There are some areas that could use improvement such as customization for columns that remain static in both search and my tasks. Customization of my tasks is a big one. There are also areas of document control that need improvement (no reject of DC collaboration, and the ability for a reject workflow to go through without all original collaborators signing off on the revisions). The fact that the original modules work slightly different makes it hard for buy in and hard to train end users. I find the end-user interface challenging to navigate. It's not always user-friendly, which can cause issues, especially for users who are not familiar with the system. The aspect we dislike about the system are the J reports. We find it fairly difficult to create a report or pull any data from the system. As the business grows and changes, so do our requirements. I've been using MasterControl’s Qx module for a just under two years now. Having everything integrated into one system is incredibly convenient. It simplifies document management, training, audits, and quality events. The document management feature is probably the most noticeable advantage. Instead of dealing with scattered paper files, everything we need is right there in the system. It’s hassle-free, and the approval process is so much smoother. It’s made it easier to keep track of what’s complete and what’s pending. Tracking employee training is another huge advantage. We use Qx to manage all of our SOP training. I no longer have to go through individual personnel files to make sure they’re up to date on their training because the system tracks everything for me.
