Community open source based I do think is the best part about MariaDB, so its able to support a lot of things like framework languages (Java, Python, C) and more which is regularly maintained and I do think that wide scope has significant advantages. On premise option against cloud services I also think is really good, and then enterprise version as well with things like higher security, storage engines, logging etc are very good. MariaDB is still primarily a relational DB, and I dont think there are huge advantages about that, but it was something that wasnt very strong of a positive for us. I did mention the open source community was a pretty good advantage, but I think compared to others like MySQL it is significantly behind a little in that facet.
