While Massdriver is a robust platform, one minor hiccup is the lack of widespread information and ready-made solutions available on popular forums like StackOverflow. This means you can't always rely on a quick Google search for solutions. However, this minor drawback is more than compensated for by their support chat in the Slack workspace. The direct access to Massdriver engineers is invaluable. In fact, I've even contributed a module myself, and they're open to and appreciative of contributions from everyone. I have been using Massdriver for about 6 months and it has helped me a lot to save time provisioning new services and infrastructure modules in no time. It has helped me with deployments, secrets management, provisioning, environments management all whilst ensuring best security practices. As the Head of Engineering at a small tech startup it has helped me optimise my time and focus on other important tasks without compromising on the quality of our backend infrastructure. I also like the fact that you can make suggestions on new features and vote for suggestions by other users, that helps Massdriver to shape the tool in a way that suits all of their clients. I have had a few issues when provisioning some services and the errors that I was displayed were not the most useful for me at the time, however the team at Massdriver are super prompt with responding and helping me resolve any issues. They have also been working hard to address some of these issues and I am sure the platform will become more and more stable as they are always working hard to improve it and listen to user's feedback. The employees of massdriver are incredibly attentive and helpful. Setting up all these resources manually with terraform can be incredibly time consuming so to be able to offload some of that is awesome, and they also do a great job of giving base templates.
