Starting from segmentation, we get all the basic and advanced tools like region growing which works very intelligently. Automated segmentation is another feature which may attract other users. The USP of Mimics has to be the implant design and surgical planning feature, within a few clicks we can generate a basic design for a PSI, or jigs. **What do you dislike about Materialise Mimics Care Suite?** The cost is on the higher side from it's competitors like Simpleware for the base module also. Mimics is also less user-friendly than Simpleware and I find the segmentation and meshing capabilities of Simpleware better. As mimics suite is primarily intended to be used for medical applications, it has best tools that you may need in the process. Teaching licenses are also not available in Mimics. **What problems is Materialise Mimics Care Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** We mainly study surgical planning and improvements of material for PSI. We use the tool for our complete workflow of surgical planning. It is very easy to use and offers medical specific tools, like for PSI and guides design. **What do you dislike about Materialise Mimics Care Suite?** The price of the package is extremely high as compared to it's competitor, Simpleware software, although it has more features. The segmentation process could be more simpler, and easy to use as in Simpleware. **What problems is Materialise Mimics Care Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** We design PSIs and surgical guides by using this tool. Recently surgical planning is also being done here. This tool has definitely improved our processes and made us more efficient. ### 4. Also the view and edit in 3D is great. The option of multiple masks is great and Boolean difference on masks provides great help while doing segmentation. The colors and other presets are also nice. Live Wire tool is very helpful to identify the structures and contrast and brightness adjustment is also a nice feature. **What do you dislike about Materialise Mimics Care Suite?** The auto segmentation wizard for CT is not efficient and also the viewing is not great. all the three planes cannot be imported at once. Also strict mode doesn't allow input of certain types which is hindrance in efficient usage. **Recommendations to others considering Materialise Mimics Care Suite:** It is a great software if you can afford it. Segmentation is very quick within 10 minutes you can obtain the results. **What problems is Materialise Mimics Care Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** Segmentation was a major problem when we plan virtual surheries and simulation.
