We used MariaDB to make use of Galera clustering. We found the command prompt and logging to be better than that of MySQL. Also, new features usually come faster to MariaDB. Extremely stable to use in Production systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not much to dislike. There are a few caveats that need to be covered. It was intended to be a drop in replacement for MySQL but the project has deviated from MySQL since 5.5 release of MySQL.
