## MarkUp Reviews
 ### 1. Capable Creative Feedback Platform, BUT...

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe M. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2025

**What do you like best about MarkUp?**

Ease of use to provide QA feedback on creative projects. The annotations and screen/page captures are great, and the technical data helps. The multi-user environment is nice. I like that it was a self-service setup and no lengthy sales process.

**What do you dislike about MarkUp?**

Data is locked up in the platform and is not exportable. The Zapier integration doesn't support a historical sync, so it only works for projects in the future.

**What problems is MarkUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Website QA

 ### 2. absolute game-changer for ecommerce website development

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave C. | Director of Delivery, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2024

**What do you like best about MarkUp?**

What truly sets MarkUp.io apart is its ability to reduce review loops, enable teams to do their best work, and keep everyone involved and satisfied in the process. This has been instrumental in streamlining our workflow and ensuring that our projects move forward efficiently and effectively.

It has made communication among our team and clients easier and saved countless hours and headaches. We have integrated it directly into our ClickUp, reducing our time spent collecting, organizing, and creating tickets for the developers to address.

It was super simple to get started, quick script installs into the platform, and we were off. But you can also start collecting feedback without the script, making it super simple for all.

**What do you dislike about MarkUp?**

We have found no downsides yet, customer support, pricing and ease of implementation have been excellent.

**What problems is MarkUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our UAT process with clients has improved greatly and allowed clients to easily provide us feedback on changes or bugs found.

 ### 3. Love using Markup - the perfect tool for myself and my clients!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sally P. | Graphic & Web Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2023

**What do you like best about MarkUp?**

Love using Markup. I am a web designer and use this tool with clients to take feedback and edits through the design and build. All my clients find it very easy to use and it ensures I know exactly where and what they want changed/edited on their sites - such a great tool for me to collate feedback.

**What do you dislike about MarkUp?**

Nil - haven't experienced any downsides.

**What problems is MarkUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlining my revision process for web design and builds - ensures we all are on the same page without me having to hunt around through multiple emails and messages trying to find where edits are to take place. Ensures I know exactly what they want and where those changes are to be made.

 ### 4. Its collaborative capabilities allow everyone to work together to find the best answers.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammed A. | Quantity Surveyor (Post Contract), Construction, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2023

**What do you like best about MarkUp?**

I like MarkUp's intuitive design, which helps everyone learn it quickly, and its many ready-made templates, which make it easy to create the right model for the topic we're discussing. MarkUp keeps teams on track with cooperation and communication. Markup boards are great for brainstorming, problem-solving, and interactive meetings. I appreciate using emojis, shapes, and graphics to create a process model or gather team members' thoughts on a problem, including those of external parties. I appreciate that it's easy to share, and it's wonderful for brainstorming, planning, and creating stunning graphics for reporting.

**What do you dislike about MarkUp?**

Not much to complain about; all settings are basic and easy to comprehend; however, additional coordination choices are needed because the existing scenario is not flexible enough.

**What problems is MarkUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MarkUp allowed us to cooperate by preparing everything we needed and discussing the smallest details, as well as ensuring the participation of all team members and obtaining their approval of the proposals, which kept everything organized and shortened many procedures and meetings that were ineffective in the past.

 ### 5. My Hands On Experience With Markup.io by Ceros

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhishek P. | Search Engine Optimization Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2023

**What do you like best about MarkUp?**

I really like the pinned feedback commenting system in Markup.io, which is almost similar to other tools like XD, Figma, and Invision. The ability to leave feedback on desktop, tablet and mobile versions of a website without leaving the browser is a huge plus. I also appreciate the publicly sharable links feature, making it easy for my team to view and respond to feedback on a certain image or website.

**What do you dislike about MarkUp?**

I am disappointed that Markup.io does not support .fig files from Figma. I have to go through the extra step of exporting my designs as a PDF before being able to use them in Markup.io. It's an extra hassle that I would prefer not to have to deal with.

**What problems is MarkUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall, it's a great tool for designers, content strategists, and developers to communicate visual website feedback, especially in remote work. It has dramatically improved communication and collaboration within my team, making the feedback process more efficient and effective.

 ### 6. Markup Collaborative Annotation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin H. | Director, Center for Teaching & Learning; Asst. Profess, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2023

**What do you like best about MarkUp?**

MarkUp excels in its simplicity - it's just incredibly easy to use right from the start. This for me is an essential characteristic of any collaborative tool. Where this is quite strong compared to competitors is that the commenting/annotation feature is not just a comment box and file attachment space, but a full-on rich text editor. Unlimited users even on the free account was a great introduction to the tool as well!

**What do you dislike about MarkUp?**

I don't have any complaints about the tool itself, but the pricing seemed a bit steep for such a simple tool. For my professional use this would not necessarily be a daily use product (although I'd certainly use it perhaps once a week), so it's hard to justify the pricetag.

**What problems is MarkUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I collaborate with colleagues around content creation i wanted a tool that was easy to use yet also had a robust enough feature set for actual collaboration to take place within the tool. I would love to explore using this with my students as I could see it within online or blended courses where we examine art, political cartoons, documents, etc. If you are willing to think creatively about what you annotate, the sky's the limit with a tool like this.

 ### 7. Simple and effective.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2023

**What do you like best about MarkUp?**

I love how easy it is to provide essential feedback to someone asking for it.

**What do you dislike about MarkUp?**

When I last used it, there was no automation to send approvals through to others once it was approved by one person.

**What problems is MarkUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Markup solves the problem of feedback that is captured in a really easy and intuitive way. This leads to more productivity and increased business performance. Many others would benefit for using this.

 ### 8. easy to use, share, learn

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean W. | Account Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2023

**What do you like best about MarkUp?**

Markup is great because our clients can click exactly where they would like to see edits and we can make them. The fact that it has a browsing feature and is able to be implemented on so many different mediums is fantastic. From websites to PDFs it's very useful.

It's also very easy to learn and share.

**What do you dislike about MarkUp?**

The worst thing about Markup and really my only complaint is that it takes a long time for websites to load sometimes. If Markup can improve their speed, then it is no doubt a 10/10 service. Right now it's 9/10

**What problems is MarkUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gathers specific client feedback. It's also very quick.

Rather than detailing each problem on each page in an email that takes 20 minutes to write, they can make comments in 5 minutes and I'll receive a notification.

 ### 9. Helps my projects run smoothly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sophie J. | Website Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2023

**What do you like best about MarkUp?**

It helps my projects run smoothly, and is a great tool to visually provide comments to clients and get their specific feedback too. It saves on any confusion as well

**What do you dislike about MarkUp?**

The new paid models need to have more options. I understand that they want to be paid for the service/tool, but it would be great to have some other tiers (especially multiple workspaces for lower end - as this is not for an internal team, but to use for client projects)

**What problems is MarkUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Client feedback - reducing communication errors, helps to look professional

 ### 10. Best Collaborative Website!!!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sneha V. | Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2023

**What do you like best about MarkUp?**

The simplicity of the product is one of the best things that I liked about MarukUp. Apart from it, the collaborative comments are one of the significant parts to mention.

**What do you dislike about MarkUp?**

I have started using MarukUp now, and as far as I am concerned, it is working fine for me; just the website needs to add the Figma integration, which would be helpful to import data.

**What problems is MarkUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

During our work for the club, MarkUp has emerged as helping to comment collaboratively on the project and deliver feedback, thereby increasing work productivity.

 ### 11. Awesome tool for work!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juraj V. | Lead Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2023

**What do you like best about MarkUp?**

Markup is great tool that helps me and my team to mark all mistakes when we are building websites or web applications. It has some awesome features that makes it so fun to use!

**What do you dislike about MarkUp?**

There is no a single thing i dont like! :)

**What problems is MarkUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Markup is solving problems with marking up mistakes. Before we had to do everything over e-mail, now i can just pin a comment.

 ### 12. Changes the QA Game for the Better

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefanie C. | Search Engine Optimization Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2023

**What do you like best about MarkUp?**

The ability to comment on website changes before launch.

**What do you dislike about MarkUp?**

I dont have any downsides to report on. This product is awesome.

**What problems is MarkUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to comment on changes is needed and get really specific about where and what. Also for everyone on the team to be able to see what needs to be updated and or looked at.

 ### 13. Revolutionary Collaboration Tool: MarkUp.io earns 5-star rating for Streamlining Web Design and Devs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2023

**What do you like best about MarkUp?**

The most helpful feature of MarkUp.io is its ability to allow team members to leave comments and suggestions directly on a website, streamlining the design review process. The platform's intuitive interface makes it easy to use, and the real-time updates and notifications keep everyone on the same page. The ability to assign tasks and track progress is also a helpful feature for managing projects. Additionally, integrating with popular tools like Slack and Trello makes collaboration even more seamless, which is very helpful for remote teams.

**What do you dislike about MarkUp?**

I couldn't find any significant negative feedback of it. However, as with any tool, there may be some features or capabilities that users find less helpful or may be missing.

**What problems is MarkUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For Me, MarkUp.io provides a simple, intuitive and effective solution for web design and development teams to collaborate and review their work, which results in faster project completion and improved communication.

We have already been using this product for last few months now and we have found a great help to get feedback from customers, clients, partners, teams, etc., and its the best fit to our company.

**What do you dislike about MarkUp?**

Its pretty easy to start with this product and its even has a free forever plan to get started and has the easiest way to get feedback. No complains so far. Its the great product.

**What problems is MarkUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have found this product a great help to get comments, and feedbacks on ease. Its pretty easy to start with the tool and has the best interface and we can have as many workspaces as possible.

 ### 15. Easy solution for feedback exchange

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dominika L. | Web Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2023

**What do you like best about MarkUp?**

Ease of use (especially for the clients)

**What do you dislike about MarkUp?**

Sometimes it takes a little while to load a new url (some clients have complained that they wait for a long time until they can see the loaded website that they want to review

**What problems is MarkUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Back and forth with clients via email when reviewing a website design project

 ### 16. Love Makrup.io!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2023

**What do you like best about MarkUp?**

How easy it is to make edits and collaborate with other team members.

**What do you dislike about MarkUp?**

Nothing. It functions perfectly as we need.

**What problems is MarkUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick edits that may be hard to explain via email. It lets you see exactly where edits and fixes are needed.

 ### 17. Lmarkup is the best collaborating tool to get your project developed, exactly as per your vision

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2022

**What do you like best about MarkUp?**

The feature to comment on mobile and tablet view was the best for me as i can get the client review on each kind of devices

**What do you dislike about MarkUp?**

We can comment on hidden elements but they are not shown so for me it is sometimes hard to find the exact element where the client is commenting else it is a great platform I would say.

**What problems is MarkUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm using markup to get the feedbacks from the client , once I'm done with my development so I can directly get my client review on each section, page or element

 ### 18. Excellent way to save time getting feedback

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keith E. | Web Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2021

**What do you like best about MarkUp?**

We save time and money by getting quick, concise feedback on designs and copy for all our web projects. It is very easy to leave comments right on a website page and get detailed feedback with no doubt about what needs to be changed or where. There is very little need for feedback in email or any other app.

**What do you dislike about MarkUp?**

We can click links while marking up a site, which is excellent. However, it can be hard to tell which page you are viewing feedback on within Markup. Comments are in the sidebar and sectioned off per page, but the starting page doesn't show the link. Other than that, it is really hard to complain.

**Recommendations to others considering MarkUp:**

I suggest making a walk-through video for clients to get them acquainted with the app when they first start. They will need to sign up for their own FREE account to get the best use out of it.

There is a settings cog in the bottom left when marking up. Click it and tick the boxes for "Send email notifications" and "Add screenshots to comments". This will save you headaches!

Share with their email address and they will get a link to collaborate in their inbox.

Finally, label your Markup pages and organize them instead of deleting when done. This will leave a record of requests and changes.

**What problems is MarkUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Whenever we start a new project, and it is ready for client feedback, we share the link and they mark up the page by clicking directly on the area that needs to be changed. Then they type in their comments and attach an image or links if necessary. They can even embed a Loom video right into the comments, which has been amazing because they can explain more complex problems or why they are asking for something.

If you visit the Markup page after changes have been made, you can still see a screenshot in the original state that has a pin on the location they clicked. This way there is never any doubt over what has to be changed.

We use Notion for project management and all we have to is add the Markup link for each page into the Notion task. (Insert whatever tool you are using here.)

We now have workspaces so we can separate projects and clients to keep all the Markup pages organized.

 ### 19. A great tool to review Mockups and Websites

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lorenzo H. | CTO & Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2022

**What do you like best about MarkUp?**

Ease of use, fast set-up & intuitive interface.

**What do you dislike about MarkUp?**

Pretty happy with it, would be great to have an integration to access a Figma Project directly and navigate throughout the screens.

**Recommendations to others considering MarkUp:**

Order your Mockups inside the same project & sort them correctly to ensure user understanding

**What problems is MarkUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All comments and reviews of the mockups and website design are now centralized in one platform, organized by projects and each comment is directly linked to the specific item on the screen.

 ### 22. Great Visual for Clients

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Crystal D. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2022

**What do you like best about MarkUp?**

I love the new folder system, where I can share a folder/workspace with a client so they can see all of the pages for their product.

**What do you dislike about MarkUp?**

Sometimes the comments can get a touch wonky, but hopefully the context of the comment helps with exact placement issues.

**What problems is MarkUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am way more efficiently able to receive feedback from clients, talk about a specific feedback item, and alert them when it is executed.

 ### 23. It significantly improved our workflow!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Piotr N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2020

**What do you like best about MarkUp?**

It's seamless. You just pick a website and you're set - you can start commenting. It's also actively developed so a new feature every day.

**What do you dislike about MarkUp?**

There are still some UI things to work on, but the team is responsive to address them

**Recommendations to others considering MarkUp:**

Just try it, it takes 2minutes to start and it's hard to go back.

**What problems is MarkUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a clucky process to talk present and gather feedback about websites that we're developing for our clients. Suddenly, they can point to the things they are commenting on. No more this "you know, the button under the logo..." guesswork.

 ### 24. Very cool collaborative tool for marking up / making notes about live websites

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2020

**What do you like best about MarkUp?**

Being able to markup and make notes on a live site (staging or production) is incredibly useful for UX / development communications.

**What do you dislike about MarkUp?**

I'd like more options for listing the notes taken, like maybe a compressed list?

**What problems is MarkUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time savings on the effort spent describing where on the website you are trying to direct someone's attention. We have seen a great opportunity for communicating more effectively with clients about website features and fixes/changes.

 ### 25. It will change the feedback for designers/developers!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2020

**What do you like best about MarkUp?**

the ability to comment directly in front end is awesome

**What do you dislike about MarkUp?**

maybe be a young product so perfectible!

**What problems is MarkUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

no more screenshot ^^
