MarketMuse not only helps us optimize our existing content, but it gives us clear data on other topics and areas of content we can create or improve. Our writers love it because we can help them revise their work for further impact. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Oftentimes the results take some time to load but that seems to be improving, still would love the data much quicker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the UX of the tool. It provides so much powerful data and insights on our content while being very easy to navigate. The onboarding is easy and intuitive. We didn't waste our writers' time with training, which usually is a pain with other SEO software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish it was a bit faster, although I understand that this is not an easy task given the amount of data they need to constantly process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I run an ecom portfolio and ecom is notoriously hard to write a lot of varied blog content for. MarketMuse helped us uncover golden nuggets of opportunity to write content that has helped move our blog to 10% of traffic. This has helped our topical authority for SEO, increased rankings and moved the overall organic search revenue in excess of the cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No real dislikes. It really pays for itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We are a small company in a very competitive market - always chasing for top positions like everyone else. However, when our head company threw down a challenge - move five top ROI keywords into positions you covet, I had to give it a try. We don't have a great deal of money to spend on video, so MarketMuse was my answer and boy did it perform! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish briefs were more readily available. Although we can surely make magic happen without briefs, if you really want to crank up the content volume the briefs will help immensely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The recommendations are actionable and they remove the problem of opinion overload when planning our calendar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Product wasn't as accessible to us when we were really small and lacked capital. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The applications are really helpful because you can prioritize topics and pages according to what has the best potential.
Saves me a ton of time!! Now I don't have to manually look at every single SERP for a topic I'd like our team to write about. I'm the sole manager of our content strategy so using MarketMuse saves me time, stress, and eliminates human error.
I feel like they update their product fairly often.
Can identify gaps in our content marketing strategy
Can see how competitors are performing on any given topic
Can see what content you already have that should be optimized
Their content briefs are helpful, can hand these off to our freelancers for them to easily execute
Good blogs on their site are helpful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the Applications load a little slowly, nothing ever takes more than 1-2 minutes but I find myself often getting pulled into other work while things load.
99.5% of the data is clean & spot on, but sometimes the Questions tab will pull questions that aren't very relevant (some are goofy though, so it's a good laugh)
Wish there were more onboarding documents - I think that a lot of people are still used to looking at volume to determine what is worth writing about. The switch from thinking about KW volume to thinking about topic comprehensiveness & clusters is difficult, and it's especially difficult to defend internally to people who "know just enough to be dangerous" about SEO. Immediate insights on topic coverage in regard to our own content performance and also our competitors. Hands on support team and training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Definetly a learning curve for content strategist although this is manageable and worth the effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This tool is amazing if you want to be before your competitors. It's so easy to put keywords that they have not used and I like how efficient it is in telling you the score of your article in comparison with the one that is firstly ranked. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There isn't anything I dislike about it. The tool is very efficient and is fast, which is really surprising even for long articles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to see word count for top ranking articles and see what words are common across the top performing articles. The charts to export the data are great and a nice single view to get all of the data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The information isn't detailed enough. It will tell me if the keyword have high, medium, or low search volume, but I don't know what number classifies a search volume as "high." To really understand the potential for a keyword to rank, I have to use a second tool. The same goes for what words I should include in an article: It will tell you how many times a word is mentioned, but not if it's in any h2 or h3 headers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
