student who is already spending too much on their study. I would like it if the prices were a bit low and they provided some app features for free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about MATLAB?

Easy to use. Easy to debug. Clean, friendly, and appealing interface. I am always finding additional features that I enjoy, either those that have been around a long time but I never discovered before or new features just added. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MATLAB?

Not much to dislike. I guess the high cost of licenses are a negative, but are understandable given the amount of engineering that goes into this product. It can't be easy to produce an application of this complexity while keeping bugs to such a minimum. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about MATLAB?

Its debugger is easy to use, lots of support online. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MATLAB?

GUI capability is a little lacking. App designer was a good step forward, but compared to Python there are limited options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about MATLAB?

The platform is highly intuitive and easy to use. It natively supports a wide range of complex mathematical operations like numerical optimization, matrix manipulation, and handling tensors of higher orders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MATLAB?

Though MATLAB is easy and robust for building University projects or small-scale proofs-of-concept, not suitable for deploying heavy products in the industry. As it is not open-source, one has a limited understanding of what is happening under the hood, and it makes it hard to debug errors. Additionally, a limited number of packages are available in MATLAB for machine learning making people to shift to other programming langugaes like python Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about MATLAB?

The best thing about Matlab is it's beginner friendly. The platform is easy to learn and use. It supports a wide range of mathematical functions to the extent that even researchers use it. It has robust data visualisation capabilities, making it a go-to tool for industrial and scientific computation. Its graphical interface allows for efficient handling of matrices and vectors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MATLAB?

It is an excellent tool for learning, but it's not suitable for deploying industrial projects. It's a great learning tool for students, but since it is not open-sourced, customisation based on the use case is impossible. Also, it's slightly overpriced, given most of its competitors are open-sourced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about MATLAB?

It has a user-friendly interface which makes it easy for beginners to learn the software within the earliest time possible. As it provides a vast and extensive collection of specialized toolbox and library, one can tackle complex problems including signal processing, control systems and more. It also has powerful data visualization capabilities which makes it a complete package for scientific computation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MATLAB?

As MATLAB is a closed-source software, it can sometimes restrict customization according to the user's requirement and also at times hinder the ability to modify and extend its functionality. The licensing fees can be expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about MATLAB?

User friendly and appealing interface of matlab makes it such a worthwhile experience to use on your projects. The apps in MATLAB helps me solve long and tedious problems in short span of time. Highly recommended tool for college students and working professionals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MATLAB?

MATLAB is very expensive specially for college students. Apart from this I don't find anything which can be counted as a negative thing about Matlab. If they decrease the cost of license, it will add a great value to the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about MATLAB?

This platform is easy to learn and use, so the students at the university where I work prefer it over other applications or programming languages. Its graphical interface allows for efficient handling of matrices and vectors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MATLAB?

The syntax of MATLAB is sometimes restrictive, and it is necessary to turn to other solutions with greater programming flexibility. It is beneficial for classes and not very large projects but unsuitable for developing larger-scale software applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about MATLAB?

MATLAB is very beginner friendly. It's very easy to start using MATLAB. Everything is integrated here so you don't face the hassle of setting up before you start implementing your projects here. I really love the way it simplifies rendering graphs and plots. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MATLAB?

Sometimes it gets a little slow compared to other programming languages. Also it's little on the pricier side which makes it less accissible among students. Other than these two things it's a highly reliable tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
